Best Cat Flea Sprays in 2020

Adams Plus Flea and Tick Spray for Cats and Dogs Review:

I have two cats and two dogs who are scratching and chewing and chomping their bodies from a horrible flea infestation that came out of nowhere. They all have jingles on their collars so the constant jingle noises along with my empathy for their misery is enough to make me just as miserable. I finally had to take their collars off because it was driving us ABSOLUTELY INSANE, especially at night. All my animals sleep in my room, so some nights, it would feel like an earthquake from all the ferocious scratching -- let's just say I've had a lot of sleepless nights lately.

I've tried to keep it all natural, but screw it.... I'm desperate. I've tried oatmeal shampoos, organic itch cloths, oils, diatomaceous earth, raging cleaning sessions in my home, brushing animals multiple times a day.... nothing was working. I Googled around looking for the best, yet most cost effective flea solution for animals. At this point, I don't care if it's all-natural or nuclear reactive, I need my sleep. This product was rated #2, so I bought it.

Whoever says that this stuff "smells good" is out of their minds -- the smell is AWFUL -- I hate it. When spraying my pets, I rubbed it into their fur pretty hard so that it gets to their skin -- I also parted their fur so that this spray could penetrate their skin easier. After my dogs were treated, my hands felt cold and greasy. Spraying the cats was quite comical, I wished I had gotten it on video, because they did not like it one bit. LOL. I ended up having to spray the spray into my hand, then scrub it into their coats. Needless to say, the animals looked like they'd had a rough night when I got done with them -- greasy and tired from fighting.

For the first time in several weeks, I slept more than 2 hours in a row. I also noticed they aren't itching and chomping on themselves as much as they have been. I plan on getting some flea killing aerosol spray and going nuts on my house so that I can put a halt to this flea bitten misery. Aside from the greasiness and the horrendous odor, this stuff works great. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is going out of their minds trying to stop fleas from driving your animals crazy. Sometimes, the "natural way" just doesn't cut it.

Adams Flea and Tick Spray for Cats and Dogs, 16 Oz Review:

We purchased Adams Flea and Tick spray over a month ago, applied it a few times to excellent results and we are flea free. Not only did the product work better than any drops (Frontline, Pet Armour) I've ever used but it checked all the right boxes; we're completely flea/itch free, without any chemical residue and no side effects. My pup is a 105lb Great Pyrenees, we live in South Florida where periodic flea explosions are common and overwhelm the drops I've applied in the past. To use it you don't need to drench your pup like some other products plus sprays can sting. Primarily I do one of the two: Spray her brush followed by gentle grooming to work in the liquid. Alternatively, I lightly spray her coat (so it's damp not soaked) and gently brush her working in the liquid. For areas that are sensitive such as legs, around the head, armpits I spray small amounts in my hand and give a quick gentle rub. For areas that are have super dense fur, I use the stream function on the bottle, spray directly into those areas then work in the liquid by hand. Initially, I applied it over a couple of days, then targeted a few areas she favored scratching. After she she stopped her random itching I noticed she would scratch when sitting on one of her favorite spots (it was carpeted). I sprayed the carpeted area, she's since stopped itching when lying on that spot. By comparison I tried Vets Best Flea + Tick which left a strong cinnamony house/dog and had marginal pest-control results. I'm not sure how long the effects will last so I've decided to apply it once a month (or as needed). A few things I particularly like about the product are the inactive agents are ether based (which means they just evaporate after application, no gunk or lingering weird smells etc.) which have the added benefit of knocking out micro critters and she doesn't have to ingest fipronil.

Wondercide Natural Flea, Tick and Mosquito Control for Dogs, Cats, and Home – Flea and Tick Killer, Prevention, Treatment Review:

This stuff is AMAZEBALLS!! I was anticipating a kitten that I knew had a bad flea infestation. He is a little guy whose pregnant mama was dropped off at a rural home...where my friend found her and took her in (as she always does and I guess word got out). Fleas are a never-ending problem as the woman offers abundant love, food and shelter, but alas...does not have the money to deal with the issues that come along with strays. I brought Tangie home and h I have reoce was covered!! I went through her entire coat and sprayed her. Those fleas were dead in seconds. After bathing him, I lost count after removing 75 fleas from his tiny body. I use it on my dog and other cat as well. This stuff . is fantastic.
But I digress....I brought the little guy home and doused him with Wondercide....and those fleas DIED ON CONTACT. I was amazed. And let me tell you...he was LOADED. I stopped counting at 60. I then bathed him, dried him and keep watch for any stragglers. Three days later...nothing yet. I would recommend this product VERY HIGHLY. I am so surprised some of the others said it didnt work for them.

HINT....start at the top of the head and sides of face so the fleas...um...flee towards the tail. If they go towards the eyes....it will be tough to get them.
Now, it does smell strong, but it didnt bother this little guy...and after his bath, the smell lingered a bit (more faintly) and was gone the next day.

I am not only impressed...I am sold on this and have recommended it to others all ready. So impressed!

Frontline Flea & Tick Spray - 8.5 oz Review:

I have been using this on my dog and ferret for several months. It has repelled the fleas and killed already existing fleas and eggs. It over exceeded my expectations. I live in a high flea area and have had no problems with fleas since using this product. I bought this particular product because a google search told me it was safe for my ferret also, so it was convenient for me to buy for both animal instead of having to buy two separate flea products. I expect this bottle to last at least a year on my two animals. I will continue to use this product and recommend it to friends and family.

Vet's Best Flea & Tick Home Spray for Cats Review:

So let me start by telling you all the story to my horror. A few months ago we had a lot of storms and tornadoes in our area. My dear husband felt bad for the stray cat living near our house and decided while I was at work to bring her in. Apparently she had four kittens and after bringing her kittens home, he decided that we HAD to keep her until they were old enough to get rid of. We had one cat before this ordeal who got treated for fleas monthly and had never had a problem. The stray cat and kittens had fleas but my vet told me I couldn't do anything to treat them due to the mom cat nursing and the kittens being too young. Fast forward - we find homes for all the kittens and the stray cat. So I notice my cat has terrible fleas. So I treat her with flea baths, flea collars, flea medicine.. the whole nine. NOTHING HELPS! it never occurred to me that my carpet and furniture could potentially be a issue ... UNTIL both me and my cat are getting eaten alive by fleas and I was desperate. (For some reason the fleas we're not attracted to my sweet beloved husband.) So I got a flea carpet powder which I then mixed with salt as I was told salt would help and let it sit on my carpet for 24 hours which helped tremendously. I ordered this in bulk and it arrived the day after. I went CRAZY on my house spraying EVERYTHING. AND IT KILLS THEM ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. this product is a blessing!! I even sprayed it on my cat and she is much happier as she now has relief from these horrendous fleas. It is amazing! I hate the smell of peppermint which this spray smells extremely strongly of, but the smell is definitely worth the relief of fleas. If you have a flea problem don't question this, just buy it! You will thank yourself. I doubted weather it would work due to it being all natural, but FYI it does!

Natural Care Flea and Tick Spray for Dogs and Cats | Flea Treatment for Dogs and Cats | Flea Killer with Certified Natural Oils | 14 Ounces Review:

I'm too nervous to spray anything with essential oils directly on my cats because I know their livers can't process out certain phenols, so I still use flea medication. However, I live in the woods, basically and I notice the last week of the month the flea medication stops working. I also have a small mouse I rescued and I am not comfortable putting chemicals directly on her, so I'm using this around her living space to hopefully keep bugs out. I have an allergy to mites, so I'm very sensitive and got tired of itching. A friend bought this to use on her cats in place of flea medication and was very pleased with it. I decided to try spraying the underneath of my bed and the bare mattress with this and sprayed some on the curtain to the front door. So far, no itching! It smells POTENT and I had to air the house out, it irritated my throat trying to breathe after spraying it...but it dissipated quickly and seems to be effective. The bottle is also quite large, so I can re-apply if I need to.
