If you are one of those people who just cannot get comfortable no matter how many different pillows you try, then a camping pillow may be for you. Camping pillows are designed to give you the support and comfort you need to get a good night’s sleep, even when you are sleeping on the ground. There are a few things to consider when choosing a camping pillow. First, you need to decide if you want a pillow that is inflatable or one that is filled with down or another type of filling. Inflatable pillows are much easier to carry
Inflatable pillows are definitely comfy! I have one that I use when I travel and it's so much nicer than a regular pillow. It's easy to inflate and deflate, and it doesn't take up much space in your luggage.
Yes, you can take a normal pillow camping. However, there are some things to consider before doing so. For example, if you are using a sleeping bag, you will want to make sure that the pillow will fit inside the bag. You may also want to consider using a pillowcase to protect the pillow from dirt and moisture.
Sleeping bags are designed to provide comfort and warmth, but they can be used without a pillow. If you choose to use a sleeping bag without a pillow, you may want to consider using a blanket or clothing to create a makeshift pillow. Some people find that sleeping without a pillow allows their head and neck to rest in a more natural position.

This inflatable pillow is perfect for travellers and campers because of its small, lightweight construction. It's approximately five "When rolled up, it is around 2.8 oz heavy and about 1 inch long (but it may be compressed even more). It is approximately 18 when expanded "long.Although I don't believe any inflated pillow would compare in comfort to the large memory foam pillow I use on my bed, it's comfy enough to let you get a good night's rest when you're camping. I used it to camp in Yosemite, where I was able to get enough rest to trek for 15 km the next day. Depending on how much air you use, you can change the pillow's hardness; personally, I like it better when it's not totally inflated. The dual inflation nozzle on this pillow, which makes it incredibly simple to both inflate and deflate, is probably my favorite feature. Without needing to pinch anything off, all the air stays in place as you inflate. The back of the nozzle opens out to let all the air out when you wish to deflate.

Since there have been so many evaluations of this pillow, I'll try to contribute something unique as well as remarks on the same issues that others have reported.Regarding the scent, about which many people have complained, I believe it varies from pillow to pillow. Mine had hardly any smell at all. There was only a slight memory foam odor (I am used to this, as I have slept on solid memory foam pillows for years...and yes, the smell does dissipate in fairly short order). The pillow had almost no smell and was quite plump after I simply placed it in the dryer for the recommended amount of time (approximately 5 minutes). So, for me, that problem was essentially unimportant.Along with this pillow, I also purchased a set of toddler pillow cases. It fits well in a standard toddler pillow case, and if you look online, you can find patterns that are appropriate for adults (they are not all "baby-like" designs). Even better, I found one made of silk that will keep my hair neater as I sleep. Finding a Toddler pillow case that you prefer will address the issue if you don't like the thought of sleeping on the given case, which has COOP written on it.When it comes to pillows, the evidence is in the way they FEEL and how our necks feel when we wake up. I tried my new travel pillow out at home and after one night I am sold. It seems like you're sleeping on a cloud, and for me, leaving the entire amount of fill inside the pillow was ideal (I am a side sleeper). I was a little worried that a smaller pillow wouldn't offer enough surface for sleeping, but I immediately learned that not only does it, but I really don't need a full size pillow. Therefore, I did order a full size COOP Eden pillow this morning to go on our regular bed since they only serve to fit a standard size pillow case.Although the included stuff sack is on the tiny side, you may fit the pillow within by tightly rolling it from one end to the other. I'm going to start carrying this cushion about with me wherever I go since I'll never again wake up with a painful neck from a bad hotel pillow! For convenience of usage, I intend to purchase a slightly bigger stuff sack for this cushion. Additionally, it will camp with me. Yes, I do intend to bring it for my trip to Europe in the spring.I got another one of these because the pillow I have on my couch is so uncomfortable (with a very pretty chevron design Toddler pillow case). For my nephew's Christmas present, I also got this same COOP company pillow in a toddler size. After years of looking for the "perfect" pillow, it is obvious that I am SOLD on this style.

After years of using thermarest pads, I ultimately grew tired of sleeping on a pillowcase filled with unflattering apparel. I figured I could use a good pillow as I backpack, paddle, and tour on a motorcycle. For my wife and I to travel with, I purchased both this and the little thermarest. Either cushion would have worked for us both. The Fillow's layout and compact size appealed to me. She discovered that the folded thermarest was adequate for side sleeping. Both of us fit into telecompressor bags, and with or without the Fillow, a pillow, sleeping bag, sheet, and space blanket compress into a ball roughly the same size. Thermarest pillows, in my opinion, don't compress as well as Fillow pillows. With the addition of these pillows and a pair of Trekology foldable chairs, our first four-day motorbike tour was incredibly cozy. This is luxury camping for us. Although no one who owns a class A motorhome would concur with that assertion, I wouldn't classify what they do as "camping."On my four-day hiking trip to see the fall colors, I'll be bringing this pillow. In the middle of October, I'll try to update this review again. The Fillow is comfortable and of decent quality so far, in my opinion.I do experience a little bit of difficulty with the Fillow quarter turn push/pull lock after using thermarest valves for many years. I'll get used to it, but it does seem strange after spending the majority of my life closing thermarest valves with a standard twist.Even if the bladder malfunctioned while traveling, you could still make a workable pillow out of the foam portion.

My preferred lumbar support cushion is this one. I started looking for lumbar support pillows that would fit in with two different cars, seats and couches at home, and desk chairs at work after damaging one lumbar disc and recovering nicely. Oh, and the seats in buses, theaters, and airplanes. I experimented with two different inflatable pillows and four different genuine pillows. All of the conventional lumbar pillows were returned since they were only compatible with one or two styles of seating. The first inflatable pillow (NOT a Thermarest) first appeared to function properly, but after two weeks it started to leak. The valve was made of flimsy plastic that was difficult to open and close and resembled a beach ball. It was difficult to adjust the pillow's firmness as a result. A replacement pillow was returned after it too leaked. Then, at last, I spotted this Therm-a-Rest back support! It's ideal. It travels everywhere with me and lets's be safe and comfortable while my back continues to strengthen and recover. Cars, vans, flights, theaters, restaurants... This cushion is ideal for the same incredible Therm-A-Rest inflation valve that has been keeping me comfortable when camping for years. Inflating and deflating it is simple. Never leaks, ever. If the pillow is too firm, I may leave it in its position behind me and reach to open the valve, allowing the cushion to relax a little before closing it, all without removing the pillow from its position. It is simple to deflate it, roll it up while the valve is open to make it very compact, and then close the valve to keep it wrapped up when traveling. It easily fits in my backpack. The cushion is held in place by the hourglass cutaway design, which concentrates the support on only my lumbar region.Additionally, I can see it and remember it in restaurants and theaters because the blue is a lovely hue.I have nothing but praise for this lumbar support pillow!Therm-a-Rest Nautical Blue Lumbar Pillow

Perfect pillows!I need to prepare for my first backpacking trip, and a good cushion is essential. I tried around five different kinds, including the 1.0 version of this a few months ago, but they were all disappointing. I saw this and decided to give it a shot before just bringing my cushion from home. The positive: The face feels much better.softer, more flexible, and less like sleeping in a balloon. It's also a little bigger and thicker. Time will tell whether it is robustly constructed. The wonderful strap is easily removable. I can use the strap to keep the pillow on top of it after placing a small dry bag of clothing underneath. provides me with the ideal height and protection for my head that I need. Additionally, the strap keeps it tightly wrapped when it is rolled up.Overall, a great product that has improved greatly. I'm no longer having pillow issues.

I don't write many reviews, either positive or negative. But I've gone to great pains to find a cushion that I could take on a planned backpacking trip that was comfy and packable. I've purchased a number, been dissatisfied, and returned them. I finally purchased this one. If I could, I'd give it a perfect 10! Pack-able! Yes, you can roll it up and place it in the stuff sack that comes with it with a little effort. You can even roll it a little bit smaller than the stuff sack with a little little effort. The most astounding thing about this cushion is how it emerges from the stuff bag as a thick, solid pillow that is several inches thick and velvety to the touch. Nearly five inches, I daresay Additionally, it is sturdy enough to maintain its shape and retain your head. I absolutely cannot praise his pillow highly enough. I honestly didn't believe I would find what I was looking for, but it is precisely what I needed. I'm so glad I resisted buying a half-blow-up, half-foam product from a different name brand. BUY this cushion. You won't regret doing it. I did wash mine, too. Next, it was dried on low heat. In all honesty, I believe that improved it. The same packability but with extremely firm fluffiness. AWESOME JOB, WISE OWL! I'M VERY PLEASED with my buy!

I was shocked to learn how challenging it would be to get a camping pillow. There are so many, and the number of reviews might make the situation confusing. After several pages, I almost gave up before discovering these hidden deep. Even though I knew inflatables would have an air leak issue, I still gave them a chance when reviewing other products. There are hybrids that include down, air, or some other type of foam, but they can be very pricey and ultimately fall short in terms of comfort. These fit in between the necessity to pack lightly and compactly when camping, which I can appreciate. I commute by bicycle and pull a trailer so I can, if necessary, lift extra weight. The most important thing to me is comfort; after all, that is what a pillow is for. This pillow satisfies that demand and packs up easily. Since it is manufactured from components comparable to the synthetic fiber fill found in many sleeping bags, there is no concern about air leakage. The size is ideal when using a sleeping pad, which for me measures 25 inches at the shoulder, and the removable outer cover is a requirement for me to make washing easier. Although it is smaller and doesn't dangle over the edge of the sleeping pad, this cushion is soft and big enough to provide you extra headroom. I found it hard to believe how pricey several of the pillows were; for this price, I think it's a great deal. Don't buy this pillow if you want to spend $50 on a pillow that will leak or bottom out. However, if you want to spend less on a pillow that is well-made, just the perfect size, not too heavy, feels wonderful against your face, and keeps you warm.

These cushions are excellent! I wanted to add additional photographs expressly to demonstrate scale because I was torn between the small and medium.Although there is only a 2 ounce weight difference, the actual size difference is nearly 1.5 inches larger and longer. The tiny denim color is denser and has a somewhat stiffer feel than the larger denim color, but the thickness is almost the same in both. I'm not sure if small comes in firmer in the other colors or just in the denim. Both are quite good, but I think I'll use the tiny one more frequently. Since they're both affordable enough to have one as a backup or loaner, I'll keep both.In contrast to what others have said, I did not wash these! I only gave them a brief, 30-second fluff.I won't likely machine wash them unless it's an absolute necessity, as a few other reviewers have noted that the stitching in a few places appears a little shaky (final image). Still, if you're gentle with them, I think they'll hold up. The compression cord also needed to be retied since it was too tight to roll easily and was stretching the fabric and putting stress on the stitching. Now it looks much simpler to compress and roll.

But I am now that I have these pillows.Value: I've been trekking and camping for more than 20 years in Colorado and Missouri without ever needing a pillow, so I'm not in a rush to spend $30 to $40 on other high-quality, small pillows. I'd rather to use that cash for something else. However, after reading all the positive reviews for this version at such a low cost, I decided it would be worthwhile to splash out. It cannot be bet for what you get.Design: I'm pleased with my decision to get the "new design" version, which appears a little more ergonomic than the original. Since it just cost a dollar more, the upgrade felt reasonable. The cushion appears to be a decent size. While it is large enough to be used outside of your bag without it squirting out from under you all night, it is also small enough that you could probably push it under the hood of your bag to keep it in place. I really appreciate the sides since they support your head and prevent it from slipping off while you're in your normally slick sleeping bag. The material is comfortable to the touch and doesn't seem overly slick if you need to use the cushion with nothing between it and your skin.Durability: I'll have to update you on this after using it for a time, but I don't think it could be abused or used as a seat. I don't see any problems with this because I won't be using it for anything other than a cushion for sleeping or resting. That probably helps to save a few ounces. It has a dual valve built into it that makes it very simple to inflate or deflate. Pull the first valve (a one-way valve) out to fill, then pull both valves out to deflate. I did observe that the valve stiffens in cold weather (like most plastic). Although I'm not concerned, I was more cautious when removing the valves when they were cold to prevent breaking anything. It appears to be the ideal balance of strength and malleability. Even though it won't be something you frequently open and close, it's still important to mention. I will confess that removing the deflate valve is more difficult than I'd like, but it won't come free while you are asleep. It might loosen up once I use it more. (An image of the valve showing it closed, inflated, and deflated is attached.)There is a small stuff sack included with it. There isn't much else to say, but it is appreciated. (A banana is shown in the photo for scale.)Once I've gotten an opportunity to utilize it on my upcoming backpacking trip, I'll update this review.Update 2/27/17: I just tried this for three nights of winter camping and it worked great. The pillow kept in place between my slick mummy bag hood material and sleeping pad, and it was simple to add more air (as the air cooled, it slightly compressed) (I was worried it would squirt out all through the night).Overall, I'm still happy, although as I predicted when I first wrote the review, the release valve is difficult to open in cooler (not even frigid) conditions. I felt like I was going to rip the fabric away from the plug and destroy the pillow if I applied more pressure, so it needed a multi-tool to get the plug out (5th image). It's annoying, especially when there are simple-to-use valves available that don't have this problem. lost one star as a result.
Whether or not you need a pillow to camp depends on your personal preference. Some campers find that sleeping without a pillow is more comfortable, while others find that a pillow helps them sleep better. If you decide that you would like to bring a pillow on your camping trip, there are a few things to consider. First, you will need to choose a pillow that is comfortable and supportive. There are a variety of camping pillows available, so be sure to do your research before making a purchase. Second, you will need to decide how you will be carrying your pillow. If you are
Most people believe that they need a pillow while sleeping. However, some people can sleep without a pillow and be just fine. It really depends on the person and how they sleep. Some people may need a pillow to keep their spine aligned, while others may find it more comfortable to sleep without one. There is no right or wrong answer, it really varies from person to person.
Most people don't use a pillow with a sleeping bag, but some people prefer to have one. Sleeping with a pillow can help you feel more comfortable and can also keep your head and neck in a better position. If you do use a pillow, make sure it is a small one that can be easily compressed.
If you're camping and finding it difficult to sleep, there are a few things you can do to make it easier. First, try to find a campsite that's away from bright lights. If you're near a city, this may be difficult, but try to camp in a spot that's shielded from artificial light as much as possible. Second, avoid caffeine before bed. This includes coffee, tea, energy drinks, and even chocolate. Caffeine can make it difficult to fall asleep and stay asleep. Third, establish a bedtime routine. This can include reading, writing in
Cavemen slept without pillows because they did not have the resources to make them. They would have used whatever they could find to prop up their head, such as a rock or a piece of wood.
To clean your inflatable pillow, start by wiping it down with a damp cloth. If there are any stubborn stains, you can use a mild soap and water solution. Once you've wiped down the pillow, be sure to dry it completely before storing it away.
