The overflow reservoir is quite functional and attractive. really improves the bay's appearance. Through and through a great product. A couple of minor points: I'd advise hiring a professional installer for the installation because you'll need to build a bracket for the brackets given to attach to, and I'd advise applying anti-seize to the threads to prevent damage. The only drawback I saw was how inexpensive the rubber tubing was. I advise using the original overflow tube that is connected to the stock one you are taking out.

It went extremely well. Our 275 gallon salon oil tank's old float broke and was extremely difficult to remove. Fortunately, we had two different-sized capped apertures. I used thread sealer, chose the 2 inch aperture away from the oil fill intake, then tightened it with an 18 inch adjustable plumber's wrench. Since they are on so tightly, I don't see how using any other wrench will work. You may easily remove the plastic bubble (as seen in my photo) with your hands so that you can securely tighten the new float down. You cannot tighten the rods without striking and harming the new assembly on the tank's side if you don't detach the plastic bubble and lift the rods up. You might not need to remove the bubble if the tank is totally empty because the rods ought to be nearly vertical.

Before I left for vacation and drove from Virginia to Florida, I opted to install one of these in my old corolla because it had a lot of blow by. 400 miles of city and around 1,000 miles of highway. The plastic vacuum hose is way too thin and will collapse under vacuum, so I quickly ran up to the store and bought some heavy duty rubber fuel lines and boom, no collapsed vacuum lines. For the money, it's worth it. I wasn't expecting much when I checked the dip stick on the container, so I decided to open it up and pour it into a plastic bag so I could look at it better.

Outstanding tank for the price. and looks fantastic. With just the clamp, it perfectly matched my 1972 Maverick. Nearly as if Ford had planned it. Yes, I did drill a 1/8 "sideways knurling on the lid, through the hole. It will function as is if your system is sealed. But in order to vent for our ancient open overflows, it must be drilled. Moreover, never fill the tank. It should stop making a mess at the taco bell drive-through if it is only the radiator. It's the only thing that is clean, as you can see from the picture. She must have therefore stopped vomiting the ex-bodily girlfriend's fluid. and thus far seems to do what is intended by pulling it back into the radiator as she cools.I only gave it four stars. 1. The mounting hardware has a tacky, flimsy appearance. I'm glad the clamp was all I required. the hose enters the tank 2 as well "I believe it might be lower, and it is above the bottom.Other than that, the tank and lid are well crafted. Outstanding finish. And I appreciate that it may be modified to work with a drill only, vented or not.In addition, this tank would function well as an oil tank for a bike or other vehicle. The fluids and applications that this tank could be used for are numerous.

My second catch can is this one. I chose this one since it would allow for the best installation in this car due to the port orientation and mounting characteristics. Otherwise, I preferred the other. The fittings are made of black aluminum and have threads that are equal to NPT but not tapered as one might anticipate. I used brass 3/8 hose barb fittings because the hose was too large. Nevertheless, both male and female threads function successfully as tapered NPT; all you need to do is use a lot of the included thread tape or another type of pipe dope. For what it is, it might be lighter. Although this one is less free-flowing than my other, what difference does it actually make? It seems to be working if you have a muscle car without rocker covers to prevent oil from being sucked through and forming deposits. My oily-looking plugs have changed to look like they are burning in happy, clean cylinders. Attention TPI early Chevys Particularly if you don't have the 9th injector to wash the oil out, the factory PCV tubes in the intake base might gather blowby oil and then swirl it into the intake runners (#8).

The can, which was delivered from China, arrived to me in a week. That's very impressive on its own.The can has no stray burrs or machining flaws and is sturdy and neatly finished. The can's threads and barbs are excellent. The bronze filter seems sturdy and has good flow. Overall, it seems well made and is beautifully put together, especially considering the price. But there is a problem. Go on reading. The can and both hose barbs have O-rings, which create a good seal there. Herein is the problem. The bottom bung of the can is not sealed, despite the rest of the can sealing up well. Therefore, since the can I received would leak oil, it should not be fitted the way it was.Update: The seller immediately responded and took care of my issue. I put water in the can, took a picture of the dripping, and sent it to the seller as evidence that it leaked. They sent me a new can and offered their apologies for the problem. As soon as the can is received, I'll update the review once more. So far, the seller has provided really good service. In a week and a half, I got the replacement can from China. Very good.Compared to the first can, the plug fits better. I believe that was the deciding factor. Like the original, the new can also includes tape woven into the threads.Notably, I took the first can apart while I waited for the replacement and discovered several burrs on the inside threads. That is another area where the second is superior. I wouldn't think that's a problem because I'd check for burrs even on a pricey can. Just something you should probably anticipate given the can's price. No huge deal; they are readily deburred.Five stars due to the second can's higher quality and the seller's good service in fixing the problem with the first can and sticking by their goods.

I'll start by saying that the construction quality is actually rather good. The can itself is really sturdy, and all of the inside components are expertly put together. Although the hose and fittings are a touch cheap, you can always upgrade to better ones for very little extra money. The mounting bracket is my primary worry. I completely comprehend the idea, and in theory it should function, but the bracket has a small amount of offset. This makes it possible for the can to sit too near to the mounting surface and makes it much easier to tightly secure everything. To enable the entire setup to sit further away from where it is placed and allow you to actually be able to remove it without cursing at it, I recommend using long bolts with washers or perhaps a long stud with 2 nuts.A M6x1.0 bolt required me to slightly enlarge the mounting holes, which took an additional two minutes if you had a drill and bits.Other than these problems, the device performs just as promised. No more engine bays with oil stains!7/10Not bad for an extra $25 or so.

My bowl is "floating" on the hose because it didn't come with the bracket. It also felt like it was going to break when I tried to remove the bowl to empty it, so I totally removed it and poured the oil back out the hole it was placed in. Other than that, it performs as I had anticipated.

In contrast to what other people claim to have received, the catch can is obviously from a different factory, or at the very least, a separate production run. While other reviews appear to have burrs and metal shavings all on their cans, mine doesn't at all. The can's silver appears to be a coating that was applied precisely and consistently. The threading on the kit's various components is well within the tolerances I'd anticipate for a can costing two or three times as much. It is well-balanced, has two baffles in the top section, a metal plate with holes, and a brass filter that fastens to the underside of the lid. The only thing I should point out is that both the kit and the engine fittings on my Silverado use 3/8 fuel line. However, as 3/8 fuel line is DIFFICULT to fit on them, the fittings that come in this kit are likely a little bigger than that. I couldn't even fit the worm gear clamps I bought to secure them after they were on, so I had to oil the fittings and force the fuel line on them. Even though the fittings were too big, I couldn't really complain because of their good quality. Once more, the entire kit was under $20. Buy this catch can if you want one.
