To attend my nephew's nighttime wedding in two weeks, this is just what I need. Someone finally realized that a large woman can be tall! Delivery from Amazon was timely as usual. I wear a size 20MT (mid tall) in LL Bean Bayside Twill pants (my regular work pants), a large in men's Hawaiian shirts from Costco, and I am 5'10" and 230 lbs (my everyday work shirt). The fabric and style of this dress are substantial enough to show off my contours without drawing attention to my flabby belly. It is a very dark blue color and falls to just past my knees, just like in the model's photo. The front neckline is beautifully embellished with lighter and darker blue round beads and bugle beads. The bodice has a tiny amount of cleavage, which is ideal for a cocktail dress but not too revealing for the groom's aunt. I predict that this style will appeal to both smaller and larger busted ladies. The lightweight jacket has embroidery at the shoulders and bugle beads, just like in the model's photo, and it reaches my wrists. Overall, I'm really happy with my dress and will definitely purchase from S.L. Fashions again.

I was crossing my fingers that the sizing would be suitable for me because this dress is just gorgeous. With the exception of a little bit more zipper strain at the waist and torso than I was comfortable with, the 16 regular that I had tried on in Dillard's was lovely and just what I wanted. The W plus sizes were not available for me to try on at Dillard's, so I looked at Amazon reviews instead. Those were VERY useful in allowing me to compare the sizing chart with other people's actual experiences wearing clothing with proportions comparable to mine. I am disproportionately curvaceous at 42-38-44 inches and 185 pounds at 5'4" after dropping 80 pounds in a year. As I don't have an elongated hourglass figure with a wasp waist and large behind, my midsection is always the problem with these types of dresses. Simply a declining BBW Because this dress' fabric has a nice "give" factor in addition to the attractive rucheing that hides some lingering bulges, I often wear a fairly true 14/16 off the rack. I have a large bust (40 F), however this dress isn't too low cut to be a bad choice for a wedding. Given that the evaluations claim that the size has some leeway, depending on how "Jessica Rabbit" you want to show this garment, I could have definitely gotten away with a 14W. As my arms are disproportionately thin to my otherwise curvaceous figure, I had the 16 W hemmed, obviously an easy fix, taken in at the hips and shoulders, and the sleeves taken in a little more snugly, but I would rather do that than have a "too tight" fit and feel self-conscious all evening. The firmer the hourglass form in this lovely ruched sheath with a gathered, almost bustle-like rear gather and floor drag, the better, in contrast to a few reviews that claim you may get away with not wearing shapewear underneath this dress. Regardless of size, the dress demands your finest try at the ideal female shape. Even my children exclaimed, "WOW," when they saw the improvement after wearing a body shaper underneath this dress. I have a solid torso and no obvious waist indentation. Do it. Buy it. adore it

This dress is wonderful! In Las Vegas, my spouse and I are getting married. We didn't anticipate shelling out a lot of cash. So, this dress was undoubtedly within my means. Since my size wasn't available, I actually ordered a size too large and had to have the shoulder straps pushed up to make it fit. I got lots of praises when I wore this to my daughter's formal wedding and reception! Although a few glitter do fall off, it doesn't really shed sparkles. For the quantity of sparkles that came off, it wasn't excessive and wasn't a major concern. I believe you should anticipate it with any thing that sparkles in any way. After that, I had the dress and jacket dry cleaned, and everything came out alright. However, I did use a good cleaner and not a "cheap" type cleaner because I wanted the dress to be thoroughly cleaned and preserved. I tried on a lot of lengthy dresses for the wedding of my daughter, so I was so happy to find this one!
