My dog was close by my side when I opened the package of goodies, so I gave him one. I didn't see him again for more than an hour, and he still had plenty of the first treat left. The "busy" snacks are wonderful. My dog continues to be "active," which enables me to complete various tasks without having to give him my full attention. I adore my dog, but he requires a lot of care and is only a little over two years old. These are a favorite of my dog, who can finish one in under two hours. To keep him occupied while I work from home, I give him one virtually daily. He can eat these so quickly since the hide is relatively thin, which is my one complaint. You might not experience the same issue as me, albeit my dog is a rather vicious chewer. If I am unable to locate any with a thicker hide, we will definitely purchase these again. My dogs enjoy these, however I did not enjoy the ants when they first arrived in the package. I chose to try these rawhide treats because they were featured at a very good price compared to pet store costs. Since most pet store items are packaged overseas and have a strong odor that my dogs have to wait a few days to tolerate before eating, I enjoy that these products were completely natural and created in the U.S. The raw hide chews and several moving protein specks that we refer to as ants were inside the plastic bag when the box was opened. little red ants in size. I filled the bag with water, cut off a corner, and poured the water out, but virtually all the ants were still inside. I then microwaved the bag to kill the ants, then rinsed off each chew to get rid of the now-dead ants. The Amazon shipment had to be taken outside because it also contained ants. I'm not sure how the ants got into the box because it had been on my porch for about an hour before I brought it inside. Although I didn't search for ants when I picked up the box and I didn't notice any ants on the porch later, the ants may have come from my shrub beds near to the porch.Good stuff at a great price that my dogs are currently chewing on, but the bag needs to be properly sealed and hole-free.An update on the item The chews were a little bit softer when the ants were killed with water and a microwave. I divided one of them in half for my two long-haired chihuahuas and gave my Jack Russell the entire chew. They are all relaxed and silently snacking. I would buy these chews once more.

The best rawhide product ever must be these!Some brands of rawhide chips, including Companion, that my grocery store had previously stocked were recalled and subsequently became unavailable. Everything else on the market was either junk food for dogs or was only suitable for little dogs. Finding a replacement became a top priority because Dog-boy cherished them. It took hours to read and research each of the Azn reviews. Ugh.These are consistent in size and lack the chips' frequently present thin, jagged edges. With his commitment, he can finish one in about 10–20 minutes, so there's really no need for a doggy bag in this situation. They do help to minimize the tartar buildup on his teeth. No choking, splintering, or stomach issues have occurred. He also adores them!Updated on 4/3: Dog-boy still enjoys them, and his teeth are doing well (for which he also receives a denta-treat). After doing some investigation, I discovered that each of them has *approximately* 100 calories, thus you would want to modify your dog's daily calorie intake.

I have to admit that finding a product that lived up to the hype was a pleasant surprise. These were purchased for my 14-month-old Doberman who can destroy anything in three minutes or less. She was able to use one of these for two hours! The bones are crushed for around 20 minutes. Although these are still inferior to the real beef bones I feed her once a week, they are cleaner and leave no messes. As a treat and addition to the real beef bones I give her to keep her teeth clean and sate her insatiable urge to chew, I will continue to buy these. I suggest you give them a shot!

I've been purchasing rawhide chip rolls from Pet Factory every two weeks for almost six years, and during the past two years, I've observed a drastic reduction in quality. Even their appearance and smell change. My dogs wouldn't even touch several of the bags we received. It became common for us to take several out of the bag and place them on the floor so our dogs could chose for themselves after we would offer it to them and they would turn their noses up at it. It grew increasingly hit-or-miss. I tried these out and my dogs (a Cockapoo and a Bichon Frise) really adore them! 4 stars simply because I have to buy them so frequently and I'm a little surprised that the price increased from $9.99 to $10.99 in the previous 7 days. Although the diameter is less than that of most other chip rolls, I don't mind because the quality more than makes up for it.

Dogs adore it, and it's cheap. With no gastric discomfort, they tolerate this brand. One MUST, however, keep an eye on them and be in the SAME room as them because this is unquestionably a choking hazard. One MUST be prepared to reach down and retrieve any potential choking-size bits. I simply discard them in the garbage and buy a new one when they are too small to be a danger for me to handle. Never, ever, ever let your dog unattended with this. Whenever they are chewing on raw hide, stay very close by. 90% of dog deaths involving choking occurred in the adjacent room. Therefore, do not let them chew on raw hide retriever rolls if you are not prepared to watch them carefully at ALL times. Before you depart for work, don't leave anything behind. Learn about the risks of giving your dog rawhide chews. Consider the hazards. Both my dogs and I adore these.

Of all the rawhide chews I have, they last the longest. I've tried the thinner rolls, and they vanish within 10 minutes; I've tried the chips, twists, knotted bones, and compressed rawhides, and these continue to outlive the others. I'll give one of these to my 40 lb, 9-month-old golden doodle dog (who is now chewing everything) at the start of the week, and she'll still be working on it days later. They have an intriguing scent that is somewhat reminiscent to the fragrance of bully sticks. However, as it's an animal product, I didn't anticipate a pleasant scent. They are definitely more alluring to my dog due to the smell... I was unsure of how to translate that in the review's "scent" section. Though my dog doesn't smell them, I do! I rated them 4 out of 5 stars altogether, though.Hope this is useful!
