A lot of people ask if cheap rangefinders are worth it and the answer is YES! Cheap rangefinders can be just as good as the more expensive ones on the market. The key is to find a reputable brand that offers quality products. There are a lot of great options out there, so do your research before making a purchase. You won’t regret it!
Laser rangefinders are becoming increasingly popular as a more accurate alternative to GPS devices. While GPS is convenient and typically more affordable, laser rangefinders offer a number of advantages, particularly for those who are serious about their game. Laser rangefinders use laser beams to calculate the distance to a target, while GPS devices rely on satellite signals. This means that laser rangefinders are unaffected by factors that can interfere with GPS signals, such as trees or buildings. Laser rangefinders are also much more accurate than GPS devices, with most models boasting an
If you’re an avid hunter or marksman, you know the importance of being accurate with your shots. A laser rangefinder can help you take the guesswork out of calculating distances, so you can shoot with confidence knowing that you have the right information to make a precise shot.

I looked all over the internet for reviews of the Vortex Ranger 1500 rangefinder, but I couldn't locate any. Although I was a little hesitant to buy it, the ranger 1000's positive ratings, excellent product guarantee, and far lower pricing than competing items convinced me to take a chance. I'm pleased I did.I haven't gotten an opportunity to take it hunting yet, but as soon as the brown truck delivered my Amazon delivery, I started ranging everything I could see around my house. The sun was directly behind a herd of cows, around 35 degrees off the horizon, and it was a really brilliant day. I could range the farthest cow at 641 yards, and it was a black cow. I repeatedly ranged it with the same distance reading. When ranging the cow, the device gave a reading about three to four times out of five. Under the same circumstances, I was able to range a red barn at 1161 yards using my deck rail as a rest. I couldn't keep it stable enough to receive a return without the rest.I was able to acquire readings on the ground out to 450 yards in the field of sparsely grazed grass in front of my house.I pulled it out once more as soon as the sun began to set behind the mountains. This time, the herd of cows had come closer, allowing me to continually take readings on the cow that was the furthest away, at a distance of 475 yards, without pausing. I was pleasantly surprised because I wasn't expecting to get a return and I wasn't exactly stable. Additionally, I was successful in getting a 1230 yard return on a white building. I employed a pretty consistent rest for this reading. The Ranger 1500's size caught me off guard. My hand can fit it in its entirety. It weighs 7.7 ounces, which is far less than all the same things I considered buying. The small weight is a significant bonus for me because I have to walk far distances while hunting with a hefty pack.I hadn't given the optics much thought, but if you have, you'll be pleased with what you see when you gaze through the Ranger. They're quite explicit.I'll update this evaluation when I use the Ranger 1500 in various environments, such as snow and overcast skies. When I get the chance to range smaller creatures like deer and coyotes, I'll also provide an update. Normally I would have waited to write this review until I had more experience with the range finder, but because there aren't any reviews yet, I'm going to share my early thoughts to aid those who are thinking about buying this product.I rate the Ranger 1500 highly based on the minimal use I have given it. The majority of my expectations are met, and the rest are exceeded. The Ranger 1500 is the best vehicle available for the money, and it comes with a lifetime warranty that is unconditional.NEWS 2/6/16Here is what I discovered after having more experience with the Ranger 1500: I was able to range a buck at 561 yards in a snow-covered field with the sun nearly overhead and a very thin overcast layer. I was only able to get a reading about 40% of the time I tried since I needed a perfectly solid rest and the deer to be facing me directly. On a clear morning, I have ranged black lava rocks at 550 yards just before daybreak. In the same early-morning conditions, sagebrush on snow-covered plains can be seen from a distance of just over 500 yards. At noon, under the clear skies, I was able to range my 80-pound German Shepherd at 350 yards in the snow. I'm not sure how much more I could have read him because at that point he returned to the house. Despite numerous attempts, I have never been able to range cows beyond 660 yards. I was able to range a lone juniper tree at 1060 yards after a good rest. The lack of dense greenery caught me off guard. The negative now. My Ranger 1500 has occasionally had trouble turning on. The issue first surfaced twice while the unit was mounted to the dash of my truck and the defrost was turned on. It didn't feel hot, just warm. I frequently received low battery warnings when hunting in mid-twenties weather, and the device refused to provide a distance reading. Before I left home, the lithium battery I was using was bouncing between a full three bars and two bars on the unit's power meter. I'm returning it to receive a new, functional item because there is plainly a problem. The second problem I have is that I really doubt I will be able to range a deer at 750 yards as the manufacturer claims, based on my experience with ranging fully matured cows. Overall, it is still a very decent device for the money, however I am downgrading it from 5 stars to 4. I believe the Ranger 1500 will meet your needs if you are happy with range deer-sized creatures at 500 yards. It seems, in my experience, that the Vortex Ranger 1500 may struggle if you want to range them beyond 500 yards.Current: 10/9/18 I made the decision to switch from a Leica 2000-B to a Vortex Ranger 1500. It accomplishes tasks that the Vortex Ranger 1500 couldn't. For the long-range shooting I wanted to undertake, the Ranger 1500 simply couldn't consistently range targets far enough. The Vortex Ranger 1500 should function flawlessly if you are happy shooting at distances up to 500 yards, and with its guarantee, it is certainly a fantastic option. It simply won't do the trick if you want to rocket past that.

This is by far the best of my four laser rangefinders. In comparison to the others, it has astounding visual clarity, and it has by far the best range of any device I've ever used.I had to borrow a rangefinder for a last-minute archery hunt two months prior to buying this. On Amazon, I chose the least expensive item that had favorable reviews. Although it only delivered out to 200 yards, the device claimed to have a 600–800 yard range. Then a muzzleloader hunt followed, where 200 yards was not acceptable but 600 yards was. This time, for a slight premium, I received at least a 6-fold increase in range, significantly improved optical clarity, and a reduced weight. You'll be surprised at how helpful it is to range items far beyond your shooting range if you hunt. Mr. Elk entered a hollow that was between two ridges, how far to each? On my chart, there are ten hills; which one is Mr. Deer standing on, though? I was unable to respond to these inquiries in the past. I can now.

Overall, it's a high-quality device that I wholeheartedly endorse for all of its purposes, including hunting, gold mining, and other uses.

I ended up purchasing it after watching one of the YouTube videos about it. Some YT reviews put entirely too much pressure on the product, which is why it performs poorly in low light or fog. Binoculars and cameras, ahem, do not do particularly well in such circumstances.1) There is a clear view. With two hands, you can easily change the diopter, and you don't have to do it again. This is a fantastic tool for keeping an eye on your kids at the beach, even if you don't utilize the distance capability for shooting. It is being used by me to shoot a gun. When I say that the lenses' clarity is incredible, I'm not joking.2) I found complaints that the numbers were black. These are black if you have a mil dot system. Once more, I believe some of the criticisms were unnecessarily particular. With an additional $1,000, you might receive the same black numbers. I simply shift the lens to a well-lit region.3) It was *disappointing* that switching between angle distance for a bow hunter (as I assume) and real distance was not as simple. What the ANG is telling me beyond some form of angled measured on a horizontal view is still not entirely clear to me. I suppose the hypotenuse is the DIST or first if looking down at an angle.4) When I purchased it, I believed that it would simultaneously display the horizontal and true distances. Nope.4) As usual, the manual—if you want to call it that—is the one significant drawback. Nikon created a fantastic product but provided a subpar manual. If somebody could be more specific about what the ANG distance and the DIST actual distance are, that would be great. Additionally, it appears that one may determine the precise angle toward the target using a calculator. It serves my needs perfectly, and I am delighted with it. Practice makes perfect with this instrument, just like with any other instrument. This will be very beneficial for pre-judging distances for target shooting or hunting.

Purchased this to replace an earlier, bulkier range finder that still functions but required wire repairs and challenging battery changes. The continuous ranging feature on the Prowild is nice, and it's also small and precise. One problem I experienced was that the battery worked perfectly when I first placed it, but once it timed out and shut off, it wouldn't turn back on till I removed the battery cover and put it back on. After that, it worked until it timed out again, and so on. I discovered that the brass connection on the cap was enough corroded to not make proper contact with the battery's positive end. The brass contact on the cap is now immaculate after I carefully scraped it.

Golfing with pals over the weekend using it. Best option by far for my golf! Many players will find two units with yards to meters to be quite useful, and I can switch them as I see fit. It will automatically turn off after 10 seconds of inactivity, which is a great feature for energy conservation. It provides the measure number in a snap. Excellent was all I could say. adore itWe all agree that AOFAR is both great quality and reasonably priced after one of my friends displays their rangefinder as being more expensive than mine. My club mates are prepared to purchase it on Prime Day! What a noble and sage decision! They are eagerly anticipating it.

The rangefinder is really smaller than I anticipated, and it came with a cute little case that nicely fits in the side pocket of my golf bag. The readings were quick and exact in flag locking mode. The slope switch technique is also something I enjoy because it gave my usual conjecture some scientific support. When the flagpole is higher than where we are standing, we must strike it harder to move closer to the hole over the same distance. This feature is uncommon in golf rangefinders, which in my opinion makes it a fantastic advancement. The lack of a stabilizing mechanism makes it a little difficult to stabilize the rangefinder, but this is a problem that affects many of these kinds of gadgets. Hopefully, new technology may one day make things easier.I have been pleasantly delighted thus far by the device's quality and accuracy. How long it endures will be the real test.So far, so good; advise.

This product is fantastic! I purchased it to give to my 16-year-old son as a Christmas present. My spouse and he both adore it. It appears to be really precise and works very well. Interesting fact: It does not require the battery that is specified here in the item description. According to the item description, I purchased a CR 2 battery. I wasn't expecting it to require a 9 volt battery. Fortunately, we already had one. Even if the clock by my bed is currently broken, we were at least able to play with the Christmas present on Christmas morning. We were able to determine that the living room's window and door were separated by 12 yards. That is accurate! It was measured by me. My kid determined that it was 236 yards from the porch to the cedar tree by our barn. According to my hubby, that sounds about right. That one won't be measured by me. Even as I write this, my two strong hunters are out measuring things and planning how they would use the range finder in their upcoming hunting expeditions. My own personal shopping list now includes a 9-volt battery so I can recharge the alarm clock next to my bed. Thank you for the excellent product and quick, effective shipping!

I bought it for golf, thus my range is far shorter than this rangefinder's 650-yard range. has a strong flag lock that rattles when it is engaged. Nice touch. It is incredibly simple to view and locate the object you wish to measure with a 6x magnification and an adjustable eyepiece. You can easily determine your distance from flagsticks, sand traps, trees, and brush. This was compared to my Garmin Approach G3 and is on par. I can now determine the true distance to the flag rather than measuring to the center of the green. This also includes a speed mode, which I don't use but is great to have as a backup alternative. Although hardly a deal-breaker, I wish this had a slop mode to improve my golf skills. This does come with a CR2 3.7v 800 mAh lithium battery and has a beautiful battery compartment and cover. I'm not sure why they didn't make this rechargeable, but for a very small fee I can buy a rechargeable CR2 battery to swap out the one that came with it.Overall, I enjoy this and it fits my golfing style. On my own course, I used this on the first day and had the greatest front nine. Was it the rangefinder, the new ball, or my play?

It's incredibly simple to use this rangefinder. It is initially set to meters, but with a few clicks of the mode button, it may be changed to yards. I bought it so that I could know how far I was shooting after just purchasing a 6.5 Creedmore. Instead of at a range, I choose to shoot at the ranch. On a recent fishing excursion, I put the range finder to the test. It immediately got the distance and seemed to be reasonably accurate.
Laser rangefinders work by bouncing a laser off of an object and measuring the time it takes for the light to return. This technique can be used day or night, but it is more accurate during the daytime when there is more light available. The laser rangefinder will still work at night, but the margin of error will be greater.
Laser rangefinders are becoming increasingly popular, but how accurate are they? Most laser rangefinders on the market today are accurate to within 1 meter. That means that if you're trying to measure the distance to a flagstick that's 100 meters away, the rangefinder will give you a reading of anywhere between 99 and 101 meters. While that might not sound very accurate, it's important to remember that rangefinders are measuring the distance to a small, reflective target. The further away the target is, the more difficult it is to get an accurate reading
Laser pointers are handheld lasers that emit a very narrow, intense beam of light. They are often used in presentations to highlight something on a screen or wall. Laser pointers come in different colors, but the most common are red and green. Most laser pointers have a range of about 100 meters. This means that the beam is visible for about 100 meters in the dark and about 50 meters in the daytime.
Laser rangefinders work by measuring the time it takes for a laser pulse to travel from the device to the target and back. Most laser rangefinders have a maximum range of around 2 miles, although some devices are capable of measuring distances up to 10 miles.
A rangefinder is a handy tool for golfers, allowing them to quickly and easily gauge the distance to the hole. But with so many different models on the market, it can be tough to know how much to spend. Here are a few factors to keep in mind when shopping for a rangefinder: Features: The more features a rangefinder has, the higher the price tag will be. But you don't necessarily need all the bells and whistles to get the job done. Consider which features are most important to you and look for a model that offers them at
There's no doubt that Eagle Eye is one of the most popular rangefinders on the market. But is it a good rangefinder? There are a few things to consider when answering this question. First, what are you using the rangefinder for? If you're looking for a rangefinder to help you with your game, then Eagle Eye is definitely a good option. It's one of the most accurate rangefinders on the market, and it's very easy to use. However, if you're looking for a rangefinder to help you with your golf game
