I paddle a kayak on the Corumba River, which runs through Astoria and connects Washington and Oregon. To prevent any leakage, I had a nearby seamstress install six velcro tabs, three on each side. Kayak Emotion Revere 10. Although it can be a bit challenging to maneuver around the kayak lip at first, this skirt was the closest I could find on the Seal skirt website. (Had to hazard a guess; this kayak's manufacture and model didn't have a skirt indicated.) Even when waves break over the 'yak on occasion, the skirt holds up beautifully these days. I've modified the footpegs so that my knees are higher up front, which automatically pushes water that drips or washes onto the skirt off of it.

I found it difficult to rationalize the expense at first. My previous neoprene skirt, from the 1980s, cost substantially less. I took a gamble because open ocean conditions make a spray skirt essential. As soon as I opened the box, I could think of a dozen things to be impressed about. Now that I've paddled for several full days in the ocean and surfed several unexpected waves, I can state the key justifications for this product.1. The fabric weight of codura is heavy gauge and won't rip.2. The bungee lining, PVC handle, and all-around stitching are of great quality.3. All seams are taped.4. Front deck stiffener with an adjustable stiffener arch on the underneath lash strap.5. Neoprene collar that can be adjusted to fit both my and your torsos.6. The shoulder straps are detachable, however they might have been bar tacked for less money.7. Front zipper with snaps: Required. Great aid in accessing the water bottle and cooling the cockpit.8. The standard of all zippers and snaps. They all could have been made less expensive.Never once have I stated, "I could have done this cheaply," while dealing with a challenging outdoor circumstance.I've often thought to myself, "Oh, am I pleased I found the best."Another one of those "best I could find" garments is this skirt. I am incredibly happy.

A lawn chair seat is on my Pelican Catch 100. It fits well between the seat and the cargo space and is simple to attach. You won't tip the kayak over while trying to undo the zipper because it isn't as tightly fitting as a Yeti's. I took it out of the box, placed it in my large freezer for about 30 minutes to cool it off, added five cans and a few ice cubes, paddled for three hours in the heat, went in and out of it a few times, but I didn't empty it when I returned home. It still included ice cubes in the morning. Although I'm not a soft-side cooler sort of guy, I dig this. It can hold 12 people with ice.

We placed an order for 2 p13 covers. It matched my perceptions of a hook angler and my wife's perception of speed precisely (otherwise the sound minus the goodies). It fits wonderfully on both of them, although it is tight on the hook. It will fit, but it is tight, to those who claim it doesn't. I'll admit that I didn't think they would fit when I first started trying to get them on the kayaks, but I assure you that they will. Hope this is useful!

That it fit so well as it does shocked me. It has effectively kept water out of the kayak and protected me from the elements. I wished it had a zipper so I could reach into the cockpit and grab anything.An implosion bar to prevent water from gathering instead of running down the skirt would be the only item needed to give it a perfect rating of 5, which may be the reason I chose a different skirt.
