Yes, navigation lights should be on when anchored. This is so other vessels will be aware of your vessel's location and avoid running into it.
The rules of navigation lights on boats are governed by the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGS). These rules state that a vessel must display a light or lights in certain positions and arrangements, depending on the vessel's size, type, and speed, so that other vessels can determine its course and intentions. For example, a vessel must display a red light on its port (left) side, a green light on its starboard (right) side, and a white light at its stern (rear). The rules also specify the intensity, color, and visibility
The three requirements for navigational light panel are power, light, and reflectors. The power requirement is necessary to provide the light source, while the light requirement ensures that the light is visible. The reflectors requirement ensures that the light is visible from different angles.
There are certain boat lights that need to be on at night in order to avoid collision with other vessels and to stay within the law. These include the stern light, which is a white light that is visible from behind the vessel, and the masthead light, which is a white light that is visible from the front and sides of the vessel. In addition, boats must also have sidelights, which are red and green lights that are visible from the side of the vessel, and a bow light, which is a white light that is visible from the front of the vessel.

These lights, which I just installed but which appear to be much better than the prior leds I purchased from Amazon, are actually Incase's in flexible transparent plastic housing, but it is difficult to tell from the photographs. The old ones actually developed a crack and stopped functioning after the crack; they were also a flexible strip, but I believe the rubber was pressured on the corner of my Jon boat. Even though the positive and negative wires are a heavier gauge and bothersome are rubber insulated, I think this will work wonderfully if the plastic enclosure holds up to a lot of intense sunshine. So far, I'm really satisfied with the price.

Before making a purchase, I read a few reviews on this site. The majority of the bad feedback related to the item's fragile plastic, shattering, etc.Pros:sInexpensiveVersatileUtilizes LED retrofit lamps to conserve battery-PABS plastic base with bar bracket; aluminum shaft with rivets.Diffuser/shroud for lighting, protects the bulbHardware was utilizedThere are no drawbacks because it was so inexpensive.Overview I've been applying the product more forcefully than the light was intended to, and as a result, the light has been subjected to more abuse than was typical. Despite this, neither light fixture has ever given me any trouble ( I purchased two )I firmly advise

Installing the Shoreline Marine Stern Light base and Shoreline Marine all-around light was incredibly simple. Although I haven't put the boat outside in the elements since installation, it looks fantastic and seems like it will hold up nicely. **Update**: It still looks fantastic and functions flawlessly after a year of use. My pictures demonstrate how the cover swivels to secure the pole. 6/2016

These were just put in to replace 40-year-old PERKO lights. They fitted the boat's original holes and were simple to install. They are really bright, and I appreciate the thought that they will use less power because they are LED. Only time will tell if they withstand the elements and perform dependably. When I have more time to use them throughout the upcoming season, I will update the review.

I purchased this light to replace my previous one, which had some wiring problems. It functions well, however I discovered that when I pulled the light out of the socket, the bottom black plastic connector would pop out of the metal shaft. After applying epoxy to attach it, I had no further issues.

I purchased these to swap out my boat's outdated incandescent nav lights. They were straightforward to install and plain to see.We were caught in a severe thunderstorm for almost an hour the first night we utilised them. The visibility was awful. Nevertheless, despite the bad lighting, a young couple in a tiny boat was able to spot us and came over to beg for assistance. The following day, the lights exhibited no symptoms of moisture entry despite the waves and the persistent, severe rain.

Purchase this product and provide a review of it. I received a quick response from the seller, who was very cordial and receptive to my comments. The seller provided full technical support and replaced the original product with a new one of higher quality. The vendor resolved my case to my complete satisfaction.FIRST CLASSIFICATION: The item was duly packaged and delivered on time. LED lighting functions properly. But it's significant to note that the metal cover showed oxidation within two days after installation. The product's description claims that it has an indestructible aluminum coating, but this is not the case.

These navigation lights were purchased for a small open-hull fishing boat that I own. The lights appear to be quite durable and are straightforward to install on the yacht. The lights themselves are quite bright and should be easy to see on the lake on a moonless night.Do not try to push the quick releases to separate because they feel like they do not want to because the quick releases and the light housing are made of plastic. Each vessel is different, therefore I also had to adjust my bow light so that it would be pointed straight front. With these lights, I'm happy. They seem like a reasonably priced device that will keep you legal and might make you safe if running at night or while moored. I suggest them.

Simple to assemble, high-quality materials, dazzling lights I utilized three pieces of PVC pipe to mount the front light higher than the enclosed clamps would have allowed. To acquire the height I needed, I cut a piece of tube, removed the top of the T, fastened the cap to the prow, and zip-tied the light to it.If you choose to utilize the clamps, they are sturdy, and the lights screw onto them. They also have rapid releases. Clamps weren't used by me. Overall, a fair deal for what I needed, and installation was simple enough.

(Update: The vendor got in touch with me, changed all the lights without charging me anything, and told me that the issue I encountered was unique. The degree of customer service they provide makes choosing to buy these or anything else from them simple. They support their offerings.)On an inflatable kayak, these lights are bright, practical, and simple to use. Sadly, they started to short and refused to turn on. When I opened one to change the batteries, the interior was completely rusted. I checked the second one, and sure enough, it was the same. When not in use, they were kept indoors and never immersed. Still, they barely lasted a month.
There are certain colors of lights that are required on a boat in order to be in compliance with the law. These colors include red, green, and white. Red and green are required to be shown on the port and starboard sides of the boat, respectively, while white is required to be shown on the stern.
When you hear two short blasts of a horn, it means that someone is passing you. You should move to the right to give them plenty of room.
A blue light on a boat can mean a few different things. Most commonly, it is used as a signal that the boat is returning to port. It can also be used to signal that the boat is in distress and needs assistance.
The meaning of a flashing white light on a boat can vary depending on the context in which it is seen. For example, if a boat is anchored, a flashing white light may indicate that it is about to leave its anchorage. In other cases, a flashing white light may be used as a distress signal.
When you see a flashing yellow light on a boat, it means that the boat is about to turn. This is a warning to other boats and to people on the shore.
The meaning of a green light on another boat can vary depending on the context, but it generally indicates that the vessel is safe to approach. In some cases, it may also indicate that the boat is friendly and willing to communicate with other boats nearby.
