I've had the worst problem locating anything from my youth ever since I came to the northeast. Although good, Texas Pete isn't the same. I decided to surf Amazon one late night. Unexpectedly, they offered some traditional dishes and hot sauce. I decided to try it because it appeared to be how I recalled. I'm very happy that I did!The bottles are considerably bigger than I need, but I assumed I could just use it on everything, so it's not a big deal ;)

I ordered two Nomad Nutrition meals for a weekend of backpacking, and this is one of them. Irish Shepherd's Pie was the other taste option. Although I enjoyed both dishes, my favorite is Kathmandu Curry. I ate it quickly. After looking for and reviewing prepackaged backpacking/camping meals that could be gentle for my delicate stomach, I ordered these meals. I do not regularly consume dairy-free or gluten-free food, nor am I a vegan. I do make an effort to avoid soy because it has been discovered via testing for food sensitivities that soy irritates my body. In any case, these meals appeared to be relatively "safe" to consume in the highlands, where indigestion may be very unpleasant. I had almost no indigestion, and I was really happy with how flavorful these meals are. I was able to eat it without adding any more seasoning. As soon as I opened each container, the aroma was overpowering. I appreciate it, Nomad Nutrition!

I only noticed a few bits of dry peppers and a few spices; no onion at all. If you want to make the authentic dish, prepare to add your own peppers and onions to this Simply Potatoes base. This is the only way to get hashbrowns that aren't tasteless.
