Most surfers will tell you that surfboard socks are worth it. They help protect your board from the sun and from getting scratched up. They also help keep your board from slipping out from under you when you are paddling out to catch a wave.
Surfboards can be stored in a garage, but there are a few things to keep in mind. First, the temperature in a garage can fluctuate, so it's important to store the surfboard in a cool, dry place. Second, the surfboard should be stored upright to avoid warping. Third, it's a good idea to put something between the surfboard and the ground to prevent scratches. Finally, make sure the garage is well-ventilated to prevent the growth of mold or mildew.
If you have a surfboard that is yellowing, there are a few things you can do to try to unyellow it. One is to use a product like Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Another is to use a toothbrush and baking soda. You can also try using a Magic Eraser and vinegar.
While there is no scientific evidence to support the claim that yellow surfboards are more likely to attract sharks, there is anecdotal evidence from surfers who say they have had more close encounters with sharks when they were using a yellow board. Some believe that the yellow color is more visible to sharks than other colors, making the surfer an easy target. Others believe that the yellow color may resemble the color of a fish, which could make the surfer more attractive to a shark that is looking for a meal. Whatever the reason, if you are worried about attracting sharks, you may want to consider

Strong, does a good job of supporting my surfboard. Be careful though, as using the provided drywall hardware caused a massive crater to appear in my wall. I worked well using my own set of drywall screws that I purchased from the store.

Since it is very evident that it is NOT for SUPs, I will warn SUP owners before purchasing despite the fact that I know I'll probably receive a lot of negative feedback for this:If your board is 10' or less, I would only advise doing this on your own, but if you're prepared to add a little extra support, it will work for a larger SUP as well. I had originally bought the SUP version of this kit, but I didn't like how far out there it stuck, so I decided to buy these after reading a review from a SUP owner who had used them well. Weight-wise, it did support our 12-foot DuraSUPS, but there was no room for them to lean back comfortably into the wall, and even a slight tug would cause them to begin to tip forward. My simple answer was to place a strap in the middle to prevent them from tipping because I really didn't want to go back to the enormous SUP version of the mount. Works perfectly for me after this minor change.Just a word of caution to anyone with a lightweight, plastic (not epoxy), or foam SUP who is certain that it can handle the weight adequately: it will retain the weight, but it is not far enough away from the wall to support it comfortably and worry-free.The SUP version truly sticks out too much (11 inches vs. 6.5) for the typical SUP thickness, making it difficult to mount SUPs indoors without them taking up a lot of space. I advise the manufacturer offer a "middleman" size.Great quality for the money, though, and this set-up in my small apartment works well for me.My only criticism of the hardware was that it was of poor quality; when I was screwing one screw in, the head broke off, leaving the screw trapped in the wall.

These racks look excellent and are quite simple to install (just make sure you drive them into studs). With this rack arrangement, I have two short boards and a fun board hung in my stairway. My wife is thrilled that I no longer have boards laying around the home because they are a fantastic and inexpensive board storage option. Additionally, I always want to support a local San Diegan's small business. Yeewww!!!!

Since there is no surf in the desert, we didn't use it for surfboards.Instead, we used it to support our shooting equipment, including tripods and strobe modifiers. For our purposes, this works out great. Each "shelf" can hold a substantial amount of equipment, and the arms appear to be solid enough. Although the cushioning is excessive for our needs, it will preserve the surfboards in good condition. The build quality is outstanding, and the wood is both light and sturdy. There were four 3" wood screws included. Due to the excessive distance between our studs, we only used two hollow wall anchors and supplemented with additional ones.

The majority of complaints come from people who could have fixed their problems by following the straightforward directions. It's a great rack. Because of how strong the materials are, they can easily support various types of boards. And 2x4s! (not reccomended). This is a MASSIVE DEAL that the mounts are metal and not plastic. If it were made of plastic, it would be useless. The rack complements my garage's white walls beautifully and has a wonderful aesthetic appeal. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the screw heads obstruct the support arms' bases because they are bigger than the bent metal that makes up their bases. I've included images to illustrate what I'm describing. It matters because doing otherwise will force the arms that rest on top of any of these big screws to sit crooked instead of straight, which looks weird when you put it together. The performance of the rack hasn't been impacted, thus I consider it to be a small detail that I don't notice while your boards are on the rack. Otherwise, it's a fantastic rack, and I'm satisfied with it. Much superior to the available substitutes made of junk wood and inexpensive materials. Without a doubt, I recommend this rack.

I wanted to postpone writing a review until after I had these racks up for approximately a month. These racks are attractive and were put up rather easily. This mount was especially challenging because the pre-war brownstone's quirky walls prevent me from screwing into studs; instead, they are supported by hollow wall screws =/. I'd advise acquiring some good anchors if you're in the same situation as me. I used 75-pound ones from HD that screw into and out of the wall.I deducted one star because I believe the manufacturers should have made the wall-mounting bracket a little bit more sturdy for folks like myself who don't have the option of screwing into a stud. Having said that, I made the decision to take a chance and use it for my short boards after hearing of individuals mounting 4.5" thick SUPs with these racks. I have a 6'4" surftech fish that is roughly 2.5" thick and a 7'0" pin tail that is about 2 1/4" thick. The provided pins are a little snug and there isn't enough room to use them, but they have been sitting on the wall without any problems. Not enough to deduct a star, but Cor, you might consider offering some further options in addition to this cherry wood stain. I don't think it's particularly attractive. I refinished it with dark brown stain after sanding it, and they now look fantastic.Overall, these racks are good, and you can use them for two short boards.

Great results. Lightweight but quite robust. Boards are padded for safety. I added a safety strap or knot if I was in a potentially windy situation, such as an open garage. No huge deal; did this with all board racks.
If you want to protect your surfboard, you should consider getting a surfboard bag. A surfboard bag will keep your surfboard safe from the sun, wind, and water. It will also protect your surfboard from being scratched or dinged.
If you're looking to store your surfboard in a safe and convenient way, a hanging surfboard rack is a great option. Here's how to make your own: 1. Start by finding a stud in your wall using a stud finder. Then, mark the stud's location with a pencil. 2. Cut a piece of 2x4 lumber to the desired length for your rack. 3. Drill two holes into the 2x4, about 12 inches apart. 4. Run a length of rope or cord through the holes and tie the
There are a few things to consider when storing a 9ft surfboard. Firstly, make sure the board is clean and dry before storing it away. If the board is wet, it could start to grow mould and mildew which will ruin the board. Secondly, find a cool, dry place to store the board. A garage or shed is ideal. If you don't have either of these, you can store the board inside, but make sure it's not in direct sunlight. Lastly, if you're storing the board for a long period of time, consider getting a board bag to

If you don't have a garage or shed to store your surfboard in, don't despair. There are plenty of ways to keep your board indoors without damaging it. One option is to purchase a board bag.
