There are a lot of different opinions out there about whether or not canned refried beans are good for you. Some people say that they're a healthy and convenient option, while others argue that the canning process destroys many of the nutrients. Personally, I think that canned refried beans can be a part of a healthy diet if you're careful about choosing a brand that uses healthy ingredients. Look for brands that use non-GMO ingredients and don't add a lot of salt or sugar. If you're worried about the canning process, you can also find brands that sell

Finding this is quite difficult. My husband truly adores the chili I make with this product, and it's incredibly easy to make! All of our guests complimented the chili I served at the dinner I made it for and asked for my "recipe." It used to be simple for me to get it at my preferred supermarket or food store. They don't have it anymore! So depressing. Finding it on Amazon made me pleased and excited, so I bought a case. I'm worried that the Bush Company no longer makes it. I wholeheartedly suggest this product if you can locate it. The only ingredients you need to add are hamburger, canned tomatoes, and sliced onion (if you so want). Next, simmer. It's fantastic!

You'll need to add something if you want it to be hot, but I mean it in a good manner. The flavor of the green chile really enhances this. I really like Amy's refried beans especially the light sodium variety. but my fave is this. I was first a little let down that it didn't have more kick (after about three bites). However, when I noticed that I had already scraped the bottom of the bowl, I recognized how exquisite the green chile taste had been added while avoiding heartburn or any other negative side effects. Picante or Louisiana Petes hot sauce can be used if you want more heat, though both would likely overpower the flavor of the green chiles. My recommendation is to just leave this alone so you can enjoy the flavor/enhancement of green chiles without having to subsequently complain.

poor quality, but the contents are fine. These were apparently discounted by Whole Foods before being listed for sale on Amazon. Given that Prime Pantry offers free shipping, which represents a significant time and transportation cost savings, I suppose I shouldn't complain.I would buy the beans again because they are amazing. But before eating, I always reheat things from cans. (Even with the dented cans, I have never observed any spoiling.)

I believe the best canned refried beans are produced by Old El Paso. Although I can make it better from scratch, making it in bulk and freezing it is not the same. The texture is negatively impacted by freezing. Except for the fact that the bulk price is somewhat higher, there is little to distinguish the vegetarian OEP from the "regular" form (which is not strictly vegan). I don't believe the problem is production costs; rather, I believe there is insufficient demand from Amazon customers for the vegetarian option. The fact that the traditional beans are cooked with manteca (lard), which is bad for people who have heart disease or other conditions related to cholesterol, contributes to their excellent flavor. Someone, someone, needs to charge fairly for the vegetarian version on Amazon.

These refried beans were purchased from Prime Pantry. We don't frequently purchase refried beans, so I bought both this and the standard kind to test which one we like best. The regular recipe is prepared in lard, though I didn't pay much attention to the components. Although they are savory, creamy, and delicious, we will probably purchase this vegetarian version in the future.Although we tried them on various evenings, we didn't think the flavors were all that different. Undoubtedly, the standard version is creamier. Although this one is more flavorful, it doesn't really alter if you mix it with rice or use it as a dip (in our opinions). The nutritional information is reasonably accurate, however it's worth noting that the overall amount of servings per can varies by a half cup (both 1 lb cans but you get a half cup more in the vegetarian version).I've uploaded some images so you can view the nutritional information and components for the two. Smile. I hope this was useful.

The same excellent product was available for a much better price, but the delivery arrangement was ridiculous. 12 cans total, 3 in each of the four boxes. Air cushions were placed inside boxes big enough to contain 24 cans in order to fill the empty area. Please flag that shipping department team for corrective instruction, Mr. Bezos.

The absolute best refried beans ever! Since I have been consuming this brand for years, I heartily endorse them. fantastic flavor I exclusively buy Taco Bell brand products. I spread this can of refried beans into a glass pie pan, microwave it for two minutes, stir in some salsa and cheese (either Mexican or mozzarella), microwave it for one more minute, and then spread the mixture over a tortilla for a quick meal. Eat while rolling up. However, avoid heating the tortilla. Reheat the bean mixture only. Utilize the tortilla right away from the bag! The tortilla will always be soft in this way. It is a protein-rich supper that can be prepared in only three minutes. Just before rolling it up, you can add some tostito or dorito chips that have been crunched up if you want to give it a little crunch. It somewhat increases the crunch aspect of your bean roll-up. This is a quick, simple, and delicious lunch that can even be prepared and eaten in the vehicle when you're rushing about. You'll be pleasantly surprised, I believe, by how delicious this quick, high-protein lunch actually is. And how simple is this convenient dinner after a long day at work. These cans of beans and a bag of tortillas should always be available. When I buy a second bag of tortillas, I normally keep one in the freezer so that I can pull it out when the one in the cabinet runs out. Because I believe that would destroy them, I never put my tortillas in the refrigerator. I prefer my tortillas to be soft and malleable straight from the bag. I sincerely hope you enjoy this lunch as much as I do!
There's no need to add milk to canned refried beans. The beans are already cooked, so all you need to do is heat them up. If you want to thin them out, you can add a little water.
Canned refried beans typically do not require the addition of water, as they are already cooked and soft. However, if the beans seem too thick or dry, you can add a small amount of water to them. Start with 1/4 cup of water and add more as needed.
There's no need to drain refried beans before using them in a recipe. However, if you find that your beans are too thick, you can thin them out by adding a little water, broth, or tomato sauce.
There's no need to heat up refried beans before serving them. If you want, you can warm them slightly, but it's not necessary. Refried beans are typically made with pinto beans, and they're cooked until they're soft and mashed. Then, they're fried in oil or lard until they're smooth and creamy.
There are a few things you can do to make store-bought refried beans better. First, you can add some chopped onions and garlic to the beans and fry them together. This will give the beans more flavor. Second, you can add some cumin and chili powder to the beans and fry them together. This will give the beans a little bit of a kick. Lastly, you can add some cheese to the beans and fry them together. This will make the beans more cheesy and delicious.
To make La Costena refried pinto beans, first soak the beans in water for 8 hours or overnight. Then, drain the beans and place them in a pot with fresh water. Bring the beans to a boil and cook for 1-2 hours, or until soft. Once cooked, drain the beans and place them in a food processor or blender. Add La Costena refried beans seasoning and blend until smooth. Serve the beans warm with tortillas or chips. Enjoy!
