I just moved into a new house, and in the front yard I saw a sprinkler valve box without a cover. This provided an immediate solution and was a perfect fit for a box with a diameter of just about 7 inches. Although it didn't require much effort or squeezing to seat, this cover doesn't feel too loose. Nothing to complain about; it completes the task at hand. This cover is definitely on top of the original cover for this sort of box in the photograph.

On these, expect a lifespan of 10–15 years. Some failed for me because the rubber diaphragm became brittle or tore. Some of them I had had a bad solenoid.Simply purchasing the entire valve and using it to swap out the top half of the existing valve is simpler and more cost-effective.Repair is not very difficult. Cut the water off. On both old and new, remove the 6 screws. Bring the solenoid, top cap, spring, and diaphragm to the valve body that is leaking or shorted. To join the wires, use watertight splices or grease caps. While polarity is unimportant, pay attention to how well shielded the wire connections are. Online, there are a ton of videos with further information. If you use hand tools, it takes around 15 minutes; if you have a powered screwdriver, it takes about half that time. Not the jar-cap type, but the 6-screw type.Additionally, be aware that the interior of the 3/4" and 1" valves is identical. Either will work if you're repairing. The pipe attachment size is the sole distinction.

TL;DR: Kit functions incredibly well, especially given its cost.I purchased this item with considerable skepticism because it only looks to narrow the stream from your hose and appears to lack any special delicacy. But after using it, I have no reservations about recommending it.I used pvc cement to secure the nozzle to a tiny length of 3/4-inch pvc, then I attached a female 3/4 connector to the other end. In a similar manner, join a male 3/4 to the component that connects to your garden hose. This enabled me to continuously add 1 ft segments (for example) as I was pushing it through, allowing me to tunnel beneath a part that was longer than the ditch I constructed. This significantly lengthened the process, but in my case, it was worthwhile.The identical initial technique of attaching male and female pvc connections to the nozzle and hose connector will make this kit reusable regardless of your demands; simply push through and unscrew the nozzle on the other end.Just be ready to push and tug a drop to aid it along if your soil is really pebbly or rocky like mine was.Finally, I discovered a rubber mallet to be quite helpful in finishing the pipe's placement. Why is it so difficult to locate these 3/4? "risers in retail. There seems to only be a 1/2 everywhere "risers. I'm very happy that these are available on Amazon. They must not have been needed only by me because I paid roughly $5 for each of them during the summer. They are now at a much more manageable $0.75 in December. As long as you use a hack saw or other comparable tool to make a clean cut, they behave precisely as you would expect them to. The use of these risers for all of my 3/4 "sprinkler heads that over time have sunk too deeply into the ground. If you possess 3/4 "This is EXACTLY what you need if your sprinkler heads are positioned too low in the earth.

This is the sole option if you want an integrated valve with a built-in vacuum breaker. I've been gradually replacing all of my valves with rain-birds and I'm extremely happy with them. Excellent flow rate, no issues, easy installation, and I really like how easy it is to maintain. I recently installed 6 of these, and as a result of having too much dirt in the intake, the breather became contaminated. Because the hole I was working in would have flooded, I decided to take the risk of not purging. Therefore, all but one of them were able to pass through the debris and mud from the installation. Since I installed using unions, I just unscrewed the solenoid [comes off in about 2 turns so you don't have to separate the wires] and pulled the entire valve. I like the orbit unions. The architecture of the valve and breaker is well thought out, making disassembly on the bench incredibly easy. I was also able to remove the debris with ease. It was put back together and operating flawlessly in only five minutes.

Had issues with water loss by my valves, and a loose solenoid would have improved the water flow to the sprinklers. Water also leaked as a result of this. Additionally, some valves appeared to buzz. I made the decision to purchase 1 solenoid after investigating YouTube for troubleshooting. It fully resolved all of the issues. Purchased a second one, and, wow, the second valve was operating flawlessly. For my remaining zones, I purchased 2 MORE, and everything is operating flawlessly. And was far less expensive than if I had gone to the big-box hardware store. extremely simple to install and rewire. Since my sprinklers were put in 15 years ago, I suppose it was time. This served as the power source for a capacitive discharge circuit called a "Snapper" that controls switches on my N-gauge model railway track. It has been working flawlessly for almost a year, and its higher voltage was just what was required to fire several switches at once. Other customers who reported that the device died shortly after being connected were probably using it for a device that required more current than the 300ma that the device is rated for. There is a 700ma-rated Orbitz model that would have likely been preferable. Before ordering a transformer to satisfy the demands of your system, confirm the current specifications of that system. The 500ma supply that my irrigation system needs, as stated in the handbook, would probably have been too much for this equipment.

When purchasing a standard hose valve, I started putting this product together after it arrived as described, packaged properly. I was able to fix the problem with some wrenches and Teflon tape. I inserted it into a Rainbird valve and left it in place for a while to ensure that there were no leaks before I connected a garden hose and sprayer and started watering my plants.
