Because our 3-year-old granddaughter enjoys jumping on the bed, we actually purchased this for her. She didn't get any bounce, though, being barely 25 pounds. I can bounce quite fine at 195 pounds. After figuring out how to finesse certain springs, I decided to eliminate them. To release all tension from the springs, you must fold the trampoline as though you were about to place it in the carrying case. Once one of the "pointy" ends can slip under the hook, twist the triangular "ring" – it's a VERY small space, but it consistently works. The spring hook easily exits the frame once that is done.I started by removing 16 of the 32 springs, or every other one, but it wasn't enough. They are VERY TIGHT springs. I then removed all 16 of the remaining springs, 8 of them again. That was the solution. Now that she has a strong bounce, it is still snug enough for my little 100-pound wife to bounce on it with her.The strength and quality of all the parts really impress me. This thing is just outstanding.

Our 3-year-old daughter was previously using an air mattress as a trampoline, so we purchased this rebounder as a miniature trampoline for her to use indoors. It was delivered to us a day and a half ago, and ever since, it has commanded our attention. She wasn't really impressed at first because she didn't feel much bounce, but over the past day and a half, she has grown more connected to it. Although she prefers to only briefly bounce on it at a time rather than continuously doing so for a long period, she may occasionally do so for a few minutes when she is truly loving it. I believe that it was helpful since I had been attempting to loosen the bands for her a little bit by bouncing on it.I found it difficult to understand the benefits of each small trampoline when I was researching them, so I'll attempt to explain a few things I read in reviews and questions.First off, a kid can use it, yes. Without a bar to grab onto, our 3-year-old has no trouble jumping on it by herself. In order to get some very high, more uncontrolled bounces in, she does occasionally like to cling onto my hands or my husband's hands, but usually, she manages just fine on her own. This is also quite stable. Given that it can be folded and that it only appears to have four legs in the picture, I was worried about its stability. Because it would have to fold "up" on them in the opposite direction from how you jump, it is unlikely that it will ever be an issue. In addition, it required a lot of force to unfurl and snap into position. That if it folded in the same direction I would leap on it, I doubt even my weight could make it unfold again. Finally, there are actually 6 legs instead of just just 4! The image is wrong, and for some reason, responses to the question on this page about the number of legs range between 4 and 6. On this, there are unquestionably 6 legs. I'm happy because it makes it incredibly stable. Although I am not a fan of her doing it and we have talked about not doing it subsequently, she has stepped with all of her weight on the bar's very edge between two legs and it hasn't fallen over.Answers to some further queries - I'm 34 years old and have average strength, and I was able to open this pretty much all by myself. Only because my spouse was there and holding the unfolding edge to "spot" me do I say pretty much. If he hadn't been there, I would have done it on my own, but as others have stated, it is SCARY to watch it happen. It becomes extremely, incredibly tight at the end and becomes really loud and ominous, which is very frightful. I stepped on one side of it and pushed with my entire body while using both of my hands to open it. Although I was very cautious for a time, not letting our daughter near it while we put on the safety pad, it did not appear as though it would fold itself up again once it was unfolded. Now, it would be extremely difficult for one person to put on the safety pad over the bar/bands—possibly impossible. It is quite challenging to keep it in place as I exert all of my might to bend it in the next direction. We discovered that it has leg holes, so start it on the right side and ensure that a leg hole is present near the location where the leg would screw in. By doing this, you can prevent it from sliding along the bar and make it stay in that position so you can draw it further. I'd want to add that the directions were challenging, as other people have said. The instructions state that the secure pins with wire rings must be in the bar and properly secured, but it's not clear what that entails given that they arrive on the rebounder exactly as they are shown in the photo (okay, so you are just making sure that nothing came loose during transport as they are for safety...) and that you unfold it after the secure pins are mentioned before it makes another mention of them. So, from what I gather, even after you've just used great force to unfold this thing, the security pins just remain in place and you don't do anything to them. They remain stationary, and neither the wire ring nor the pins are altered. I do not understand how these may be useful, but as I am not involved in the trampoline safety industry, I decided to leave them. I was able to let this go because I felt safe in the other things I had mentioned earlier. :) It was fairly simple to screw in all 6(!!!) legs once the safety pad was on, flip it over, and start jumping.I can't speak to how simple it is to assemble or use the resistance tubes or the meter because we haven't attached them. Even so, it appears simple to put them together as instructed.If it wasn't obvious, the design of this rebounder substitutes enormous elastic bands for metal springs. I wanted the bands for safety and noise management, even though they appear to be a little stiffer than metal springs. I don't imagine anyone getting hurt by the elastic bands because they are just large stretch fabrics, and even when an adult jumps, there isn't much noise. They do both of these things really effectively. I'd guess it makes roughly the same amount of noise as someone jumping on carpet, if not slightly less. We've just had it for a day and a half, but it already seems more springy than when we first started bouncing on it. As for the stiffness of the bands, I think these will get more stretchy over time.As a whole, our family is quite happy with this product. The product is of good quality and is reasonably priced. The assembly really isn't that bad, even though it can be a little frightening at times and demands a lot of muscle and coordination (safety pad). I don't believe anyone should avoid this out of concern for a gathering. It can be done, but only if you take it seriously.:) I suggest it!
