My chihuahua loved it, however she has outgrown it since she is now approximately 12 pounds; she can still wear, but it's tight. She had the option of remaining hidden when she felt like it or coming out at any time (not completely sealed in). She was quite comfortable and could see out and receive some fresh air while laying down because it is soft with a strong padded bottom. This looks like a purse; I carried it on my shoulder. It is incredibly well built; after carrying it for more than a year, it still looks brand new. There are no rips or tears. The material resembles nylon and is wipeable in case of spills. Even people were unaware that it was a dog carrier. Having trouble finding anything comparable that my dog Blue is comfortable in, I came back to write this review. I've tried a few other similar items already, but none have been as excellent as this.

excellent bag I haven't worried about it ripping or shredding because of the tough structure. Even when I had it fully packed, it was still fairly light. It does have handles and a shoulder strap, which, depending on what else I'm carrying, I use. On the inside and outside, there are numerous small pockets and compartments. As you can see from the photographs, it is fairly roomy when fully opened, however it does condense a little bit when you zip it up. The zipper is surrounded by a metal rod, making the top of the bag sturdy. I needed assistance carrying my 18-week-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi downstairs for late-night potty runs. Up until this point, I had to carry him down using both arms, which was dangerous for both of us because I couldn't use the handrail. By doing this, I am able to hold my puppy with one arm and fit his rear legs and behind into the sling. I can now bring us down the stairs easily without worrying about slipping. With how big the sling stretches to, I could definitely fit his entire body in there right now, but stabilizing his back side works just perfect.Even though I only wear this for little periods of time, I really like how comfy and thick the strap is that goes around my shoulder (night time potty brakes only).
