I need to power two different studio monitors, an audio interface, a computer, and a video monitor at my home studio/office because I'm a Full Sail University student studying audio production. I can use this one outdated electrical outlet. I recently updated from a dated, subpar power strip. I used to worry all the time about my equipment, but no longer! The Pyle PS1000 is built with a reliable, long-lasting design. You can promptly turn off the power supply if something is amiss because the display shows the voltage and temperature of it. Although I haven't had any issues, it's wise to be cautious. I found that it fits well in an equipment rack, which was a major benefit. It contains 8 outlets that can be individually switched off when not in use, one front outlet that is always on (and therefore always useful), and two front USB ports, one of which I've been using to charge my phone. You can make sure that all of your equipment turns on and off in the proper sequence thanks to the power sequencer. It doesn't heat up and makes hardly any noise. You only need to flip a switch to get everything set to go! I'm quite happy that I bought it because it's the only product of this quality that I've seen that is reasonably priced. The Pyle PS1000 has grown to be an essential component of my setup.

I'm filtering line-voltage for certain electronics diagnostics tools, such as an oscilloscope, a function generator, a bench VOM, and a frequency counter, using the Furman AC-215A. Ironically, these are the same tools that may be used to test the AC-215A's performance, and I don't see any problems with the signals it passes through. One excellent feature is that it will turn off if there is a sustained overvoltage of more than 135 volts. Surge protection won't be sufficient in this case.Since the AC-215A is made in China, it is most likely the least priced of the available trustworthy devices. I'll mention three more names, though, because you've made it this far: Zero Surge, Brick Wall, and SurgeX. I personally don't know of any other manufacturers that produce anything that I would utilize, regardless of price, except from a few industrial providers.Furman does employ MOVs to provide a controlled discharge of a portion of a spike or surge over a circuit in addition to series suppression; however, beware of hype regarding non-MOV techniques. There are essentially only two options in an electrical circuit to release the energy from an over-voltage, regardless of the technique. The reliability with which energy is consistently absorbed and subsequently released in a controlled manner without self-destructing determines how successful a surge-protector is. This item is ranked higher in that regard than some on my own list that cost twice as much.Due to its two outlets and 10-Amp total maximum current rating, the AC-215A has some limitations that should be taken into account. As a result, you shouldn't count on it to safeguard a space heater. Furthermore, only a strong homeowner's insurance plan will offer protection from a direct lightning strike.
