I required this product for multiple doors, one of which had a roughly 1 1/4" gap at the bottom when opened, as you can probably see from the photographs. I needed something sturdy that doesn't slide as a piece of hard plastic would because the door is substantial as well.These doorstops are actually quite soft, but they are also quite sturdy, so they won't scratch surfaces. Even though I was dubious and purchased two for that one door, they are bigger than the typical stops I discovered, thus just one of them is needed to hold the enormous door with the closing spring shown in the picture. used the headboard's wall-mounted door stoppers in the guest room. I was worried that the spherical metal finial on the headboard could make a small dent in the wall. To accommodate the finial, the stoppers are precisely the right size. So far, they seem to be performing flawlessly for this specific purpose. I'm confident I'll be able to use the other items in the package for anything else because they are extremely strong. They have not fallen; instead, they are stuck on a painted wall. I took a chance by attaching something to the wall with glue, but if I need to take it off, I'm sure I can use heat—say, from a hair dryer—to loosen it without destroying the paint or drywall paper.

I questioned whether the device was made of stronger materials because I wasn't sure if all the holes in the bar's shaft were necessary. However, after doing tests at home, I disagree. Just more alternatives for where to place the bar beneath the doorknob. Better grips are produced by the rotating feet. My opinion is that the security bar is only as strong as the doorknob assembly; if it is weak or old, it may break under pressure. Overall, I believe the expense was worthwhile. I let the deadbolt and security bar under the door knob to remain unlocked as a male relative pushed on the door. The carpet nearly tore when the door ajar a little. The bar, however, did not budge or slide.

My wall mount knob stop was too short to prevent the door knob from striking the deeper new towel bars. These are excellent and adjustable, allowing you to choose where the door stops. As suggested by another reviewer, I fitted two hinges per door, one on the upper hinge and one on the lower hinge. Although one will do, two grips the door more firmly. Here are some simple installation instructions.1) slam the door. Use an aid, be really quick, or shim under the door with a piece of wood or anything else you have on hand to keep it in place.2) Tap a hammer on the door hinge's bottom with a Phillips-head screwdriver until the hinge pin pops up.3) Hammer the hinge pin out of the hinge by inserting a flat-head screwdriver under its head.4) Place this object on the pin and insert the pin back into the hinge. Rubber circular tip facing the door's side5) Reinstall the hinge pin by tapping the head.

Because it's right next to the bathroom, where the cat litter box is, I bought this to keep the door to my mirror closet closed.
