Excellent sander, powerful but light. I mistakenly believed that the lack of variable speed would be important, yet all it takes is varying the pressure applied to the work piece. I have an orbital sander, a 5" and 7" grinder, and more. The grinders function well for removing bulky materials, but they lack much control for precise work. For light weight finishes like wood or painted/sealed wood work, the orbital sander is excellent. But I need something that will take off the hard surface while still giving me control without damaging the finish because I am rebuilding a fiberglass yacht. This is it, and it is strongly advised. Despite some concerns, the Makita sanding discs are less expensive than the grinder wheels I use. I considered purchasing the Velcro disc attachment, but the plastic disc that comes with the tool is sufficient. When I run out of the pads I bought, I'll try to alter other sanding pad discs to fit the wheel.

This is a good bargain for a homeowner who uses it infrequently given the price. Given that I was working on a few rooms over several days, it was less expensive than renting an industrial sander. I got this to use with a buffing pad and buffing compound to maintain the crystal bright headlights on my car, and it serves this job for me just fine. The polishing pad is not included, but I already had one from a previous project that is the perfect size. It was awful with our walls! terrible texture, coated in dark glossy paint and with irregular bumps and splotches. Because of the brush that surrounds the sander's edge, this grinder produces extremely little dust. We continued to use eye and face protection. Two seniors and I completed the entire house in a few days. Even Mrs. Senior managed to finish a few walls. It weighs roughly 10 lbs., plus tubing, to vacuum, but no pressure is needed. Controlling it and moving over the walls was simple. I'm so glad we did. What a distinction! We will paint it soon after I lightly mudded with extremely thin drywall compound using a magic trowel.

This is among the worst pieces of power equipment I have ever bought, and I have used power equipment professionally for more than forty years. I set up the device and experimented with using it on drywall joints in a practice area. Everything was good when I set the speed and turned it on since I believed the pressure would keep it flat on the ground. The motor suddenly began to accelerate, making the pad harder to operate. The motor then gave forth a burning scent. I switched the tool back on after resetting it from 3 to 1. The same event took place. The business indicated that I could return it because I think it is defective. It cost me roughly 40% of the original price when you include the "restocking fee" and the shipping costs. Just two queries, please. How can you "restock" a product that is broken, and how can you, as a distributor, ignore this kind of product performance?Recent development: Cornerstone Trading has acknowledged that the sander I received was faulty. They have therefore reimbursed me for the price of the sander as well as my shipping costs. A distributor can only be asked to do this. Evidently, their return procedure, not a corporate policy, was what led to the confusion. I appreciate that they investigated the situation and then fixed it.

One of the best items I've ever purchased for a home repair project, in my opinion. The sender appears to be well-made and sturdy. The device is quite hefty, which I wasn't expecting, but after 10–5 minutes of practice, my hands got used to it and it wasn't a hassle to use in the future. It's great that you may use the built-in vacuum without connecting the transmitter to an external vacuum because it functions just as well. In my opinion, the purchase price was well spent on this gadget.I should also point out that the seller did a fantastic job of included 6 sand disks with the sender. I really went into two HomeDepo locations and one Lowe's, and none of them had 8.8 to 9-inch sand disks. Eventually, I also placed an Amazon order for fresh disks.
