Let me first tell you how great this jock/cup is before I go on to describe how I came to understand I needed one. Recently, my fiance and I both began learning Krav Maga, and as many of you are aware, Krav teaches you to groin strike just about anyone. My fiancée is meant to act out a groin strike, so we are practicing how to defend against a side choke. She dropped me after inadvertent contact (I swear, I didn't deserve it either; she wasn't trying to make it look like an accident when it wasn't). I've only worn these to one workout so far, so I'm hesitant to give them a perfect score until gauging their long-term durability. Really, I don't have any problems. I've used shorts from other well-known brands to practice No GI Jiujitsu and MMA, and these appear to be on par with the pricier options. They remain in place better than some over my compression leggings. There are no overt indications of approaching breakdown, such as frayed or loose threads. The material seems to be strong. A benefit is that they have elastic material in the crotch and inner thigh. I never felt constrained in my motion by the shorts. I'll try to offer some advice on fit since I'm constantly worried about it. I'm a 5' 9 "man, usually weighs 175–180 pounds. I obtained 33 "waist, which for me was a little bit of a gamble. Even though my waist is probably 32 inches, I usually have to go 34 inches to accommodate my thighs and butt (I don't skip leg day). At first, these were just a little bit too tight around my hips, but as soon as I started moving, they moved into position, and I never felt it again. I liked that I could choose a waist size that was more in line with my actual size so that they wouldn't be overly baggy. They do, however, feature an internal drawstring in case you do. After trying things out, I'll look over some of their other offerings.

I am a real size 28 (European) and it can be challenging to buy mma workout shorts because American sizes are frequently one or two inches too large. I have a gymnast-like frame, so purchasing clothes in my usual waist size caused my veins to pulse (but damn does it make my butt and legs look nice). When purchasing these shorts, keep in mind that the waist size is the MAXIMUM that can be worn comfortably. I purchased a 28 and a 30 to try them out. The 28 is really tight, however if you want to wear compression shorts and a cup underneath, I suggest going one size up so there is some flexibility. I bought two more size 30s and returned the size 28. Only around 2 inches separate the long short design from the short length design. Therefore, be ready for them to ride all the way down to the groin while displaying a lot of goods if you choose to wear the short length design. Although the shorts are tight and ride up your body, there is enough material to cover your "boys" so that rolling or sparring with your partner won't feel awkward. I chose to purchase the longer model since it increases mobility while being long enough to prevent it from riding too high when performing the splits or high kicks. So, take the size you normally wear at the waist in America sizes and go up one for extra flexibility in case you want to wear a cup or your weight changes. Additionally, it is excellent to have a drawstring with a low profile. Instead of being made of standard rash guard material, these are nearly twice as thick.

My initial plan was to get MMA spats (OK, they're tights) from Anthem to shield my knees from mats, pads, and people. When I heard that they had battle shorts, I placed an order for a pair right away. These are extremely lightweight, well-made, and just as nice as my more costly fight shorts (they have already endured countless hours of combat). Because they are so much lighter than my more expensive battle shorts, they have taken the place of my more frequent fight shorts. I selected these shorts based on the cost and reviews. I do nogi BJJ but was still wearing gi pants; I wanted to check out some spats and shorts to see if I like them because I'm training more frequently now and don't want to wash my clothes every night. When they first arrived, I tried them on. My regular waist size is 32, and they fit great with a little bit of squeezing to get the top velcro to line up. It might be because I'm wearing my top shorts, spats, and training undershorts, I dunno. When I first started practicing high knees, I was a little concerned that the cloth would get snagged before sliding up my thigh, but this concern was quickly allayed on the mats because I had no trouble rolling. My partners never complained about anything bothering either them or me. I loved them enough to decide to get a second pair because I use the mats at least three times each week, but when I saw that they even came in a size 33, I decided to go with that. These are a nice alternative if you're undecided and don't want to pay $60-80 only to find out you don't like training in MMA shorts!

This short is excellent, especially considering the cost. I've tried Venum and Jaco, two additional kinds of "Vale Tudo" shorts. Even though I got a 3XL for the Venum, it was so small (and didn't stretch much) that I couldn't even fit into it. The Jaco was extremely excellent, but it cost a lot of money. I got both an XL (36-37) and a 2XL (38-39) because of this Meister's fantastic pricing, and both fit quite well. It feels wonderful. The larger one has a wonderful, "easy" fit that is snug without being uncomfortable. The XL fits snugly but comfortably, especially in the way it supports. The smaller one (XL) also gives my box a pleasant, if slight, "display" (just the bulge shows, with the two layers of good weight material, there is no way this short is see thru).. Although the larger (2XL) is less noticeable in the "packaging display," it still offers strong support. Wearing the smallest of the two is my preference.Despite being short, the legs are long enough to avoid appearing "too short." Just little longer than the Jaco, they (which I feel looks a bit too short to feel really comfortable wearing it in public). This Meister's legs are roughly the length of a jockey's "Midway," not quite as long as a "cycle," but close. Added 2017: —- Jaco has started producing a lengthier version of their Vale Tudo, and it is longer than this Meister, as I have noticed. A comment regarding the shorter Jaco version claimed that it was so brief as to make some people feel a little uneasy, which is why a longer version was introduced. That is precisely what had happened to me when I didn't want to wear the Jaco short in public.This Meister performs incredibly well as a swimsuit, gym short, or training short because it is made entirely of two layers of high-quality material with a drawstring waist (as its intended purpose). It works nicely as a boxer-brief undershort and is perfect for casual use around the house and yard. It feels much better than it appears.

Although it has two additional straps to keep the cup in place, the waist strap on my back can and often does go down a little. There is an elastic looped tie string that can be tightened, but I'm not sure how to use it. and haven't actually tried to use it. Regarding earlier remarks, the workmanship might need to be improved. It was made with some good materials, I'll admit that. Despite the larger cup size, you might be able to wear another brand of supporters. Removing the cup while wearing it seems to be a little challenging, and after repeated washing and wearing, it may eventually tear. So, that might be one cause of the stitching issue.

wonderful rash guard. I was seeking for a good rash guard to use when I practice BJJ without a gi. I resisted forking over $60. Unlike some of the less expensive rash guards available, this one fit flawlessly, the edges haven't torn, and it survived the washer and dryer test unharmed. kept me from becoming hot throughout my workout and prevented mat burn.
