The board and stand were intended to swap out an outdated board. Unfortunately, there was no way to buy an anchor bolt replacement system. Before the pool deck was finished, the triangle-shaped bolts that were provided were welded together in a triangular pattern. It could only be used by removing a portion of the pool deck, installing the bolt rig, and then replacing the removed portion of deck. I discovered they did provide another anchor method for $200 more, which could be utilized when the deck was already installed, after the new stand had been delivered. I regret not getting that straight before I paid for the useless anchor system. I chose to take out and grind down the rebar that they had welded to the bolts rather than shell out an extra $200 for three bolts and some high strength epoxy. I spent a total of $25 more than necessary on the bolts and a tube of high strength anchoring epoxy from Lowe's.

An 8' diving board mysteriously vanished during shipping, but Amazon promptly sent a replacement, and the item was delivered just as promised. Excellent color that complements my exposed aggregate decking and adobe-colored coping well. My S. R. Smith cantilever base, which is approximately 30 years old, fitted up precisely with the holes and hardware. The base was resurrected and complemented by the diving board with some sand-colored Rustoleum. I now have a designer look for how much a replacement board would cost. Much better than the old diving board's white slash that protruded into the yard for years. The board blends in with the surroundings nearly seamlessly. Owners of diving boards take note: my old dive board seemed to be in excellent condition. It had cracked at the bolt holes, though, and a major injury could have happened at any moment. Check both the top and bottom of your boards at the bolt holes. If there is splitting, a replacement is necessary. Additionally, the corrosion on my original bolts and nuts was welding them together. Using a reciprocating saw with a metal blade, the issue was quickly solved. Stainless steel new hardware is included with the board.

not as resilient as the old board. very rigid The white board's product image, which depicts four mounting holes, is incorrect. Every other image for the other hues was accurate. I checked the component number on the Interfab website to make sure it was correct, and when it arrived, it was a board with two mounting holes. The mounting bolts were perfect. The hardware that is supplied and the installation guidelines are shown in one image. had prime delivery and was $100 less expensive than everywhere else.

I checked the first board when it arrived and saw that the no-slip grip was peeling, therefore I rejected the package. Don't waste your time attempting to phone the company since you'll get the run-around; the shipping company took it back, and I wrote the firm through Amazon. Company supplied a replacement board and all the installation supplies we required. The setup was quite easy, and the board was operational in time for the Fourth of July! It has been continuously used by kids! We are really happy with the experience and anticipate using this board for another 20 to 30 years.

Through Amazon, I placed my order for the In The Swim product. The diving board was there in a flash.The concrete was on its way after our in-ground pool had recently installed. I was unsure if the diving board jig the pool company indicated they would send would fit. When I called SR Smith, they immediately connected me with tech support. They claimed that their jig was 14 inches long and 6.5 inches wide. I had the jig installed by the pool company when they showed up with one that was the exact right size. I also discussed the various board alternatives with SR Smith and gave him a suggestion based on what we were doing. Instead of recommending the most expensive option, they suggested the BEST option. Customer service earns SR Smith one point.I inquired about the pricing of the board with the pool company, and was informed that it was $1,100 more than I had been quoted in the swim. I quickly placed an order for it through In The Swim on Amazon.The boxes came really quickly. So quickly that I held off on installing it until the concrete had had time to properly set. It was advised to put anti-seize on the bolts, and the instructions were quite clear and contained torque specifications. Given that we have a salt water pool, this is a very smart concept. On the jig that the pool business installed, the fiberglass base fit perfectly. Unpacking it, reading the directions, locating the torque wrench (yes, you need one), and installing it all took me no more than ten minutes. The board came after that. I unpacked it and once more tightened it to specifications using a torque wrench. Although I didn't think it required the specified foot pounds, I placed it in the middle of the range because it felt a little uneasy.Note a couple things. Bees could build nests in the gap between the board and the base, which is hollow. I'm concerned because the bees around us are a problem. Water will undoubtedly enter the base, as well. I'm not sure if the three holes the bolt goes through will allow it to drain.The board creaked and cracked the first time I jumped on it, but that is to be anticipated given that it is new. A 230-pound man jumping on it is prepared for that sort of thing. It has a 250# rating. It felt excellent and had good spring. It didn't seem as though it would break. We'll monitor its durability throughout the summer.The majority of children will utilize this board to leap into the pool, with the occasional adult trying to relive his or her youth. In the long term, it ought to be alright.I also enjoy that if I don't like the board, I can switch it out for one that is stiffer. Not that I would change it every day, but if I desired a stiffer board, I am aware that I could purchase one and, with the addition of two bolts, modify the feel.People have made remarks regarding the board's abrasiveness. That is completely accurate. It is extremely simple to remove skin from your knee. Additionally, it will prevent you from falling off the end and damaging your neck or back. I would have assumed there was a fault if the board had arrived without any abrasive on it or felt less abrasive. These things naturally become wet, so you want it to have some sort of grip.Would I advise. No doubt. Try it out. Excellent customer service and a fantastic product.

It didn't take me long to discover that my old diving board and diving board stand were rusting quickly after I switched my pool over to a salt water system. The board was rusting, and it was also beginning to run onto my cold deck and stain it with rust. When I called S.R. Smith, they informed me that all I needed to do was replace with a diving board that was suitable for saltwater. Without requiring any modifications or reconfiguration, the replacement board fit perfectly on my current installation! It is operating well, and the cool deck has no rust.
