The best leash ever is this one! My 60-pound pit mix has (had) a pulling issue. He invited me to join him for training, and our instructor made me use a Gentle Leader collar and a 6 foot leash. What a distinction that made.However, because to a lack of strength in my left arm, I wasn't always able to correct him as quickly and forcefully as I needed to (and like my trainer could). When I DO need to correct him, I make the "tsst" sound (you constantly hear Cesar Milan make it on his shows). To acquire a firmer grip, I had to constantly wrap the leash around my left hand and hold it close to my dog. Since walking that manner wasn't particularly comfortable, it would injure my hand. I kept repeating, "I wish I had a leash with two handles," so I went looking for one after deciding that I couldn't be the only one who had ever thought that!Everything is resolved with this leash! Knowing I can keep him close when I need him (short handle) and let him go and explore when he needs it offers me extra security, which I adore (like when sniffing out the perfect spot to go). Now that I know how to walk him, I have NO trouble correcting him when necessary.Additionally, it functions as a two-person leash, allowing my husband to carry the longer handle and myself to hold the shorter one while holding hands in between. Okay, let me just say that this rope is quite strong. I made the extremely dumb error of attaching it to both my wrist and my dog when I initially acquired it. I added another act of idiocy by tossing a frisbee to my dog. Naturally, my dog had no idea what it signified because this was the first time we had used it. He started after the frisbee as usual, but as he got to the end of the rope, he stopped suddenly and in pain (It was attached to his harness and not his neck). My arm was dragged straight to the ground by his momentum.My dog suffered no injury. I wasn't so lucky; I had rib bruises and a broken wrist.To cut a long tale short, this rope is really incredible. The knot held when that occurred, and the rope hasn't tangled, torn, or frayed in the month since I purchased it (to work on recall training). Its latch is still flawlessly functional. This rope is completely worth the price.
