This is a really good shower or bath mat (something you stand on to catch drips and keep your feet warm while you towel dry.) All of it is cotton. It lacks the non-slip backing that I specifically wanted. There is no rug here. It is designed to be laundered frequently. Avoid using fabric softener and bleach, according to the label.After carefully examining the seam bindings and weaving, I washed two brand-new white mats on warm in a high-efficiency washer with other premium towels (the instructions state cold water wash, warm dry) and tumble dried them on heated in a dryer with a sensor. After the cycle was finished, they were just very slightly moist compared to the other towels, which were all dry. After both mats had dried completely, I measured them and discovered that they were 31 inches long and 20 inches wide, weighed 1 pound, 1 14 ounces, and were roughly 5/16 inch thick. They had barely any linting, no discernible shrinkage, and still had well sewed hems. These were soft and thirsty after washing, despite the fact that I seldom use fabric softener.Although it is a little shorter than the previous mats I've bought, it is thicker. The 1960 shower bathroom's limited space is ideal for the shorter length. Because they are 100% cotton and are marked as flammable, they will burn if you hang them close to an open space heater.I should mention that I reside close to the Gulf Coast, which is an extremely warm and humid region. Mildew and mold spread quickly. After taking a shower, we squeegee and towel-dry the bathroom before quickly washing and drying the towels and mats. I encountered a Goldilocks dilemma when trying to get the washing bag I desired. Having a bag thick enough to hold all my washing (for a house of two) with two shoulder straps is surprisingly difficult because I carry my laundry four blocks up a hill. Others were overly huge, while others were too thin. Although I can't say the same for a comparable one I bought at Target a few months ago, it was thick enough not to rip. However, the absence of adjustable straps was quite aggravating.This purse is just exceptional. This bag is what you want if you want a bag with TWO adjustable shoulder straps, which I would recommend if you need to travel a considerable distance with your laundry and detergent, and with material thick enough not to rip when you stuff all your dirty bedding and clothes in it. If you're simply transporting the bag from your car to the laundromat, it might not be worth it because the price is a little higher than the bag I linked. Look no further if you need something solid that disperses weight uniformly (the description claims it supports 15 pounds, but I tell you it can support much more)!
