When we relocated a few years back, the puppies I formerly used a shed rake for seemed to vanish. We had an elder pyr and an Irish wolfhound/wolfhound mix at the time. As far as I can tell, it appears to be really successful. The only problem I've ever had isn't with the comb; rather, it's with my stubborn dogs. The back of a dog that insists on keeping his nose on the comb at all times is quite challenging to brush.I heartily suggest it if your dog can manage to remain still long enough for you to use the comb.
