I have a German Shepherd puppy that is 4 months old. She was frantically itching. I performed some research and discovered that GSDs require the crucial Omega 3 fatty acids. It will benefit them in more ways than one, including their skin, coat, and joint problems. Despite my skepticism, I decided to give it a shot. On a walk one day, we came upon my GSD's puppy brother (very random). After giving brother and sister a couple kisses and embraces, the owner turned to me and inquired about the food I was giving my pet. She made a remark about how lovely her clothing was. Until she said that, I hadn't compared their coats, and I must say. Compared to her sibling, my puppy's coat was GLEAMING and wonderfully silky. I was only giving her 1 pump per day, but I now firmly believe that this method is effective. Naturally, as she grows, I will increase the quantity, but I'll continue to buy this.To aid with her joints, I also give this to my 11 1/2-year-old Aussie Mix dog. She appears to be moving much more easily, and her coat is very shining.

Over the years, we have reared 7 Siberian Huskies and Malamutes. People who are familiar with this long-haired breed are aware of how much undercoat these dogs "blow" on a yearly basis. The truth is that some unsaturated fatty acids (UFAs) must be provided in your dog's diet, and veterinarians view them as absolutely necessary. The inclusion of seafood, flax seed, or a suitable supplement can improve a dog's coat, eyes, immune system, and temperament. Omega 3 is one of these essential vitamins, and both dogs and cats like the flavor of salmon oil, which is a rich source of it.Salmon Oil for Pets and Animals, The package for Fish Oil Omega 3 Food Supplement for Pets states that it is 100% All Natural, created with Wild Alaskan Salmon (as opposed to farmed salmon), and that it "Helps Dry Skin, Allergies, and Joints, Promotes Healthy Coat, Helps Inflammation." It comes in a pump bottle and doesn't have a distinct fishy smell. For each of our 35-95 pound creatures, one full pump is adequate. I add it to their nightly dry food, and they typically lick the bowls clean.I give it a 4 out of 5 for usability because the pump can occasionally be a little tricky. 5 out of 5 stars for quality, effectiveness, and cost. Some reviews claimed that these were too expensive, but in my opinion, they are completely worth it. My pitbull has split and falling-off nails as a result of his nail troubles. My veterinarian was pleased to have discovered them on Amazon and gave us a bottle to use. I won't allow my pets to go without these medications. They have the shiniest coat I've ever seen, my pitbull's nails have greatly improved, and they absolutely adore the taste of their food. I simply cut the top off. Squeeze food into their bowls before they ostensibly lick them clean.

Update, 2/11/13: It transpires that I was wrong. The labels and oils you received from this seller match exactly what SeaPet.com supplied. I suppose everyone is trying to save money, which is why the labels are so cheap-looking. I have now updated my rating from 1 to 5 stars because it is the exact same product—not counterfit as I had initially suspected—and is available for a far lower cost than buying it directly from SeaPet.com.This might be a case of "you get what you pay for," according to the original review. I've previously ordered this item directly from Sea Pet, and as soon as I got my package from them, the word "counterfit" entered my head. The oil smells different (sort of "old petroleum-y" stench vs. fresh and pleasant fish fragrance), and the label appears different (cheap looking and peeling - like printed with color laser printer on copy paper vs. shining professional grade label) (muddy vs. clear). To have a recent batch to compare, I'm planning to get 1 bottle from this seller and 1 from Sea Pet right away. If I'm mistaken and they truly do appear to be same, I will update my review. I will post an update here and report fraud if my suspicions continue.

This was first purchased for my ragdoll cat. She refused to handle it. She won't even eat canned cat food, cat treats, or fresh meat, so it's not the product's fault. She will only consume her kibble. Yes, she is strange. I ultimately gave this to our barn's dogs and cat. I'm so happy I did. Our farm cat had a dull black coat and shed profusely. When you have to shake the hair off your hand after each stroke because of excessive shedding. UGH!!! no longer. With only a bit of this added to his canned food each day, his coat has become luxuriously glossy, silky, smooth, and thick, and the amount of shedding has significantly decreased. Dreamcoat is accurate. When the winter is very dry, I feed our labs this, and it truly helps their skin and coat. Like the cat, I would give it to them all year long, but because they are huge dogs, the recommended dosage can be costly. The bottle lasts almost 14 days, however the cat only gets one teaspoon and the dogs each get three. Bottle lasts more than three months when the cat is alone. The price of the product, especially if you have several animals, and the bottle itself are its only drawbacks. I am unable to make the bottle stop dripping after pouring. It's constantly a mess. It would be convenient if you could buy this in large quantities at a discount and if the product was packaged in a pump bottle. The ideal situation would be if each pump delivered one teaspoon.

Years ago, I started giving my dogs salmon oil for their skin and coats, but since then, I've come to realize how crucial it is for their heart, brain, and joints over the long run.Wild salmon oil from Life Line is all-natural. It is made with wild Alaskan salmon that has been sustainably harvested, according to their website. Natural mixed tocopherols (Vitamin E) are added to the Life Line brand of salmon oil to maintain freshness in place of the rosemary extract that is often used as a preservative by salmon oil manufacturers. As cats cannot tolerate rosemary, the product can therefore also be used on them. About 1395 mg of total omega-3 fatty acids, including 558 mg of EPA and 651 mg of DHA, are present in one teaspoon of oil.I've generally been happy with the various brands of fish oil I've been able to get through Amazon Prime, but I normally favor the goods that come in larger bottles with a pump dispenser. Feeding time is a breeze with the pump dispensers since you simply dispense the required number of "squirts" for the weight of your dog(s) onto their food.Unfortunately, that is the one drawback of this Life Line salmon oil. There is no pump dispenser, despite the fact that it is packaged in a huge bottle. I've properly cleaned one of the competitor's fish oil dispensers and filled it with the contents of the Life Line bottle so you don't have to use and wash measuring spoons twice a day. I had to use measuring spoons to determine how much each squirt of the dispenser equated to the first time because the Life Line container offers dosages based on tsp levels per dog weight. Now, it's simple. To maintain continued freshness, I simply keep the container in the refrigerator. I then squirt the appropriate number of times over each of my dogs' meals. It's clear that my dogs' skin and coats have improved. They both have lovely, lustrous coats and skin that doesn't itch. Given that their meals now contain salmon oil, it's critical to brush your dog once or twice a week, especially if they are a long-haired breed. Your dog's fur will become more evenly oiled with just a fast brush.

great work However, a 16 OZ bottle costs almost the same at Walmart as this 8 OZ bottle. Remember that it should be refrigerated after unsealing and that its shelf life is just 30 days. Although I would prefer to get the largest size, I don't want it to spoil. My red Pit Bull rescue, who was taken into a high kill shelter due to his baldness, has benefited greatly from it. He was designated as "rescue only" and would soon be put to death. Those rescue organizations carry out amazing work. His hair loss and pink and red regions of irritation were greatly improved by the salmon oil. I'll likely always add two to three squirts to his food. Great Work! I'm really pleased with this purchase. **** Sadly, the last two bottles I bought leaked. They leaked even though they were in a sealed bag. I only got about half of it, and cleaning it up is a mess. Thankfully, the oil on the shipment box is visible. I open it outside and throw it in the trash after washing the bottle properly to get rid of the fishy scent. *****

In one month, I managed to save three stray cats who had various problems. A tuxedo cat with mange, fleas, dandruff, bald spots, and hair that came out in fistfuls several times per day for a week was the second and most severe, and the last was a dumped Maine coon with patchy, uneven fur that kept coming out in bundles. The orange tabby with dry, brittle fur that turned my dark carpet white was the first. Because I didn't think I could give these scurvy newbies liquid nutrients, I purchased these goodies. Unexpectedly, EVERYONE of them adored these snacks! The amazing part is that it changed everything by 100% in less than two weeks. The dandruff has cleared up, the tabby's hair is soft and controllable, the tuxedo cat's fur totally grew back, and he now has a wonderful gloss. He's now known as Mr. beautiful. The Maine coon's patches have grown back, he hardly sheds, and his fur has a gorgeous gloss from being moisturized. We're considering making him a show cat because of how good he looks. I really can't rave enough about these sweets. Because there were no reviews at the time I purchased them, I took a gamble, but I'm very glad I did. These are currently on auto-ship for me. The packet instructs you to feed one treat per 10 lbs of body weight each day, but I comfortably fed two snacks and discovered that it had the most noticeable immediate impact on the serious instances. If you have any of the problems I listed and are on the fence about buying these, don't be. I paid full price for these and haven't received any kind of payment for this review. I just want to support other cat moms in their decision-making as a cat mom and rescuer.

My primary veterinarian advised us to buy Antinol after determining that our cat has arthritis in its knees and hips. It costs a lot and is taken once daily in the form of a costly gel capsule resembling a fish oil capsule. We had to crack the capsule open and give it to our cat in Applaw's Mackarel Loin because he wouldn't eat it whole. The capsule's stiff outer covering makes it VERY challenging to extract the juice from the capsule. We attempted to squeeze the juice out of it after cutting it open with scissors, but it always looked like a significant amount was wasted in the process. We had to include the flavor into a reward because our cat didn't like it very much. We used it from October through December without seeing much of an improvement.A recent study claimed that EPA was more advantageous for dogs while DHA was better for cats with arthritis, according to our orthopedic veterinarian. Additionally, he was unaware about Antinol. He stated he wouldn't recommend it once I showed him the package because it didn't specify exactly how much of a percentage the cat was getting in each capsule. The Wild Caught, GMO Free Omega 3 Fish Oil for Cats, Reduces Shedding, Supports Skin, Coat, Joints, Heart, Brain, and Immune System, Highest EPA

My cat has been licking off all of his hair for the past two years, and despite the veterinarians' repeated recommendations of cortisone shots, hormone sprays, holistic diets, etc., NONE OF THEM HAVE WORKED! I can vouch for the fact that these licks work (and don't cause unpleasant stomach issues when you stop using them, unlike shots)! My cat has allowed his hair to grow back after three weeks of Licks, and he now acts friendlier and happier—almost like a brand-new cat. Anyone who is experiencing the same issue should use this product, as it is the only one that has been effective for my kitty.
There's no definitive answer to this question since every cat is different. Some cats may enjoy the taste of fish oil while others may not be as fond of it. You'll likely have to experiment a bit to see what your cat's preference is. Try adding a small amount of fish oil to your cat's food and see if they eat it. If they don't seem to enjoy it, you may want to try a different method of administering the fish oil or opt for a different supplement altogether.
There is no one definitive answer to this question as different veterinarians may have different opinions on whether or not they recommend salmon oil for cats. Some vets may believe that salmon oil can be beneficial for cats, as it is a source of omega-3 fatty acids which can help to improve skin and coat health, reduce inflammation, and support heart health. However, other vets may not recommend salmon oil for cats as it is a potential allergen for some cats and can also cause gastrointestinal upset. Ultimately, it is important to speak with your veterinarian to get their specific recommendation on whether or not
There's no definitive answer to this question since there's no scientific evidence to support or refute the claim that fish oil helps with cat shedding. However, some pet owners report that giving their cats fish oil supplements has reduced their shedding, so it's worth trying if you're looking for a natural way to reduce the amount of hair your cat sheds. Adding fish oil to your cat's diet is also a good way to boost their overall health, so it's a win-win!
There is some evidence that fish oil may help with hairballs in cats. One study showed that a fish oil supplement reduced the number of hairballs in cats by 50%. However, more research is needed to confirm these results.
Fish oil is a dietary supplement made from the oils of certain types of fish. It is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which are beneficial to human health but can also have some side effects. The most common side effect of fish oil is indigestion, which can cause nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Fish oil can also cause bleaching of the skin and nails, and it can interact with certain medications. If you are considering taking fish oil, talk to your doctor first to make sure it is safe for you.
If you want to give your cat fish oil capsules, it's actually quite easy. The first thing you need to do is get some fish oil capsules from your local pharmacy or health food store. Once you have the capsules, you'll need to open them up and pour the oil into a small bowl. Next, take your cat's favorite treat and put a small amount of the fish oil on it. Finally, give your cat the treat and watch them enjoy the benefits of the fish oil!
