He might just be anticipating the replacement, either since the one that was replaced was in such bad shape or because of that.No other online competitors can match the pricing that Amazon is offering. This part costs $35.00 at the Toyota dealership, plus tax and shipping if you aren't lucky enough to be able to visit the store in person. Not to mention, none of the three dealerships I called even had the component in stock; they would need to order it. Toyota package, prompt shipping, and part number. This gasket/sealing portion slides down over the top of the antenna for a good fit and simple installation. the same as the original fit my 2008 Sienna (which had dry rotted). A little bit of soapy water is helpful. As you slip the rubber gasket into position over the antenna, make sure to push in and around so that the inner and outside portions go where they should. When completely lowered, it will snap into place. The top antenna shaft was unscrewed during installation and then screwed back in after the gasket was applied. I made sure it would fit over the antenna and discovered that the shaft didn't need to be removed. It was simpler to be in a position where I could see the metal and rubber interacting as I slid the shaft into place since I had already removed the shaft.

bought my own in March 2019. For those of you who enjoy the item but are unhappy with how well it has been received (including not receiving song info.) I apologize, but I must inquire as to why your antenna was 85% shorter and the copper winding you may have noticed on your original antenna was removed. What did you anticipate would occur? By itself, shortening it will reduce range. Having said that, it delivers on the personalized and stylish factor for which I purchased it. The quality is outstanding! Given that it is a made in America product supporting the military, the price is reasonable. I reside in the highlands of Southeast Tennessee. When it comes to range, I can typically pick up my favorite radio station while driving almost as well as with my factory antenna - once more. Mountains would destroy any antenna, but considering how short it is, I am astonished by how far I CAN receive. In terms of how I utilize and listen to the FM radio on my stereo, I have not noticed any degradation. Regarding the song ID. I still hear it when I'm closer to the town center, so it's possible that both the radio station you listen to sacrifices distance for that part of the broadcast in order to get the audio element of their signal farther out AND you've limited your range with a shorty antenna. VERDICT: Get it if you want the cool factor and you don't spend most of your time traveling in the middle of nowhere. Unless you listen to XM or your own music from a personal device, in which case it doesn't really matter.

While some people had little trouble installation, I had a rather difficult time getting mine to snap into place (which is good).the long, 3/8 "Drive socket—you don't need the ratchet, just the socket.Keep the antenna where it is.Slide the "long end" of the new rubber ornament into the opening and place it over the antenna.After applying your lubricant (I used detailing spray, but virtually any solvent safe for paint will work), slide the 3/8 "socket placed above the antenna. (Take care not to harm your antenna's paint here.)Apply pressure with the socket after making sure the front/long end is in the proper position in the opening.This should give you the leverage you need to secure the ornament's edges completely.

The item arrived just as promised. My 2007 Toyota Sienna XLE Limited fits perfectly.Had a sticky, melted hatch cover before placing this order. Every time you manually opened the hatch, your fingers would come away soiled and black. My wife had been berating me over it for more than nine months. So I bought it and researched previous reviews about how to take off the old cover.Let me tell you, it was absolutely necessary to use a small plastic spudger stick to scrape out all of the tiny cracks in the old cover rubber. was initially used GOO GONE. Then understood that this was only going to spread more far and smear clean areas more. I spent nearly an hour trying to clean it before realizing the melted rubber had a viscosity more akin to asphalt. I had an idea after going swimming in the ocean lately in Carpinteria, California, where tar is all over the beach and you can't leave the water without getting tar spots stuck someplace on your legs or feet. DW-40It came off SO FAST when I sprayed some DW-40 on the lock casing and used some cloths. I finished in exactly 20 minutes. Remove the old rubber cover from the switch cover. I used the preexisting screws to install the new one when it popped on.Good-looking and comfortable rubber. Hatch release now functions a lot better.

My two packages of twin spiral antennas for my HD Ultra arrived. I eventually snagged one of the antennae in the garage door, shattering the original, after riding touring cycles since 1999. I no longer have to avoid the antennas when I walk by the bike or take off my tour luggage from the rack on the trunk thanks to my purchase of the 7" product. Although it might not be true, I believe that the reception is better. Unless I'm traveling in a group, I never use the CB when riding a motorcycle, and even then, it's only occasionally given the prevalence of cellphones. I don't worry about poking my eye out or accidentally popping someone if they are directly behind me as I walk by because the quality and service are good. Also excellent was the pricing!
