During my rehabilitation, I was considering obtaining a hospital tray when I unintentionally placed this order. I clicked buy it now rather than saving it for later when I was looking at this tray since I had surgery that required recovery and six weeks of bed rest. (An error that ended up being advantageous.)It was simple to assemble, and cleanup was quick (as other reviewers stated). Although I wasn't sure what I would use with it once I recovered, I am certain that I will use it for my laptop because it is so sturdy. I've already attached a pop-phone holder to the metal bar so I can easily see the time and have access to my phone when I need it without it being on the table.The description height is smaller than it should be, I will admit. It fits easily and with plenty to spare on my large bedspread. After I discovered I had bought it, we measured the height, and it appeared that it would not fit. This is due to the fact that our queen-size bed is taller than 42 inches. It was more than high enough after assembly. If we had noticed that, we would not have bought it.We live in a little cape cod, so it does take up a little more space than I would prefer, but it made life much simpler when I was recovering. Due to the smoothness of the wheels, it is simple to slide it away from me at night and toward me when I require something that I've stowed on it. The top holds a lot: my iPad, college books, plates, and tissue box all fit with ease and enough of room, and the hospital water pitcher fits well into the oval tray slot. While I was browsing the internet, I once had two text books, food, water, remotes, a box of tissues, remote controls, a cup, and cough drops on the tray with room for my iPad. The tray is quite sturdy. I always lean on it and haven't noticed any sagging.If you frequently use a bed tray or need to recover from surgery, I strongly advise buying this tray.

I had read all the other posts on this item before receiving it, so I was prepared, but the writing that had been done about it didn't really explain it. I'll do my best to be entirely transparent in my review and will address any queries you might have.The 15x30 table top has a slight lip all the way around that is made by the trim on the side of the table. It won't get in the way, chip, or crack because the lip is only about 1/16 of an inch thick, but it's enough to prevent something from sliding off. There is no tilting.The lever system for raising or lowering is quite attractive and effective.Although it isn't very huge, you must keep in mind that it is reasonably durable against wobbling. The room is about enough to accommodate a laptop, mouse, pad, and beverage. Due to its size, it will shake when you hit it, causing a drink without a top to slosh.Six screws and two bolts were used, and one screw was removed and replaced with a shorter screw in less than five minutes. This is the section that receives the most attention. In the same way that other directions kind of show you how it all comes together before starting with the directions, the assembly diagram in the directions shows you installing the 6 screws and 2 bolts. In this instance, however, because it is so straightforward, the diagram serves as your instructions, so when it says STEP ONE, you are actually on step 3. You must assemble the item according to the diagram (using 6 screws and 2 bolts with washers) PRIOR to moving on to step 1, which entails removing the retaining screw and then inserting a short screw to allow the stand to raise and lower.Since the base is not symmetrical and off-center, you can really bring it up near to something you are sitting so that it can't go under, but it still functions from either side of the bed.With that stated, let's get to the bad stuff and explain why I only awarded it four instead of five stars. The corner of the 15x30 table has a plate that is roughly 4x6 inches in size that connects the table to the stand. Even though it is laminated, the table is made of press board, and the screws are about 1/3 inch long. This item cannot possibly support 25 pounds for very long.This is a beautiful table and just what I wanted if you want a laptop table where you can have a drink with a top on the drink. This is not the table to use if you plan to place a TV or bulky monitor on it. If only they had added a few more screws to the connection plate and cost a few extra dollars, this table would have received five stars.I hope this is helpful. I am extremely delighted with this table because I wanted to use it while lying in bed and couldn't find a better one for the price.

I bought this table for a family member who will spend a few weeks in bed due to a medical ailment. First of all, you are crazy if you think this money would get you a hospital-grade over-the-bed table. However, this table does work well and is robust enough for snacks or a meal. While I wouldn't advise placing anything too heavy on it, it is fairly stable. The first table I bought was a Drive Overbed Table. Drive makes a ton of medical equipment, but the issue with that table, which is fixed with this table, is that the height adjuster is spring-loaded on a shock absorber mechanism and it is very touchy and won't lock in place. That table does not have a locking option. However, you do have a fixed table that won't jump up and force someone in a bed to pour hot coffee on them just because their leg accidentally touched the bottom of the table. Yes, drive tables are that delicate. This table is manual, so you don't get the ease of up and down with assistance.It tilts nicely as well, though I doubt we'll use that feature. It would work great for a tablet or a laptop. Moreover, it features a tiny lip that could capture it but is not particularly large.I like this table, so. Although it could be a little bit longer and beefier, overall it is worth the price I paid and will be very useful for the coming weeks. It would be challenging to function without one. The fact that I feel at ease using it to serve food or snacks is all that counts.For a good table, the price is reasonable.

Due to my broken ankle and leg, I must work from home. I adore my desk, however the flooring and height of my bed made it difficult. I have a queen-sized bed. I required some additional height, as well as simpler wheel movement. I bought this table to put by my hospital bed because I am crippled and deteriorating slowly. Right now, I only really need it for that. However, I am aware that as time passes, I will rely on this table far more. Even though it was a touch heavy, the table's bulkiness made it quite simple for me to put together while sitting in my lift chair and using the floor to prop the pieces up as I went. If not, I would not have been able to assemble. My back has progressive nerve damage, my hands are shaky and feeble, I have diabetes, a lot of osteoarthritis, and progressive brain loss. I just got my table a little over three weeks ago, and while I love how robust it is, there are a few issues that the maker should definitely fix.The tools required made setup a little challenging, but I managed to finish in about 30 minutes. I didn't put the casters on the bottom since I use it for my laptop when I'm on my chaise lounge, which is on carpet. I can now easily swing the table outward to stand up thanks to this. The table is sturdy and well-balanced, and it has no stability problems, which is, in my opinion, the most crucial quality that a table of this type should have. For this reason alone, I would suggest this table.Having stated that, let's discuss the shortcomings. The tilt side of the split table is so solid; nothing can move it from the position you set it in. However, the level side of the table can move when my cat steps on it. I am unable to tighten the screw holding it, thus I will never be able to stop it from happening. Although I frequently drink my coffee over there, this is not a major problem because the dip is only about 3/4 of an inch.It is simple to raise or lower the height, however because the table can be lifted without being held level, it is very simple to accidently bump the table and raise it. This can be really irritating at times.

The wheels were already mounted when it arrived!! About 8 screws needed to be attached. The instructions were straightforward and simple to understand. A suitable size wrench or a set of adjustable pliers would be required. The table is highly practical and strong. The base is not only heavy enough to prevent easy tipping but also light enough to be moved around. It assumed it would be unsightly and require storage because it was purchased for a specific reason. I'm pleasantly delighted to find that it complements my sparsely furnished, neutral-colored living space perfectly, allowing me to leave it out and use it for several useful functions.
