We've only used it once, but it's great. Why drill holes in your boat and add underwater learning when you can just throw one of these off the dock? The light initially wasn't delivered, but USPS misplaced it at the sorting facility. A worker might have been a fisherman! After I contacted the manufacturer, they resolved the issue, and I received my order within two days. I used a cheap outdoor 12v 5A supply I got from Amazon to put on my pier in a salty creek in Florida. A smart plug is how I control it. The lamp appears to be long-lasting and well-built. The underlying wire has a respectable gauge, and the cable is hefty. In terms of outcomes, glass minnows gathered around it as soon as it illuminated at dusk, and a lot of snook quickly followed. My grandson was enthralled by the fish! To track its aging, I'll update with some pictures. A 1000 lumen light from another seller is contrasted with the 7500 lumen light in the video. I've experimented with a couple different rod tip glow stick models. These have by far the lowest prices and are the most user-friendly. You just need to snap the stick, give it a little shake, then click it onto the tip of the rod to be ready to go. They fit most rods and are brilliant. They might not fit if you have a really heavy surf or bottom fishing rod. Simply place them on one eye lower than the tip if you have very little rod time. These past two nights, I've also had a lot. Given a good shake, they will continue to function for a second night even though they are obviously not as bright the second night if all you want to see is the rod tip move when a fish attacks. They fit well on all of the surf fishing rods I use, which range in length from 10 feet of medium action to 12 feet of heavy action. I cherish these items.

Around here, every night-fishing crappie angler uses an electric lamp or a Coleman lantern that hangs above the water. Throughout addition to drawing fish, they draw a ton of bugs in the late spring and summer. After a night of fishing, there was an inch of dead bugs at the bottom of my lantern. They divebomb your face and whatever else the light shines off of. I have a limit to how many bugs I can endure hitting my eyes.I therefore wanted to experiment with a submersible light. I read the reviews, and even the priciest ones had complaints about leakage and inadequate warranties. I decided to get this one because I believed if something was going to break, I'd rather it break on a $20 light than a $120 light. Although I've only used it once, it appears well made so far. It had no leaks and used a sealed 12V 7Ah lead-acid battery for 4 hours, only draining it by roughly 50%. really luminous There was a 20' circle of light surrounding the pier, and the water was pretty clear (I could see the light plainly at around 3'). Almost immediately, it began drawing what appeared to be water fleas, and within about an hour, there were thousands of them swarming around the light. Although the site was probably ineffective for attracting large schools, I did spot some minnows as well. As the light changed, I noticed some sizable trout or smallmouth fish dashing through it. Before a storm pushed us off the water, we caught a lot of small crappies and several very big perch using a jig that resembled the size and form of the minnows we saw.Although I am unsure of how long it will last, I have been impressed with the quality and brightness of this light thus far, and I want to purchase another. I'm going to take them out in my kayak shortly to find better areas because they are the ideal size for a tiny boat. I especially enjoy the long cable because it can be hung from piers and bridges at low tide. Spending $100 on lights that only last a few journeys is a waste of money.If there are any issues in the future, I'll update.

This season, I purchased a variety of jigs and lures, but these jigs have so far been the standout. On a single jig body yesterday, I managed to catch over a dozen nice-sized crappy in just over an hour. You can jig them vertically around the weeds without a float and perform very well, but I advise using one and fishing the edges of your watering hole.I've caught hundreds of poor fish, more so than perch, rock bass, sunnies, or largemouth (or specks depending where you live). Although the smaller trout ones work just as well, they are a touch too small for my preferences. I prefer the larger lousy size ones.

So, after a dry spell, I gave this a try tonight. I expected it to help, but not by as much as it did. After about 30 minutes, what I initially believed to be bugs in the water turned out to be tiny little bait fish. I had no idea that our lake contained fish this small, so I netted one to check it out. There were a ton of them, but nothing worth hooking, so I let them swarm in the hopes that it would attract some larger fish. A little over an hour later, there were several larger bass (9 to 10 inch Stripers), but they didn't seem to be interested in my bait; they just seemed to be drawn to the light. Fish were all over the light about 90 minutes after I dropped the light in, at times being so thick that thinking was hardly visible. Usually, I run a lure on one pole while using some fresh bait on another one or two poles. When casting far out, I had to start letting the fresh bait almost touch the bottom before slowly bringing it up till it was under my boat (about 35 feet down). It was hit after hit, so I had to drop to 1 pole. A few 16 " Stripers were caught once I descended beneath the top swarm since that was where the bigger fish were.My requirements: a clear, dark night.12 mile from the coast.fishing at a location where I hardly ever catch a bite.Didn't chum the water, tried lures without success, but was having too much fun catching the larger fish near the bottom.Advice: Because this device is very brilliant, wait to connect it until it is submerged.Be patient and secure your position; they will eventually arrive.To get it past the smaller folks on top, use a lot of weight. You may also cast out about 15 yards, get it out of the light, and then bring it back in to stay deep.I fish in Arizona's Lake Havasu, where there are many Stripers, and I always release them. I'm going to try fishing with lures just on my next trip out. This is simply cheating, but not all cheating is unethical (Ask Tom Brady).I was a little dubious about the light's quality because the seal didn't seem to be strong, but after approximately three hours, there was no sign of any moisture inside. I might still tighten the seal a tiny bit, just to be cautious. I kept checking the battery gauge out of fear that I might kill it in the middle of the night, but there was hardly any draw at all.This is a fantastic product, therefore I'm not sure why there are any negative comments here. The ones that had problems most likely didn't give it enough time to sit.

I bought a bottle of the "Crappie Attractant" in 2014, but I didn't use it much because I assumed it wouldn't make a difference.In the summer of 2015, I was catching crappie, but they kept turning off. I tried a variety of jigs, but to no avail, so I thought, "What the heck? Let's try the attractant." It generated fish!Since then, I have used it on practically every cast without ever getting skunked. My main baits are waxworms and maggots, and they always receive a "dab" before every cast, even if I do use it on minnows, like the first time it worked. I find it to be extremely effective when utilizing glow jigs after dark on bluegills. I believe it not only tempts fish on picky days to bite, but also makes them hold on to the bait for a longer period of time.Instead of using the attractant's original bottle to work, I transfer it to a 4 oz. (glass) eye dropper bottle and use that instead. Actually, I use the eye dropper more as a dauber than as an eye dropper.
