These are a few that we have. For unforeseen incidents, we place them on top of children's mattresses, underneath the fitted sheet. They don't add too much thickness, just enough. I layered them twice when we were potty training: a standard fitted sheet, a waterproof sheet, and a waterproof sheet. So it's simple to clean up late-night messes or illnesses without waking the youngsters up too much. The child can sleep on the remaining fitted sheet and water proof sheet after I simply remove one layer of each, and I won't have to worry about another mishap! In order to protect hotel or friend beds from harm when we travel, I also pack them. We've used them without a sheet on top as well because they have a nice cotton top that doesn't seem plasticky. I was reminded of how much I cherish these tonight. My child would wet the bed, and after spending over $100 on premium waterproof mattress protectors, they STILL leaked. I purchased these in the hopes that they would perform better, but I never imagined how much I would adore them. Just woke up after being informed by a youngster that they wet the bed. My quest is finished! I've purchased pads from a variety of brands in the past, but this is by far my favorite. When my pets are indoors, I utilize it for them. They are very absorbent and have a large surface area. Just now, we received the entire case. I took one of the pads out of one of the packets after opening it. At first, I figured it could be less filled inside than some of the green ones I've seen in hospitals and other places. I chose to test it out because I was worried about the absorbency rather than find out later and have to replace the entire bed.I then took it outdoors, filled two full glasses (16 fluid ounces) with water, and dropped them exactly in the middle of it. When I raised the entire pad, there were no leaks and there was ZERO water on the concrete I set the pad on, despite the fact that it appeared as though some of the cloth-like material MIGHT have gone up (partly because of the direct poor from a full standing posture). When I folded it up, the regions where water had not been spilled on it still absorbed moisture. The pad was thicker and kept ALL THE WATER in.I haven't had the opportunity to test it out in real life with a sick relative's incontinence, but I can report that my direct pour of 16 oz. of water was MORE THAN SUCCESSFUL, and I am quite pleased. I believe these pads can be used for more than what I originally intended and are undoubtedly capable of serving your needs.

It is too little and flimsy if you require a pad to cover in an adult bed. It works well as a chair protector, a back-up underneath adult pull-ups, or a surface to catch accidental spills. It can be used as a puppy or dog pad for a small dog that is housebound, or to wipe the skin of an adult wearing pull-ups after an accident that left wetness on the skin of the legs and buttocks. As a result, the visiting nurse will have a spotless surface to set her belongings down on when using a Table-Mate table in the living room (or on the coffee table, or the sofa, etc). When having a snack, it makes a great replacement for a sheet of newspaper for peeling an apple or grapefruit. Hope someone can use this.
