I don't fish, then. This helps me determine the heights I'll lift my bands to during exercises and how strong they will be at those heights. You guys probably use this gadget to weigh your fish, but I don't. For weighing goats, I use it. Goat kids, that is. immediately after birth. I collect my bucket's tare weight, fill it with the small animals, and sing to them to get them to stay still long enough for me to weigh them in pounds and ounces, though I could also weigh them in kilograms and other units if I knew what those terms meant. On its birth certificate, that information is noted for historical purposes. WORKS REALLY WELL for goat weight measurement! Would a fish cease flopping around if you sung to it?If I had to replace it because it was trodden on by a large old doe like my previous one, I WOULD BUY ANOTHER ONE. My wife would not fit in the bucket when I attempted to weigh her with it. This product is AMAZING, regardless of its relatively inexpensive cost. As someone who relies on fishing for a living, I feel compelled to award this short story five stars. In November 2017, I went on my first actual surf-fishing expedition and utilized this hold, repeatedly fully submerging myself in the water. I accidentally put it in a bag other than my fishing bag, and I just just discovered it and cleaned it. After washing the sand off of it, I was unable to detect any external rust damage, and all of the mechanisms continued to operate normally while still needing some sand to grind them somewhat. She is prepared for a new season with a little oil applied to the scale shaft and gripper joints. Seriously, there's a reason that this product is an Amazon Choice. Excellent feel, no regret buying, however be prepared for the emails asking you to provide a review. I received some when I first purchased it six months ago, and I recently received another one. It's odd that they really want the follow-up, but it's great that they presumably knew I wanted to wait to leave a review until I had a chance to evaluate how it stands up over time. After using (and quite seriously abusing) this product, I can wholeheartedly endorse it. Price that seems too good to be true almost always is. One of the very few times it isn't is in this situation.

I bought this scale mostly to check and calibrate the drag on my fishing reels, and so far, it has successfully set up 11 reels. The field of view on the screen is fairly limited, and if oriented incorrectly, it might be difficult to read. If it remains steady for a second or two, it will hold a measurement and can be cleared with a single button. It read within a hundredth of a pound of the other flat scales I own, so it seems accurate (at least enough for my use) (mostly precision gramme scales)

Great and simple to use scale, however the tape measure is worthless. It was quite challenging to even remove it, and the third time, the end piece snapped off and the tape entered. If I have the time, I'll disassemble it and add a pull tab, but you shouldn't need to do that; just peel off the tape and you'll have a fantastic scale.UPDATE: A new scale arrived yesterday; I didn't get in touch with them, but perhaps this review was spotted. I loved the rubberized grip on the handle and sides as soon as I took the scale out of the package. The scale's lighted display is rather beautiful. The scale is comfortable to hold and perfectly sized for my large hand. Either the top handle or the side handles can be held comfortably. The scale's hook is not overly sharp and is the right size. The scale is lightweight, waterproof, and has a vibrant color scheme. The fish grippers are smaller than I had anticipated and might not be suitable for the inshore fishing I had in mind. If you want to weigh smaller toothy fish, it should work OK until I add a larger size to the set. They appear to be high-quality grippers, but they are smaller than I would like, and I don't think they would function properly with anything near to the scale's maximum rating.

The scale functions well. I recently checked the calibration, and the readings appear to be fairly accurate. Since I purchased the scale to verify the weight of my bow, the lock function is pretty useful and locks the measurement after two seconds (but the scale needs to be steady). And I considered the scale's substance to be sturdy. Just to be sure, I've included two graphs of its performance. Overall, there appears to be a 4% gap between it and the actual weight.

The so-called "S-Hooks" are absurd. They're difficult to cope with while lifting an animal, they'll go misplaced, etc. All is well once I just replaced them with two carabiners. The carabiners attach quickly so they won't fall off, and they stay fastened while I'm using the scale so I don't have to fiddle with it constantly to lift the animal off the ground. The calibration screw appears to function perfectly; it is accurate enough to fulfil my requirements and is close enough to the weight of game animals.
