Souber DBB Lock Mortiser Review:

With the Souber DBB Lock Mortiser, challenging deep mortising is simple. Make sure you have the right drill, though. The Makita HP2050 6.6 Amp 3/4 in. Corded Hammer Drill, which cost an extra $100.00, was also required because the jig needs a drill with speeds of 3000 RPM. Once you have the necessary tools, you can complete all of your deep mortising tasks. Be aware that high-speed drills are not as frequent or inexpensive as you would believe.

Bench Mortiser, 1/2 HP, 120V, 1/2" Cap. Review:

I used to laugh at films that utilized their bench-top mortising station because it looked like spending money to address an issue that could be resolved with some skill and patience with a fairly sharp chisel (I have neither). By hand, I have probably completed close to 200 mortise and tenon joints.I started a project that required more than 100 mortise and tenon joints, and when I realized I would have to work on them by hand for a full week in my spare time, I finally gave in and bought this.It has since become my preferred shop tool.It will never be as clean as a hand cut, and it definitely benefits from setup and fine tweaking, but oh Jesus, it moves things along so much more quickly. Once set up, it takes one minute to clear a 2 inch mortise to any depth.

Bosch CG27M450 4-1/2 In. 3/32 In. 7/8 In. Arbor Type 27 24 Grit Light Grinding/Metal Cutting Abrasive Wheel Review:

This product has received good reviews.

RIKON Professional Power Tools Benchtop X/Y Mortiser, 34-260 Review:

On this product, I'll concur with the other reviews. The xy table is excellent, and the machine itself is ok. The machine's included parts are terrible. They don't eject effectively, create a tonne of noise, and heat up quickly due to poor machine work. Due of my worries about the noise and overheating, I already cracked one and was using it very cautiously. I would instantly purchase better parts. Overall, I'm pleased with the machine because it now satisfies my demands.

WEN 43012 5-Amp Cast Iron Bench Mortiser with Chisel Bit Set Review:

I felt obligated to assess this device as the VALUE bench top mortiser it was intended to be after reading the one-star review.I cut eight (non-practice) mortises so far from a gift I received for Christmas. I won't get into technicalities regarding the bearings and gears, but I can state that it worked AS EXPECTED. Key phrases: as anticipated. This mortiser costs less than $300, so it functions about as I would anticipate it to. Buy something else if you want the same precision and strength that Powermatic provides. This machine is a wonderful option if you're searching for a basic moister that can actually cut a mortis. I don't mind a little "fiddling" to achieve the cut I require given the pricing. Due to some of the alignment flaws described in another review, you must undoubtedly sneak up on your line. Additionally, be prepared to use a chisel to clear the mortise. Most people shouldn't find this to be a deal-breaker because most of these machines—and perhaps all of the ones anywhere near this price point—require that.VERDICT: Take into account your use, accuracy requirements, etc. I'm a lover of both Woodpeckers and Festool, so I'm used to spending more for superior products. A mortiser was more of a wish than a need for me, so I picked this one because of the price and since I like WEN for several instruments. I received exactly what I was hoping for.

PORTER-CABLE 513 1-1/2 Horsepower Lock Mortiser Review:

I have to admit that this gadget was priceless while installing a house's worth of custom doors with mortised hardware. The initial alignment of the tools made the set up a little frustrating for me, but after it was done, everything worked perfectly. The instrument must be used vertically, which is awkward because of its weight. That was the sole drawback. The tool's switch toggle quit functioning after about three doors, and I had to unplug it to stop it. It was frustrating and possibly dangerous, but I managed to get the toggle to function again. Overall. It saved me a ton of time, which made me pleased. I also strongly advise using the face plate template.
