A lot of people are nostalgic for the bedspreads of their childhoods—the ones with colorful patterns and fringe. And it seems like bedspreads are making a comeback! A lot of stores are selling them again, and people are buying them. They’re a great way to add a pop of color to your bedroom, and they’re cozy and comfortable. So if you’re looking for a way to add a little bit of nostalgia to your home, consider a bedspread!
The answer to this question is most likely no. Bedspreads are not as popular as they once were and people are opting for other bedding options. This is likely because bedspreads are not as necessary as they once were and they can be more difficult to clean.
A coverlet is a decorative bedspread, typically quilted, and often with fringed edges. It is generally used for decorative purposes, as opposed to providing warmth. How often you wash a coverlet depends on how often it is used. If it is used daily, it should be washed weekly. If it is used only occasionally, it can be washed every few months.
Most people believe that a bedspread should not touch the floor because it is unsanitary. However, there are some benefits to having a bedspread that does touch the floor. One benefit is that it can help to keep dust and dirt from getting on the bed. Another benefit is that it can help to keep the bed from getting cold.

I was weary of paying too much for cheap, crinkly sofa covers that don't exactly fit well. I eventually made the choice to try using anything other than a "sofa cover" to attempt and cover our three-cushioned sofa. The ideal answer is this teal, Queen-sized bedspread. It fits where I set it and doesn't move around because it is very thin—maybe 1/4" thick, soft, and flexible. We have two cats, so having a thin, washable, and long-lasting cover is wonderful. highly advisable

Because I rely so much on reviews from other people, I felt compelled to submit this review. Having said that, let me start by noting that I recently received my chenille bedspread and am completely satisfied with my purchase. When I opened the box, I grinned widely because, despite my minor trepidation when ordering it due to the reviews that discussed its size and thickness (or thinness), I knew straight away that I had made the perfect choice.(1) This bedspread actually has a vintage feel about it, just like Grammy's. Because it seemed puffy in the picture, I was a little worried. It isn't.(2) Though it is thin, it is not in a cheap way. Similar to how well-made, unlined white linen pants show through, the non-embellished portions are transparent. You're okay if you're not wearing a leopard-print thong underneath. (Ladies, you understand what I'm referring to.) You can see for yourself in one of the photos where my hand is hidden beneath the cover.(3) The fringe is gorgeous! The image gives the impression that a separate piece was stitched on. That is not the situation. As it should be, the bedspread's fringe extends beyond it.(4) I'll go into more information about the size here. According to the king spread, it is 118x120. Although I didn't measure it, you can tell if it will work for you if you look at my photos. I have a Saatva king bed that measures 76" by 80" and has a 14.5" mattress and an 8.75" foundation. My bed is around 33 " high when combined with the frame, which is 8" from the ground. (I know the math would tell you otherwise, but it is what it is.) My photos show how the king spread touches the bed frame. This is alright with me as I haven't discovered a wider spread. A bedskirt will be on its way to me. Nothing major.(5) Shams. Again, you do not need shams, as you can see in my images. You have more than enough to cover your pillows if you spread the blanket equally across the bed so that it touches the frame in the same spot on all sides. Of course, feel free to use them as accents if you choose.(6) Lint. It doesn't seem to be particularly linty, but I'm not sure what some other people are talking about. I shook it off and put it on with no problems. There may be a lot of lint in the dryer after washing. We shall see. Since my hunt for a good, affordable bedspread took more than 3 weeks, I wanted to put it on first so I could take images and inform others' decisions.I hope you found this useful. Nobody could possibly be dissatisfied with such a lovely blanket, in my opinion.

I've bought this cal king bed spread from this seller/brand twice (in a different color). My huge breed dog is not kind to the bedding. He says the stitching is quite durable. (He's just rough; he's not a nest-digging dog.)They are washed about once a week, and the colors remains vibrant (grey had 1 month and turquoise have had about 9 months).I also use it as a blanket at night. I stay warm when the house is 64 degrees or above. When utilized in a home with a temperature over 75, it is too hot.The dryer does need around two hours to dry the Cal King. With in-balling it around every 30 minutes, that is.Overall, the quality and price are superb.

I have a panel type bed that is a Queen size, with a mattress that is 12 to 14 inches thick, a box spring, and enough height for an under-the-bed bag to fit. I was very concerned that it would drape and cover the entire mattress and other items. While it doesn't quite cover the floor, it does look fantastic and does cover the beds. I had more than enough to cover and tuck in my bed, making it quite simple to make the bed each morning. The stitching is excellent in every way. a lovely leaf pattern. It is thin, and when I tried to sleep without a thinner cover underneath, it didn't quite keep me warm enough.I love that I can match it with any color of sheets or pillows I like, and the color is extremely accurate to the photo.

I found just what I was seeking for in this bedcover. It fits more like a bedspread than a comforter, is lightweight for Florida's climate, doesn't show any stains from my two little dogs, and I adore the sage colour. The only aspect of its performance in the washer and dryer I cannot vouch for. Have not yet had to wash it.

I spent a lot of time looking for a new quilt or coverlet, even buying two others that I later returned. Since I have high standards for quality, this bead spread is exquisite, and I have already had compliments on how lovely it is.I'm overjoyed with it. Despite having to buy the shams separately, I'm still giving it a five-star rating (still a great value regardless). The beige and ivory are accurate in color. If my bed weren't so high, the length would be floor length and is extremely long. On both sides, the pattern and color are the same. It was great after being washed and dried on low in my gas dryer before use.If it doesn't hold up over time, I'll post again, but for that low of a price, I wouldn't think twice about it.

It's very lovely! The Full/Queen drags on the floor more than it does in the pictures, which I personally enjoy but some of you might not. I have a low platform queen bed. It's flexible (not at all rigid), pleasant, and toasty despite being really light. When I first opened it, it smelled like plastic, so I washed it right away. Despite having a lot of fuzzies, it held up nicely. The needlework is exquisite! The white will complement many appearances because it is not glaringly white. I'm overjoyed with this purchase and would definitely make another one!

The evergreen I bought matches the photo exactly in terms of color. It is definitely long enough on the sides, despite my initial concerns. Although it doesn't reach the floor, it is long enough to eliminate the need for a bed skirt. The lower box spring and a king-sized pillowtop mattress are mine. I'm not sure if you can do without a bed skirt if you chose the larger box spring to make your bed taller.
There are many types of bedspreads available on the market today. The most common type is the comforter, which is a thick, quilted blanket that is typically filled with down or synthetic fibers. A duvet is another type of bedspread that is similar to a comforter, but it has a removable cover that can be washed. Bedspreads can also be quilts, which are layers of fabric that are stitched together and typically filled with down or cotton batting.
A coverlet is a decorative piece of fabric that is typically used as a bedspread or a bedding layer. It is often quilted or otherwise decorated. A coverlet can be used on its own or as an added layer of warmth and decoration. When choosing what to put under a coverlet, consider the climate in which it will be used and the desired level of warmth. A coverlet can be layered over a comforter, blankets, sheets, or even another coverlet.
A bedspread is a piece of cloth that is used to cover a bed. It is usually made of a thick, quilted fabric and is used to keep the person sleeping on the bed warm.
A thick bedspread is called a comforter. Comforters are usually filled with down, feathers, wool, or a synthetic fiber such as polyester. They are used to keep people warm in beds.
A thin bedspread is called a coverlet. A coverlet is a decorative fabric covering that is used to cover a bed or other piece of furniture. It is usually quilted or padded, and often has a decorative border.
The blanket at the end of the bed is called a comforter. Comforters are typically filled with down or synthetic fibers and are used to keep people warm while they sleep.
