This is the material you need if you're fixing an antique turntable lid because Testors model glue will melt acrylic, which you don't want. Superglue (isocyanite) will haze the product, won't fuse it together, and lacks the torque strength required to provide a long-lasting repair.One reasonable caution: The fumes from this are dangerous and carcinogenic; use a mask and/or only work in a well-ventilated environment.A few pointers: Purchase a cheap plastic kids' medicine syringe from the drugstore to fill the applicator. The trick is to only fill the applicator 1/4 full, which is enough to weld an entire 20-gallon aquarium, hold the bottle with the needle pointing up, squeeze half of the air out of the bottle, then allow air to seep back in as you turn it over and carefully squeeze to fill the crack or joint. Finally, if you get the slightest drop of this on your acrylic, it will haze it. I can't recommend searching for The King Of DIY channel on YouTube and viewing his acrylic tank welding videos enough if you need advice on how to fix cracks and weld with this product. He provides you with all the information you require to use this product!Only acrylic will bond with this product. Amazing stuff - history Due to my disability, I no longer walk straight. My shoes' bottoms start to separate from their soles as a result of this. I can wear out a pair of tennis shoes in 4 to 6 weeks before the bottom tread begins to wear away. I became frustrated with having to purchase a new pair of tennis shoes every two months. I buy some of this glue, and WOW - if you use it as directed, it truly works. The soles still haven't come off after three weeks. Now I'm hoping the can holds up and doesn't dry up. They could only make this better by putting it in a smaller can.UPDATE 8-12-19 —- Still think this is fantastic material —- the adhesive lasts approximately 3 months before my soles start to separate once more —- just clean and reapply and I'm good to go

UPDATE: This does not affect my ranking; I simply wanted to mention that I used around two-thirds of the tube—or 60 linear inches—for my needs. Additionally, I evidently did not utilize enough. After a week or so, one corner starts to come loose. It was difficult to move the remaining product away from the opening to get to the good material because it had hardened after being opened. However, I was able to reattach the corner, so I wanted to warn you not to use this material too sparingly—especially in the corners!This material performed amazingly well. Coming out of the tube and getting older, as others have mentioned, are not issues. Following the directions, I used it to replace the gasket on my ten-year-old Lopi Revere insert, and it was a fairly simple task. Very content.

If you own Converse sneakers, this is a must-have item... Despite previous and present concerns with product quality, the Converse brand is making a comeback, as you may have seen if you have teenagers (as well as a bankruptcy a few years back). Your Converse will eventually become unglued, if they haven't already, and this glue will help you put them back together again. The sole can be efficiently, if not permanently, glued back into place using this adhesive. I strongly advise using protective eyewear and rubber gloves. Likewise, stay clear of open flames. My teenage daughter's Converse is holding up so far after I repaired it with adhesive. The resurgence of the Converse brand has not at all thrilled me, but this glue has. Until my adolescent daughter gets a job and learns the worth of a dollar, I will continue to glue her Converse back together. I just can't get her to believe that only gullible teens buy these junkie sneakers.

Well, this adhesive is incredible.I consequently had a shaving brush disintegrate on me. The brush was attached to the handle with some shoddy adhesive. I needed something sturdy to hold it all together as I shave in the shower.I adhered the components together as instructed by applying glue to the bottom of the brush and the interior of the handle, waiting two minutes, and then doing so.The adhesive has held up well after multiple hot baths and shavings, showing no indications of giving out. It is absolutely great that even a tiny amount of the glue that spilled over surrounding the joint has remained clear and undiscolored.I have tried using this glue on a faux drawer I had in a cabinet. After adhering both sides and letting it set for about 12 hours, I believed it wouldn't be strong enough to hold it. However, when I pushed the face into the cabinet in the correct position, the adhesive miraculously held the object in place despite having had time to dry. Fantastic adhesive, awesome material! I only wish it came in a slightly smaller container because this tube is definitely too big for me to ever utilize in its entirety—like it's a lifetime supply.

Let me begin by stating that I have never dealt with any type of mortar and that is how I arrived at my ranking. I rate this application a 4 out of 5 for my application. There was a risk that embers could be pulled up into the fireplace's framing and set the chimney on fire, so I purchased this after conducting extensive research to find a solution that would seal up the gaps between my fireplace facade and the firebox. Additionally, the drywall may be seen. I had two vertical side gaps along the height of the firebox, measuring about 1.25" x 2" x 24. I also had a bottom strip opening that was roughly.125"–.25" x 30". It's considerably simpler to work with mortar when applying it to a ground surface, but it can be more difficult to patch or fill a hole in a vertical surface. Be sure to add water gradually and do the ball test as directed on the box's outside instructions. It's simple to overwet the mortar. *** Make sure the mortar has a good and tough consistency if you're aiming for a vertical application and utilizing thicker layers. If the mortar starts sliding out, it's too moist. There is undoubtedly a sweet spot where applying this mortar to vertical surfaces is simpler. To retain vertical gaps that you are trying to fill, I advise utilizing bracing, wood, or strong tape. Drying turns the tint into a very faint gray. If you're working indoors, I also advise wearing gloves, a face mask, goggles, gloves, and a drop cloth.Despite having filled the bottom gap, it is still damp in photo 1. 2 and 3. Dried vertical sides that also partially display the bottom. You can notice how much better the work was done on the horizontal sides than the bottom. If I had to do it over, I would have waited to apply portion of the mortar mixture since it was too thin, and I would have set up some sort of bracing to hold it in place. However, if you can discover the "sweet spot," braces are not necessary.

I was hesitant to attempt this glue after reading the 50% bad reviews and the reasons why they were so negative, but I made up my mind to try it nonetheless based on the reputation of the Elmer's brand. happy I did. However, the instructions also specify that both surfaces must be dry and free of oil, soap, wax, paint, varnish, previously used cement, and any other residue. They also specify that the repaired joint won't be fully cured for 3 to 7 days. The material has the consistency of skim milk, and the label instructions state to press the components together for between 15 and 60 seconds.I fixed a pricey coffee mug with a broken handle and a dropped porcelain candle dish. I applied the milky adhesive, made sure the joining surfaces were spotless, then strapped both patients into separate "grip wrench" straps to hold them firmly together. I then left them alone for a few days. They were mended, and now their joints hardly even show. The ceramic candle bowl had a few "voids" where minute pieces that were never found were missing; I filled these spaces with more China
