Absolutely none of the Asafoetida/Hing powders I've used before have been as potent as this one. I had to 1. place the jar in a plastic bag in order to keep it so that the pantry would not smell. 2. Place the bag into a plastic container, and then 3. Place everything else into another plastic bag because the scent was so potent that it persisted even after being placed inside the first bag and the container! For a serving of Mung Dahl for six people, you only need a pinch of it, and the flavour lingers in your mouth and is scrumptious! It is highly advised that you use this brand of asafoetida if you use it.

The cooking instructions are the only reason I gave it a 4 star rating. The recommendations were created to be straightforward rather than to enhance flavor and taste. When I originally followed the instructions, the results were ok but not up to par with a restaurant. It had to be the instructions and ingredients because I knew the spices were wonderful and smelled great. So, after modifying the recipe a total of four times while preparing this, I finally nailed it.I first season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper before baking them. I can tell when they are done (165) when they are wet, soft, and juicy. (Place them in a cool place)I prepare the sauce according to the instructions on the packet, but I also add a few ingredients:Threads of saffron, 1 capsule (6 servings)Coconut milk, 1/2 cup, is added to the tomato sauce.Lightly whisk it before adding the heavy cream, being careful not to turn it into whip cream! merely enough to give it a creamy, silky texture. To add to the sauce, chop the breasts into the necessary size.Others include ground cashews or almonds.Enjoy!

The flavor met all of my expectations. My only complaint is that it was nearly impossible to read the ingredients (probably size 2 font). This is significant to me because I try not to consume added sugar. (It doesn't seem to contain sugar.) I noticed that the label stated "no salt added" as I was looking at the ingredients. When I was able to understand the ingredient list, salt was the first item listed.

An organic blend of flavorful spices for making authentic Indian Tandoori dishes
Certified Organic, Kosher
Non-Irradiated

I must first be honest and admit that I have no idea what tandoori masala should taste like. I purchased this because I required it for a brand-new (to me) meal I was cooking. I gave this product five stars since the dish was excellent. Because it doesn't include salt, I gave it an extra star even though I may have given it four stars before I was more familiar with other brands. I don't want to oversalt my food because I like to add salt as I see fit. I failed to note that the seasoning should be pan-roasted before being combined with the other components for more authentic flavor. Next time, I'll give that a shot.

At the age of 54, Jiva turmeric has helped me regain a regular menstrual cycle, remove menopausal symptoms, and ease severe arthritis pain better than pharmaceutical painkillers. Other products that I tested didn't work nearly as well as Jiva, if at all. Compared to other brands I've tried, I think the Jiva brand is significantly more potent and operates swiftly and efficiently. I add a spoonful to a cup of whole milk yoghurt along with a mashed garlic clove. It's very incredible.

I'm an elderly woman from a little town, therefore I've had to forgo some ingredients and other things since I try to stay away from bigger places where there is more diversity. One of the best things about Amazon, or any online retailer, is that you can shop from the convenience of your home or other location!I didn't realize how tasty and useful this flavoring is, but I don't want to live without it any longer! It can be used in a variety of cuisines, both savory and sweet. I first used it in dishes that specifically called for it, but I've been experimenting with it in an increasing number of items because I love the flavor so much! Try it with Greek yogurt, Nice Cream, scrambled eggs, waffle batter, or just enjoy it on its own!

I just finished the last of my previous container of tamarind paste, which I purchased about five years ago. Tamicon Tamarind Paste - 7 oz. In the end, it dried up. It can be added during cooking and won't go sour like lemon juice, according to the woman who taught me how to cook Indian food. I stayed with the same brand because I previously purchased it. I didn't have to travel more than half way across a sizable metropolis to obtain it, and the pricing was fair.

Concentrated tamarind used in many Indian dishes

The key component in making pad Thai taste the way it does is tamarind. Watch your recipes if you're making Pad Thai at home! When you don't require much, some of them will need a large amount of tamarind concentrate paste. The fact that many individuals duplicate other people's content—including recipes—without actually generating it themselves is one of the realities of living in an age where the internet is ubiquitous. And what happens if a single recipe is written incorrectly? It will be imitated and catch on because of this. A terrible recipe will be replicated everywhere.I'm letting you know about this because I found two recipes for Shrimp Pad Thai that didn't come out well. There was too much Tamarind concentrate requested. When I was preparing it, some sites recommended using one or two tablespoons, while others advised using 1/4 to 1/3 of a cup. I had to throw out my first batch of Pad Thai since the flavor was too intense. Had I (instinctively) merely mixed in half the recommended quantity of Pad Thai sauce with the noodles in my second batch, which I immediately made after, the dish would have likely been spoiled as well. You may argue, "blame the cook," but no—these were merely terribly inadequate recipes from cooks who most likely just copied and pasted text. The amount of tamarind in this bottle is substantial (presumably for use in restaurants), and I would prefer a 4 oz. or smaller size as you don't need that much. When utilizing this tamarind concentrate, make sure you have a nice recipe in mind. Recommended.* My recipe has been updated; medium difficulty.PAD THAI RECIPE FOR TWO FROM BENJAMIN BANNISTERIngredients: 7 oz. of Thai Kitchen Stir-Fried Rice Noodles (half of the package), 2 teaspoons of tamarind paste.Chicken, shrimp, or beef, 1/2 lb; 1 tablespoon peanut oil (four times); 1/3 cup honey; and 3 tablespoons fish sauce.• 3 eggs • 3 garlic cloves, minced • 4-5 scallions (also known as green onions) chopped • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro • 2 limes, quartered — 2 tablespoons rice vinegar • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes, or to tasteDIRECTIONS: 1. THE NOODLES• Place the rice noodles in a big bowl and cover with boiling water. Noodles should be just tender after sitting for 5 to 10 minutes. Check every few minutes to make sure they don't become too soft.• After draining, add 1 tablespoon of peanut oil to prevent sticking. Place aside.2) PEANUTS: You can skip the sautéing stage. You can eat regular peanuts.• Heat 1 tablespoon of peanut oil in a small saucepan on medium.• Stirring occasionally, add the 1/4 cup chopped peanuts and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. In a bowl, set aside.3) THE SAUCE: Feel free to experiment with the ratios since this will yield a little bit more sauce than you need.• Reduce the heat to medium-low in the same small pot.• Mix two teaspoons of tamarind paste, three tablespoons of fish sauce, one-third cup of honey, and two tablespoons of rice vinegar in a bowl. Stir.• Pour into the pot, stirring with a spatula to get every last drop in.• Add 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes and stir.• Lower the heat to the smallest level and leave it.4) THE MEAT: Cook 1/2 lb of your preferred meat, such as shrimp, steak, or chicken.• For shrimp, adhere to the directions on the packaging.Slice the beef and chicken into 1/4-inch-thick, 1-inch-wide pieces, and cook them over medium heat until they are almost done.4.5) Heat 2 tablespoons of peanut oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.5) EGG

I'm a really daring person, and I enjoy trying new and strange flavours. Furthermore, despite what many reviews and the vendors claim, this tiny jar includes 73% wheat, I am not gluten intolerant. But I must emphasise that the flavour is STRONG! It has a very strong flavour that is reminiscent of garlic and onions but still very much its own. The flavours have several layers and are sophisticated. I've used it to great effect in homemade turkey sausage and curried deviled eggs so far, in addition to other Indian dishes. eager to experiment with it in different dishes. Even though the jar is small, just a tiny pinch is all that is necessary to leave an impression.
