An 1990 Toyota truck's audio system was being upgraded. There aren't many locations to install the rear speakers because it's a conventional cab. I discovered that these speakers could be mounted to the rear wall of the cab, facing up, close to the floor. The speakers were mounted in ten minutes with the help of a few self-tapping screws.They're expertly built. The purpose of many things is not entirely clear from the instructions.even for 4-inch speakers, plenty of power.

Since I was content with the mids and highs and desired balanced sound front and back, I decided to purchase a second pair for my rear deck after realizing that I wouldn't be happy unless I supplemented them with a subwoofer.It appears that the absence of any discernible bass is due to the fact that my original set of speakers were installed in the front doors of the car, and even with the addition of depth adapters, there isn't enough room for them to move enough air for their lower frequency capabilities. This became evident once I mounted my second set on the back deck of the car. The rear pair's overall sound quality is excellent, and they have significantly better bass response (within their range capabilities of 50h-20kHz).The urgent need for a subwoofer has subsided, but I'll still add one.Note regarding installation: I did this in a 1993 Subaru Impreza (IKR?). The design and weight of the baskets used in their production necessitated adapters for both front and rear installation. Going with a speaker made for OEM replacement will probably be less troublesome for you.

The speaker's components are all solidly constructed, and each speaker comes with a long speaker cord. Although the main driver is capable of producing the greatest sound possible, the architecture of these speakers prevents it from doing so. This is a result of the design, not a manufacturing flaw. This problem is predicted in any 2-way or 3-way speaker where the additional speaker parts are positioned in front of the main driver, but it is still important to note for those who are not anticipating it. Once again, the design simply falls short in terms of durability. The additional parts being kept in front of the main driver creates a weak point that is vulnerable to breaking if handled incorrectly or accidentally struck.Overall, this is a terrific purchase with amazing sound quality if you are conscious of the slight flaws in the speaker design. This set is difficult to top for a 3-way speaker on a factory radio and will be a fantastic addition for the majority of folks. The specifications state that these speakers should function just as well with any aftermarket head unit (stereo) using its own internal amplification, yet I am unable to test this with my application. Highly suggested.

After extensive study, I decided to purchase these. I constantly have my truck stereo playing outside or around bonfires. Get in the truck with the doors open or the windows down if there are bonfires or when it's just smoky outside with bugs. So I bought these marine-grade speakers and installed them on a 2" aluminum bar under my toolbox. A pioneer 480 watt 4 channel amp is driving them. THEY ARE AWESOME! I'm content to the hilt. In order to turn them off while I'm not using them, I soldered a switch to the remote line. They are quite noisy. Definitely recommend these to everyone!

These were ideal because I wanted something I could throw away in my old vehicle. Although I had to use my imagination to attach them, they have performed flawlessly ever since. Even with the Jeep's top off, I can hear my radio. What can you expect at this price, though? They don't provide particularly good sound. Just loud enough to be heard above traffic noise will do. It is a huge plus that they are waterproof. When the top is off the jeep, I occasionally get a little rain and I don't have to worry about them getting a little wet. They are delicate, so take care while putting them in (I shattered one and had to break it apart and put it back together) and make sure they are in a secure location. That should work just fine.
