These were more of a novelty purchase for me, but they make excellent coasters! So many coasters I've purchased in the past don't absorb, which is what a coaster is supposed to do! These are so adorable. I was unable to find any in stores that I liked, weren't absurdly heavy, or had a backing to prevent them from scratching my surfaces. These are stable and feature a cork back to preserve the furniture. They may perhaps be my favourite coasters to date. These coasters are both adorable and useful. They fulfill their duty of preventing surfaces from table rings brought on by "sweating" glasses while taking up very little room (for storage purposes). The non-slip rubber on the bottoms, which also prevents surface damage and keeps them firmly in place, is another feature I enjoy. The "tracks" on the albums have lovely names. I'm delighted I bought these and would suggest these to anyone.REVISION: Liquid can leak through the little hole in the center. I can probably find a solution to that. Regardless, I still adore them.

These coasters were a gift for my parents, who had just renovated their kitchen. I was happy to notice that the marble coasters perfectly complemented the new marble in their kitchen when we opened the package. Since I've never used leather coasters before, I was concerned that they could stain. However, after using them five or six times, we can attest that they are quite sturdy and do not show any stains even after a sweaty cup has been placed on them. The colors on the coasters are fantastic, and they are not fading. The only issue I could find is that because of the texture of the leather, they are not as hard as your "average" coaster.

These function well and look fantastic on my hammered silver bedside tables. Surfaces won't be scratched thanks to the felt that is attached to the bottom.
