Yes, they are organic, healthy, and utterly wonderful. But take caution! Why? because just 3 tablespoons of hemp hearts contain a whopping 15 grams of fat. To maintain our higher than normal major Olympic athlete ideal of having an incredibly low body fat to muscle mass ratio, we like to add in a small amount of these healthy fats as a superb substitute for our other usual healthy fats. I used to be what I term a skinny-fat years ago. Yes, she is quite thin but her muscles lack definition. All of that was changed for me by Joyce and Marthe Vedral, who helped me maintain my slim figure while adding abs, biceps, triceps, etc. to it. A few years after making dietary changes and adopting a very low-fat diet, I found myself in the Playboy Mansion, albeit I turned down the offer to become a Playmate. Later, I did win awards as a horror filmmaker; I no longer make horror movies. I changed to becoming a vegetarian and adopted what I like to call compassionate logic. But I still maintain my stunning physique. I bought a bag of these organic hemp hearts for Snacksgiving last year as an alternative to the traditional turkey dinner. I have never before tried them. I have to admit that their deliciousness astounds me. A tablespoon of them tastes fantastic on low-fat Dreyers Vanilla Ice Cream or in a non-fat organic Greek yogurt-style smoothie for post-workout recovery. While my partner was installing our tree swings for Snacksgiving, I combined a small amount of the hemp hearts with a homemade gourmet trail mix I had made with hot, unsalted homemade edamame, a small amount of mixed nuts, bits of some nutritious sesame crackers, 1 serving (110 calories/no fat), Made in Nature Organic Dried Apricots cut with herb scissors, Bob's Red Mill Muesli, and a small amount of Bob's Red We had a ton of energy and it was wonderful. We also added a little of my homemade low-fat vegetarian soup, which is higher in fat than Parmesan but was still wonderful and distinct from the typical croutons or Parmesan. Therefore, I especially advise individuals who have a history of staying in shape and who are neither skinny obese, overweight, or in the process of losing weight. Don't overlook things and anticipate them as something you can include later. When they take the time to include some healthy fat in their eating program, these are a very useful Omega 3-6 tool for those large, but lean, HUGE body builder types. Each 3 tablespoon serving has 10 grams of protein, 15 grams of fat, plus a host of phytonutrients and antioxidants. Just keep in mind, 3 tablespoons of these contain 15 grams of fat. See whether you can fit some in before adding them to a meal without worrying about your weight. How many grams of fat are there in a cannoli, a bowl of non-RBST ice cream, etc.? Keep your beautiful body! Judy Sands

Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts Raw Shelled Hemp Seeds, 1lb; with 10g Protein & 12g Omegas per Serving, Whole 30 Approved, Non-GMO, Gluten Free Review:

Over time, I've gradually improved my diet by consuming more raw food and better-quality meals. When I saw hemp hearts included in a recipe and did some research, I kind of fell on them by accident. The fact that hemp hearts are a complete protein—containing all nine essential amino acids in the proper proportions to support human life—is one of their best qualities. The "correct" ratio of omega 3 to omega 6 fatty acids, which is essential for anti-inflammation, was the second significant aspect in my opinion. It was a wonderful complement to my morning smoothie because it also had a ton of other nutrients. Now for the bizarre part: I sustained a foot injury seven years ago that caused my big toe joint to be in excruciating agony all the time. I saw three different doctors, who did little other than prescribe ibuprofen and inject cortizone into the affected area. I've been icing it ever since and find it does temporarily ease the discomfort, but I'm still frustrated and in continual pain. Over time, the injured site has calcified, and the joint is visibly bigger than the one on the opposite foot. I had accepted that I would experience pain every day of my life as a result of injury-related arthritis. Although not ideal, the ice did its best to contain the flames. Just being able to manage the pain and keep working out made me happy. A few months ago, the discomfort completely disappeared. I was astounded but wary; nonetheless, the discomfort has not returned and the joint's size has actually shrunk. I struggled to think of what I had done differently in my life to bring about this pleasant and beneficial change. In the end, I understood that the only new element in my diet was the hemp hearts, which I now consume 2T/day. The only tangible aspect of my life that has altered throughout this time is a modest amount yet a significant difference. I had to post this since it's so incredible to me and I know there must be others who are experiencing identical conditions for whom there is no cure other than medication. The funny thing is that I never started using the hemp hearts with any goals other than nourishment, so I can't really call this a placebo effect. This seems to be a complete and utter reversal of this issue. As a result of this experience, I have read more, and I have also discovered that "Hemp's specific fatty acid composition and balance can have substantial impact on inflammatory processes and cell membrane activities, which are the basis of various chronic diseases." (LiveStrong) My diet will always include hemp hearts.

Mighty Seed Hemp Hulled Seeds, 24 Ounce Review:

These are hemp seeds, indeed. nothing out of the ordinary or extraordinary. For the quality, these are a fantastic value. These are 100% comparable to more expensive brands that I have purchased. Since my entire family is vegan, I use mine to top dishes and in smoothies for my vegan, almost 2-year-old twins. Trust me, twin toddlers would confirm that there was no strange flavor, only a slight nuttiness that wasn't particularly noticeable.

Nutiva Organic, Raw, Shelled Hempseed from non-GMO, Sustainably Farmed Canadian Hemp, 19-Ounces Review:

I tried the hempseed that my YA kid had given me. Since they don't consume dairy, they prepare hemp milk by blending 1-2 T of hempseed with water in a Vitamix (or high-speed blender). While they were here visiting, I used it for milk in recipes since it was unexpectedly palatable. Hempseed may be added to almost anything and is incredibly nutrient-dense and little nutty. Now, I'm undeniably a fan. They claimed that while this brand was fine, other brands had somewhat better flavors. I'm going to test out numerous brands so I can make my own decision because it could just be a matter of preference. I'm thrilled with this product right now, though. For my first time using hempseed, it seems nice and fresh.

Healthworks Shelled Hemp Seeds Organic (32 Ounces / 2 Pounds) | Premium & All-Natural | Canadian or European Sourced | Contains Omega 3 & 6, Fiber and Protein Review:

There are a lot of Chia Seeds here, and they are of high quality. Every day I add them to my smoothies, cereal, and even my green banana ice cream. I'd rather just store it in the substantial resealable container it comes in and take out what I need. My morning routine involves making a smoothie with my vanilla brown rice protein powder, chia seeds, green banana flour, frozen green bananas, flaxseeds, and fruit. This meal keeps me full for several hours. Even though that sounds disgusting, it's delicious! By the way, the green bananas are there to assist me reduce my blood sugar and lose weight. I almost shed 100 pounds.UPDATE: I'm simply giving my initial review a little bit of an update now that I've started using these Healthworks Chia Seeds in MOST of my gluten-free breads and muffins. It improves the dough's ability to maintain its shape and slightly sweetens the flavor. I only use a few tablespoons in a loaf of bread, on average. I add a little bit more if the bread contains a lot of seeds, like flaxseed or other, because it balances the flavor. LOVE it in my sunflower seed and almond breads, too. Given how large this bag is, I use it for a variety of purposes whenever I want to add a bit thickness, texture, or natural sweetness. Do not forget to store it in the Fridge or Freezer. It's a big bag, and if kept cool, it will last longer. A bag of frozen mixed berries from Dollar Tree costs $1. Boy, I enjoy those with a little Greek yogurt, Chia Seeds, Cashew or Almond Milk, and Hemp or Protein Powder. Now, I simply won't blend a smoothie without adding a tablespoon of chia seeds. You may become very addicted to the flavor and texture of these chia seeds. I am aware that Chia Seeds are available everywhere, but these are unbeatable in terms of price, size, and quality.* I'm always willing to make my reviews better. I will make an effort to assist you if you have queries about a product. Please let me know in the comments below if this review was useful in any way, since this helps me with future reviews.
