It's a nice find to find this tiny sander. I purchased it because I wanted a corner sander, and because I had read that Fein sanders were significantly more expensive, I felt comfortable taking a chance. The tight corner option on this sander completed all of my first projects, but I also used it to prepare the side of a cabin for repainting and a few other quite sizable chores. To add to my collection, I'm constantly looking for instruments that strike a certain balance between high quality and reasonable price. For a previous renovation, I rented a pricey Porter Cable sander; this Wen does the same job. The essential factor in getting a clean finish is technique. It does wobble a little if you let it chatter, but you can easily stop it by changing the pressure, the direction of travel, the tool's orientation, the arm's movement, or the RPM. The same is true for the porter cable. I've only sanded about 2000 square feet total with either brand, so take everything I say with a grain of salt. I oversanded the rental, which was my fault.If your vacuum has a filter sock or other prefilter accessory, there will be almost no dust. Plastic wasn't put up for what you see in the video. Nothing nearby has a thin covering of dust. Just occasionally allow the pad to breathe to avoid cake-up and reduced suction. When you see your vacuum motor beginning to stress and your CFMs decreasing (every 10-15 minutes), remove your filter sock.Specific feedback about Wen: -No issues with build quality.-Pad size is perfect; the sandpaper is not in contact with the bristles.I merely taped together whatever I had on hand; you might need a hose adaptor. To prepare my table top and chairs for restaining, I used this sander to sand them down. It was simple to use and performed excellently. The triangle base choice made it simpler to sand corners and tight spaces than the square base option, which I haven't used yet. The Velcro sanding sheet system is extremely appealing to me. I've tried utilizing the sanders you have to try to replace sheets using the clip mechanism, but I've never had any luck. They were quite annoying to me, and I frequently couldn't finish my work because the sand paper wouldn't stay in place. With this approach, all you have to do is remove the old sheet and replace it. Yes, plastic is used to make these. They will begin to melt if you overwork them and cause them to become too hot. Avoid using them at rapid speeds and focusing a lot of your attention on a single pad corner. Spread out your work over the entire area, and take short breaks as needed. The pad will function perfectly and endure for a very long time if you do this. While multi-tools are excellent, they are not perfect in every situation. By attaching this pad to your tool, you are essentially making a saw perform the duties of a sander. If you comprehend this, your results will be positive.

I adore this sander so much! With the extended nose, it excels at entering cracks. It fastens with a tiny screw, remains place, and performs admirably. It comes with a black rope backpack-style bag, but it also fits perfectly in my toolbox. A Ryobi sander costs $25, but it lacks the nose extension and operates at 12,500 rpm rather than 13,000.
