For the Halloween celebration at my church, I wanted some "official" patches to sew on my costume, and these turned out great! The patches arrived earlier than anticipated and in great shape! I thought it was really lovely that they even included a sweet little card outlining what to do whether you agreed with them or not. The only patch I didn't use was the 50th anniversary Apollo 11 patch because I got to watch the original landing and my dad was part in the space race. The individual patches are rather stiff, and I found it a little challenging to hand sew them, but they are unquestionably very high-quality embroidery. Even though I am aware that they are iron-on patches, I didn't want to iron them onto my winter jacket. After the event, I was going to take them off, but I really liked the way they looked, so I kept them! In fact, when I wore my jacket to the grocery store today, a woman approached me and inquired about my "NASA" jacket; I was pleased to share the occasion with her.

I don't know what happened to the other people who complained about the quality (maybe some adjustments were done in response to the negative reviews, I dunno), but I LOVE THEM! The ordering procedure is a little strange, though; you must choose one of three options from the desired style, where you may choose the typeface and the method for attaching the patches on your shirt. Once you click the customize option, you can only choose the font's color and enter text. It would be convenient if everything could be organized on a single order page. Even if I look to see what I previously ordered, it's perplexing to validate what you ordered because the descriptions are incorrect. After collecting patches for years with the intention of mounting them on my rucksack, I discovered Badge Magic and did so in under 30 minutes. The double-layered backpack with interior zipped compartments made it nearly difficult for me to sew them on when I first tried. I got some Badge Magic because I didn't want to use glue and tried it out. The badges are held on very firmly, but if you try to violently remove them, they will come off. Since it requires a lot of work, I am confident they won't come off with regular use.Simply trace the emblem on the paper and cut it out to place. It can be challenging to get your fingernail under the paper-printed side to begin peeling it off. After removing one side, align it with the patch's back and push it firmly into place. Then, remove the remaining side and press it firmly into place on the surface. With your hands, press down on the patch in all of its locations. One sheet should provide roughly 12 patches of the same size.

They appear to work very well, however I'm still not sure if I prefer these to the jersey/t-shit material patches I was using previously (The Professional's Choice brand). The flannel texture is fantastic for cleaning and pulling up fouling, and they are the thickest patches I've ever used, giving them unquestionably higher absorption. They do have some fraying at the edges, as a few other people have observed, and can sometimes leave a *small* bit of lint in the barrel, as is normal with most any flannel patch (not enough to actually be a problem, but worth noting).I believe they generally do a little better job of cleaning out the bore, but it's hard to say for sure, so I'll probably stick with them. I would strongly suggest the above-mentioned brand of jersey patches if you are worried about any lint that may be left over.
