(The manager of the supermarket where I discovered one dusty bottle informed me that nobody knew what to do with it. It tasted old and like paint thinner!Anyway, this is exactly how I remember it and IS THE REAL DEAL. Instead of the "pour bottle" I'd received with my infamous first find, it came in the opaque red plastic bottle (as shown elsewhere) and shakes out appropriately small quantities at a time.The next time, I'll probably order more than one because I keep discovering new foods to pair it with. Additionally, I'm attempting to reduce or stop using ketchup since it has largely turned into thickened, colored sugar (high fructose corn syrup = SUGAR). Doubts? Go through the ketchup label. (Dentists are even denouncing children's use of it without restraint.)Enough tangents: Sarson's Malt Vinegar is 1) real, 2) a little expensive per ounce by mail, but 3) it's now our tasty, healthier option for "perking up" many foods we used to slather ketchup or tartar sauce all over, and I believe we're better for it!
