None of the big chain grocery stores in my area had these. I finally located them on Amazon, of course. These are delicious. They serve two purposes for me. First, when I've had too much coffee, I use them as a wonderful warm drink with only 10 calories. Additionally, they make a wonderful hot adult beverage! A shot of whiskey makes a fantastic cold-weather beverage. Since alcohol already has a lot of calories, I detest using mixers that are high in calories. Another piece of advice is to use more water than the package suggests. I add 10 oz of water to each packet, which makes the beverage less sweet overall.

Around August, I made the decision to hibernate for the winter. Naturally, I purchased a fuzzy winter coat and TONS of blankets. I prefer to prepare all 60 at once in a sizable cauldron, then connect a long straw from the cauldron (which is, of course, kept continuously hot on a stove) to my mouth. As I sleep, softly sipping from my cauldron of hot apple cider, it keeps me warm and provides me just the right amount of energy to keep my heart pumping. Similar to my own private IV, but much more delicious!In three months, when I fully emerge, I'll let you know how things went.The only thing I lament is that they don't offer this in 1,000 pack sizes. We have continued to drink Green Mountain Naturals Hot Apple Cider ever since I discovered it. The modification that got rid of the "Naturals" was a little disappointing, but that is all I have to gripe about. By purchasing the mulling spices and pure apple juice, filling a crock pot with the ingredients, and heating it for a few hours, we used to make our own old-fashioned apple cider. For a number of gatherings, we did this. When we began doing this, the packaged mixtures started to taste excessively sweet, potent, or acidic to us.It may seem thinner to those who are used to Nestle type "mixes," and one person even described it as "watery," but I can promise you that it is a far more natural beverage. The majority of the mixes contain additional sugars and sweeteners to make up for the absence of actual fruit in them and employ artificial flavors to "wow" the taste buds with richer apple flavors. This Green Mountain product does not accomplish this.At home and at work, it is a staple around our K-Cup machines.
