I take the bus to work, which means I stand outside in the rain and darkness quite a bit. Although I've purchased additional backpack rain covers, this is the first one that fulfilled my expectations.Even while I'm performing high-intensity movement, the harnesses keep it securely fastened to the backpack. By unclipping one clip, it detaches simply, allowing access to the bag's interior, and reattaching it is just as simple (you do have to take the backpack off.)It has shown to be quite water resistant thus far. Water did not pass through the cover while I was wearing it in a hefty, wind-driven downpour (.25" in 1 hour).I'm confident that the wide reflective stripe has reduced the number of times I have to dodge cars, however I did choose the dayglo yellow hue, so it could have also been helpful.With this buy, I am quite happy.

recently spent a wet weekend close to White Rocks (Ewing, VA). Despite only having a 20% chance of precipitation, it drizzled all day and for of the night. Given that the size of my pack was on the verge, I had bought 2 covers. In the end, my trekking companion required one, and my "extra" one fit into his pack. These ponchos have been so helpful! I'm very glad I bought it for my trip to Costa Rica! A severe downpour struck while we were out on a forest excursion. We didn't get wet from the shins up! I used Amazon's volume to dimension suggestion to get the medium rain cover for the soft panniers on my adventure cycle. Sadly, with only 3 sizes to provide a wide range, it can be challenging to determine the correct size, and medium was too small. Dream Lin promised to send me both large and extra large so I could receive the proper size since they wanted to win my business. I asked them to send me the extra large size instead of the large because I didn't want to take advantage of their generosity and I thought a large could be marginal. That was another another error in judgment on my side. The extra large was a little too big. Therefore, I have to decide whether to get the large or put up with poorly fitted covers. I guess. Never stop learning! You at least know that they strive to please, and I heartily endorse both them and their goods.

When I bought this, I was a little concerned. I had never heard of this brand before, and frequently, less expensive things are of lower quality. When this arrived in the mail, I was delighted. It is lightweight and thin. An elastic band surrounds the edge, giving it the appearance of a shower cap or hair net but with better stitching. It won't shatter easily, in my opinion. I have a women's Osprey Fairview 55 pack, which when zipped together has a 40 L main compartment and a 15 L detachable daypack for a total capacity of 55 L. Because having a dry pack but a wet sleeping bag utterly defeats the purpose of a rain cover, I bought the XL cover to allow for the size of the pack as well as room to attach a compression sack with a sleeping bag and pad on the outside. I packed the pack with supplies and attached the compression bag to the bottom straps to test it out (I haven't really used it yet). Pack and compression sack were perfectly covered by the XL. I also used the sink to test the permeability, and I'm delighted to report that no moisture passed through the lid. Even after allowing a puddle of water to rest on the cover for some time, not a single drop of water leaked through. This will keep my valuables dry, even in a deluge, I'm sure of it. According to various reviews I've read, there are no straps to fasten the cover. The XL, on the other hand, included two, one horizontal and one vertical. They were adjustable, so if my pack wasn't full or the compression bag wasn't attached, it could be tighter. It takes up very little space in my pack when folded up and is quite compact. It is in use. It comes with a carrying case that does everything to keep air out and compress it, so I suppose it could be squeezed much more if needed. Even so, the XL carrying case would probably flatten to roughly half that size, making it only slightly larger than two pairs of hiking socks. I'm thrilled with this purchase and heartily endorse it. A smaller one will go in the detachable day pack, I think.

This backpack rain cover has come in handy numerous times during Iowa's RAINY fall.When trying to keep my luggage and all of its contents dry, there isn't much more I could ask for than something lightweight, packable, and WATERPROOF! Because I own a variety of bags, I went with the large size, which has two bungee straps that cross your back (between your back and the backpack) and can be tightened to protect both smaller bags and the larger bags the rain cover is designed to protect. The cover not only keeps my belongings dry, but it also adds a layer of safety by having a bright, reflective strip that increases visibility in poor lighting. It makes sense because you'll be harder to see if it's raining (especially at night), but I wouldn't have thought to include a reflective strip on my own. Just a clever finishing touch that I really value. These two packs were just sent to me today, and they are EXACTLY what I needed for a future Disney vacation. They have no fragrance at all and are extremely long-lasting. These will undoubtedly endure the duration of the journey and possibly beyond. I required the elastic wrist cuff to ensure dry sleeves, and the drawstring hood is also fantastic. Last night in Phoenix during a monsoon rain, I used this item. I was pleased by how well it held up in strong winds and side winds while keeping me 80% dry. Except for my feet and shins, I was dry. This reaches my shins. The sleeves are big and I am 5'4". No matter how you fold it, it fits easily in the carry case that comes with it. The thing I don't like is that I have incredibly dark black hair and clothing, so when I walk home at night, no one can see me and automobiles honk at me because they didn't see me. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem because the street lights were down during this storm. I'm relieved to be able to remove this slim carrying case and have protection.

It wasn't until a recent severe downpour that I had the opportunity to test this product, which I had only recently purchased. Although the cover is thin, I didn't feel that it was particularly delicate because of its adequate thickness. The straps were fastened, and it was simple to attach to my bag. I had worried that the cover clips would make it impossible for me to utilize the shoulder straps, but after a little fiddling, it wasn't an issue. I arrived at my location after a half-mile walk through the rain, when I discovered that the cover had mostly resisted the water and was not overly wet itself (i.e. it was not absorbing water). My bag was 100 percent dry. Although I haven't yet had a chance to use it, I'm pleased so far.When making the purchase, I used the inch measurements rather than the "Size" (volume in liters). It works excellent for me to use this to cover my hunting pack. I wanted clothing that could withstand being dragged over the mountains while being waterproof, strong, lightweight, and extremely visible.
