Polyurethane air hoses have a number of advantages over traditional rubber air hoses. They are more flexible, which makes them less likely to kink or become tangled. They are also more durable and resistance to abrasion and weathering. Polyurethane air hoses are also lighter in weight than rubber hoses, which makes them easier to handle.
Yes, a pancake compressor can run air tools. It is a small, portable air compressor that is easy to carry around and use.
If you have two air hoses of the same diameter, you can connect them together using a hose connector. Hose connectors are usually made of brass or plastic and have a barbed end that inserts into the hose. To secure the connection, you can use a hose clamp or a zip tie.
Yes, you lose air pressure with a longer hose. The reason is because the air has to travel a longer distance, so it slows down and doesn't have as much force.

The hose is good overall, however I would tweak one thing. The height of the wrench flats on each end is roughly half what you would ordinarily find (see pictures). Most of the time, this is OK, but when I used this hose to replace one that was on a reel, the wrench would obstruct the swivel connection. Therefore, installing this hose would be simpler with a thin 14mm.The hose should also be blown out numerous times until it blows clean, which is another important consideration (this should be done with any new hose). I connected one end, left the coupler off the other end, and blew air through it until it was completely clean (I would blow it against my hand and feel the particles coming out, do this at your own risk).. My little air tank required a good dozen or more blowdowns before it started blowing cleanly. The coupler should then be attached, and you are ready to go.

Second UpdateAlthough I don't use this frequently, I do occasionally. Even though I first purchased this hose in December 2015, it still appears to be brand-new and functions flawlessly as of April 2017. No issues so yet. When in use, it is still subjected to pressures that can reach as high as 130 psi.Update:..In the past seven or more months, I've used it a lot, and thus far, it's been excellent. I've used it at pressures up to 120 to 130 PSI as well, and so far, I haven't encountered any issues with it breaking, kinking, cracking, or doing anything else. It has so far performed admirably. Beats my old HF one by a wide margin. Therefore, as of right now, I have no issues.—————————————————————Original assessmentI purchased this hose to replace one that I had previously purchased from HF (as I urgently needed a new hose and they were the only option at the time). That hose lasted for less than a year before the rubber dried up to the point where it cracked and burst a side hole. Regarding this one, it appears to be much better constructed, feels lot sturdier, is made of better materials, and the ends are firmly clamped on. This hose has the appearance and feel of a well-made, premium product. Before I even used it, I was able to infer all of that. I've used it so far, and it's held up really well. Overall, I really have nothing negative to say. What you should look for in anything like this is well-madeness. What else needs to be said, really. I do recommend this hose because it is good quality, well-made, and durable.

I really want to give it 4.5 stars. I have their 100 foot air hose in the same material, which is longer. I utilized this hose as a lead in from my air compressor to a hose reel even though the 50-foot version felt more robust and thicker. The hose has CHEAP fittings, which is my identical complaint that I had with the 50-foot version. Many connectors only allow for 1-2 decent revolutions before requiring a wrench since the threads are cone-shaped. Because the brass is so brittle, it simply rounds off when the hose is inserted into the fittings. If they had spent a little bit more on the fittings, this hose would have received a five-star rating.

The 50' 1/4" hose is what I purchased to utilize with my portable compressor. I then used the Flexzilla replacement end fittings and cut it to 15' and 35'. Very well done. With a razor, the hose was easily cut, and the replacement ends attached neatly.I had the chance to compare the Pro fitting with the normal fitting since the replacement ends were from their Pro range. On both of them, aluminum is used for the fittings. The strain alleviation is essentially the only thing that is different, in my opinion. The standard is constructed of a firm rubber-like material, but the pro is spiraling and made of an extremely flexible plastic. The professional strain relief spiral functions miles better than the conventional strain relief. However, I believe both will perform just fine and won't cause you any issues because they both do a good job of moving the strain point away from the metal fitting. Since the spiral allows it to droop a little bit better, the pro essentially extends your air tool by a flexible 3" rather than a solid 5" like the normal does, which is what I'd probably want for daily use.I also have a 3/8" flexzilla hose reel that is six years old. The 1/4" is obviously much thinner, yet they both have the same degree of flexibility. It won't kink even if you create a very small radius. Works perfectly in every weather. The hose is fairly stretchy, though, so if you try to pull it around a wall corner, it can snag.I adore Flexzilla hoses and will never use those terrible plastic hoses ever more. These, in contrast, are fantastic.

In 2011, FOB Frontenac sent two 100' hoses to me in Afghanistan. The entire summer was spent developing a MWR. Yellow kept wrapped up; I just utilized the blue one, which I continue to use with no problems. Yellow is still not in use.It was amazing to look up while framing in the scorching 140°F heat to see a herd of camels passing by.amazing hoses Sometimes just a nuisance to roll up (get twisty)

I came upon this when looking for a cheap, lightweight "watering" hose. Although I am aware that this is an air hose, if it can endure the pressure of air, water, and grease that a compressor blasts through them, what's a little water at 80 psi?The benefits: Cheap price of $9.99 with free shipping from Amazon. This hose is currently on sale for $8.99, which is an even better price!Pretty adaptable; attractive shade of blue. The 1/4" NPT male brass fittings appear to be firmly crimped on. Advertised - Oil and abrasion resistant reinforced PVC hose.Advertised length: 3/8" x 25'. 200 PSI working pressure was advertised. The hose I got is marked with an operating pressure of 300 PSI.Brass 1/4" NPT male fittings are advertised as being present at both ends, along with a one-year warranty. The drawbacks: - You are required to supply your own fittings in addition to the ones that are crimped on.Not entirely a terrible thing, however some people might prefer made in the USA. - Made in ChinaFinal thoughts: Using the appropriate connections, this inexpensive air hose can double as a lightweight watering hose.:)This air hose's reinforced PVC material and brass 1/4" NPT male fittings ensure that it won't rust. The water travelling through this lightweight water hose shouldn't be utilized as potable water because there's a good chance that the brass fitting on it contains lead.Revision: May 19, 2016 I must say that this thin water hose exceeded my expectations when I tried it today. Although there was a noticeable difference in weight, the water flow seemed to be the same as when I was using a regular 1/2" garden hose.:) Currently, a 50' lightweight watering hose is being planned. The two brass fittings' costs, which have doubled, are the bottleneck.Revision: June 23, 2016 Using a 50' hose this time, I've just created another "lightweight" watering hose. I've been waiting for the price of the 1/4" NPT female to 3/4" GHT (garden hose thread), which I previously manufactured with a 25' hose, to come down to a fair level. They did, and now my backyard raised bed garden has a 50' "lightweight" watering hose!â–ª Although the water flow is a little decreased, it is not a problem for me to use. Both the less weight and the greater agility of the hose are VERY apparent.Updated on June 8th, 2018 I made the decision to purchase a second 25-foot hose, this time for use as a water hose. This hose was a little bit different from the others I had previously purchased. It is a lot softer and more flexible. And this one was $7.99 with free shipping from Amazon! My finalized light-weight watering hose is depicted in the photos below. I fitted quick connect hose connectors and used two 1/4" NPT female to 3/4" GHT (garden hose thread) male brass fittings. The brass is covered with the black heat shrink tubing, which also adds a little bit more strain relief between the hose and the fitting while improving aesthetics.

Durable: Polyurethane material provides extreme flexibility without the hassle of twisting and kinking during use, or when stored. Polyurethane’s beneficial elasticity also allows the spiral air hose to return to resting form, even after continued use. Additionally, polyurethane material is extremely oil resistant.
Light Weight: polyurethane air hose is considered an “all-around†option. It weighs less than comparable hybrid and PVC options, which is a factor you’ll appreciate after you’ve dragged it around a job site all day.
All Weather Use: If you’ll be working outside, on the move and in the elements, polyurethane hoses will make your job a lot easier, polyurethane material stays flexible even in subzero weather conditions, work temperature range of -20℃ to +60℃.
Brass Swivel Air Fittings: Accepts all types of 1/4 inch FNPT quick change and quick release air fittings, clear threads provide a tight, corrosion-resistant fit to help prevent drops in air pressure, bend restrictors in the hose itself prevent kinking and reduce the amount of wear and tear caused from over-flexing.
Air Hose Standard: 1/4 inch inner diameter is more suited to less powerful tasks, like inflating a tire or clean your garage; 25 feet length is more suitable when work in a small space when a longer length of air hose would simply air hose would hamper your ability to do a job. 120PSI Max working pressure, 450PSI brusting pressure.

I bought this for my brand-new 20-gallon air compressor and afterwards bought a "starting pack" from a nearby store that contained roughly 20 items, among them a yellow hose. I started to regret getting this blue hose because it was more expensive than the entire set, but only until I gave them both a critical inspection. This blue one is SO much more flexible, and it is built much better. With this blue one here, I doubt I'll ever ever utilise the yellow piece of crap. I would without a doubt suggest it to anyone searching for a nice hose for their air compressor.

Amazing flexible hose that is also quite durable. I work in roofing and am notorious for being rough on hoses, but this one still looks brand new after several months of heavy use during the summer in both the heat and the cold. You won't have to struggle with the hose at the end of the day when you're just ready to go home because it is incredibly flexible and simple to wrap up. I always use this hose now. If I had five of these hoses, that would be the only improvement. The top Amazon buy to date.

Whether you are using an air hose for your air compressor or other tools, the length of the hose can be important. If the hose is too long, it can be difficult to maneuver and may get in the way. If the hose is too short, you may not be able to reach your work area. The best length for an air hose depends on your needs and the work you will be doing.
A 3/8 air hose can flow up to 80 CFM.
90 degree elbows are one of the most common types of pipe fittings used in residential and commercial construction. They are also often used in HVAC and plumbing applications. While 90 degree elbows are very useful, they can also affect air flow. In general, the more 90 degree elbows that are used in a piping system, the more air flow will be restricted. This is because each elbow creates a small amount of turbulence which can slow down the overall air flow. Additionally, 90 degree elbows can also cause pressure drop, which can further reduce air flow.
When it comes to psi and hose length, there is no definitive answer. In general, the further the hose is from the psi source, the more pressure is lost. This is due to a number of factors, including hose diameter and the type of material the hose is made from. In addition, the pressure at which the water is flowing through the hose also plays a role.
There is no definitive answer to this question as it depends on the specific application and needs of the user. However, in general, rubber air hoses are more affordable and have a longer lifespan than polyurethane air hoses. Polyurethane air hoses are more flexible and resistant to kinks and punctures, but they are also more expensive. Ultimately, the best option for you will depend on your specific needs and budget.
A good air hose is one that is durable, has a good seal, and is able to withstand high pressure.
