Yes, fruit can be canned without sugar. This can be done by using a sugar-free recipe or by omitting the sugar from a recipe that calls for it. When canning fruit without sugar, be sure to use a recipe that is designed for canning and that includes acid in the ingredients list, such as lemon juice or vinegar.
Papayas are a tropical fruit and are therefore only available year-round in tropical climates. In the United States, papayas are typically available from April through September.
Yes, you can get canned papaya. You can find it in most grocery stores in the canned fruit aisle.

My first cup of papaya leaf tea was just finished. I have a tiny tea brewer with a screen to keep the leaves and the actual tea separate. O.K. Two tablespoons of leaves were added to a sizable cup of hot water. It is sour. even with a little lemon and agave for sweetening. To increase my platelet level, I'm going to drink it twice everyday. My platelets are 85 because my liver is damaged. My doctor claims this is my "new normal" and that it won't change. My target weight is 150 pounds, which would be below average. After reading previous evaluations, I am quite motivated and optimistic that I will achieve many of the same outcomes. This tea might taste better if you combine it with some fruit-flavored tea, like peach. I'm going to give it a fair opportunity in either case. Before my subsequent blood test, I have one month. If that works, I'll be thrilled. I'll update you later!

Prayers, dietary changes, and papaya leaf extract in our situation equal a miracle. When my husband had an adverse reaction to Sudafed that I had given him the previous evening due to sinus and chest congestion, I discovered that he had a significant growth on his (left) side neck, in the throat area growing into his windpipe, across the top of his chest, and beginning up his other (right) side neck.He had trouble breathing the following morning when he woke up, so we went to the emergency room. A scan revealed a growth, and further scoping revealed that it was hanging over his windpipe, so they determined that immediate surgery was required.I began asking everyone I knew to pray for him because it progressed from this growth to something bigger than they anticipated. He had to wait three days to receive a biopsy, which was performed using a needle. He was then informed that the tumor was too large to be operated on immediately because doing so would result in him losing his voice box and other complications. After four days in the hospital, the swelling had subsided enough for him to be able to breathe normally and swallow. We would then be able to examine the results of the biopsy, and we could see what could be done and how they would approach it. With his consent, I immediately changed the way he was eating. For the next two weeks and beyond, I avoided all cookies, breads, sweets, dairy, and eggs. I also made green drinks with wheat grass, spinach, turmeric, ginger, garlic, papaya, papaya seeds, papaya leaf extract, flax seeds, chia seeds, ACV, and occasionally strawberries and blueberries. He consumed a lot of low-sugar fruits and vegetables, and I gave him papaya leaf extract three times a day in addition to Dr. Christopher's Blood Stream Formula and the Liver Gallbladder Formula. When we got back, we saw that God had healed him. Thanks be to our Great God, who provides us with wonderful things.

In Kauai, I gave this a go for the first time. I've tried it in a lot of eateries and I'm in love! We quickly ran out of these packets, which I found on the island and took home in small quantities. I'm so glad I came across this on Amazon. I don't even mind the higher prices because the quality is so amazing. I won't need to restock when I return because it will keep me full until my subsequent vacation to Kauai.

My morning porridge now has a small amount of freeze-dried papayas, which greatly aids in digestion. It has a pretty mild flavour, therefore for a more enjoyable cereal experience, I would suggest mixing it with freeze-dried blueberries or other fruits with stronger flavours.

These salad dressings, along with a Maui Sweet Onion dressing, are produced by a tiny business in Kauai called Kauai Kookie. On our yearly visit, we purchase a number of bottles and bring them home. I got it directly from Kauai Kookie for $4.19 each bottle because this particular listing does not specify how many bottles are included for $17.50 and the vendor does not reply to emails.

Update 1/19/12: PBA-FREE cans of Native Forest organic canned fruit are now available! I adore their organic papaya that is packed in pineapple juice since it has a fantastic flavor. I've now opened six cans, and each one has had really high-quality papaya chunks so far with no mushy overripe or green peel. If you use Subscribe and Save, Amazon's price is now the lowest I could find. I really appreciate Amazon's Subscribe and Save program because it allows you to modify shipment dates, cancel at any time, and cancel if you aren't ready for a refill. You may also cancel after just one order and still get the low Subscribe and Save price. Bravo, Amazon. When I saw these organic papaya chunks on Amazon, I was delighted. Papaya has a nice flavor and functions as an excellent digestive aid and acid-reducer. However, it can be difficult to get fresh organic ones at reasonable costs, and the "fresh" season is just a few weeks long. Therefore, we decided to get a bundle of these from Amazon. Pack price Subscribe and Save on Amazon was a great deal. My wife asked, "By the way, did you check with the manufacturer to see if the cans are PBA-free?" after I had placed the purchase and it was in the shipping process. Duhhh! Toxins like PBA in our food are something we aim to avoid at all costs. And I was aware that the majority of canned foods came from cans lined with PBA, and that recent studies had shown that the PBA leached into the food. I was also aware that the best food producers were switching to non-PBA cans. I must have had a serious case of brain fog. Because I completely missed the PBA question before hitting "purchase" on Amazon, I was in a state of hysterical excitement after discovering some inexpensive organic papaya. I dialed "Edward
Papaya does contain sugar, but it is not considered a high sugar fruit. A typical papaya has about 9 grams of sugar, which is about 2 grams less than a banana.
