Given the cost, I was astonished with the fabric quality. These curtains have a luxurious, velvety texture. When they are tied up, their good weight results in a good drape. Speaking of the ties, if your window is a little smaller than the length of the drape or if you have an inquisitive pet who insists on having a little space to peer out the window, they work beautifully. We can tie these up so that our cat can climb up and look out without much of a disturbance to the curtain, but we still maintain our privacy. Although neutral, the colors and pattern are intriguing. The identical pattern eventually appeared in several hues, one for each floor of my house. Everyone who sees them complements me on them.

I was overjoyed with these curtains when I first received them. They are beautifully built and the cloth is quite soft and sturdy.My issue arose when I attempted to tie them up as shown in the advertisement. The challenging aspect was trying to make them look like they should rather than actually "tying them up." I worked on them for two hours, spending more time than I ever wanted to on curtains, yet I'm still not entirely happy with how they ended out. Although hanging them without the tie-ups is an option, I wanted light to enter during the day and didn't want to continually opening and shutting them. One issue is that they don't come with instructions on how to get the tied-up look. They do offer to send a professional to your house to hang them, but it will cost you $200, which is beyond my means. Therefore, if you're good at this kind of stuff, the curtains themselves are really lovely.

The sunshine is effectively blocked from entering our baby's room by this shade. Due to the type of curtain rod we are using, there is still some light leaking through the sides, however the shade is not to blame for this. Although we had intended to obtain the shade in white to better match the baby blue walls and white doors, trimmings, and furniture in our baby's room, we decided to buy the shade in black instead because we were concerned that the lighter shade would not do as well at blocking out light. I believe we made the best decision. Better than we had anticipated, the dark hue looks good. It almost appears custom-made because it fits our window frame exactly both horizontally and vertically. It is quite simple to clean because it can be dried in the dryer after being washed in a washing machine.Our primary gripes are as follows: (1) Tying up the shades throughout the day is a hassle. Level if you do not take great care to make it appear attractive by neatly tying up the bows and carefully arranging the tied-up shade to even it out and smooth it out, the ties can still be challenging to tie up when you are pressed for time and have only two hands. (2) Because the ties only extend about two-thirds of the way up the shade, the room is darker than you would like it to be during the day because the shade blocks almost half of the window. The shade we received does not match the picture's depiction of the ties, which are supposed to extend about three-quarters of the way up the window.Overall, we would suggest this color. The primary objective of the shade is to effectively block out sunlight in the early morning and late afternoon, especially during the non-winter months.

This curtain has so far worked well for the small window in our baby's room. We are amazed with the thickness and softness of the cloth and enjoy how the gray hue looks almost exactly like it does in the picture. With an Ikea curtain rod, installation was quite simple. It's also good that it doesn't block the wind completely because we need the breeze, so it would have been a deal breaker for us.Only two minor issues bother me. In a few places, there are tiny holes the size of pinholes. They don't truly let in light, but a perfectionist might find them bothersome. Second, the blackout is only about 90% if the sun is directly on the curtain. This is acceptable to us because the window is covered with a Hunter Douglass treatment. The majority of the time, even in direct sunlight, we get just about a 95% reduction (this is all subjective), and when it's cloudy at all or when the light is indirect, it's 100%. This is really only a problem on very bright days.

Very nice drapes! In order to be ready for the birth of his newborn girl cousin, I've been given "permission" by my 4-year-old grandson to make a few changes in his room at my house, and these are great!
