While a dual extruder 3D printer may be slightly more expensive than a single extruder model, there are several advantages to using two extruders. With dual extrusion, you can print with two different materials or colors at the same time. This can be useful for creating products with multiple colors or for creating products with one color on the inside and another color on the outside. Additionally, dual extrusion can be used to print products with two different materials. For example, you could print a product with a hard plastic on the outside and a soft plastic on the inside.
If you frequently print with multiple colors or materials, then a dual extruder 3D printer is definitely worth the investment. Not only will you be able to print with two colors or materials at the same time, but you'll also be able to print supports in water-soluble filament while printing the model in a different filament. This can save you a lot of time and hassle when it comes to post-processing.
It is possible to run a 3D printer for too long, but it is not common. If a 3D printer is left on for too long, it can overheat and cause damage to the machine. It is important to keep an eye on the progress of your print and to turn the machine off when it is finished.
A filament extruder is a machine that melts down plastic pellets and extrudes them through a small die to create very thin strands of plastic, which are then wound onto a spool. The pellets are fed into the extruder via a hopper, and are melted down by a heater inside the extruder barrel. As the molten plastic is forced through the die, it is cooled by a water-cooled jacket around the barrel, and emerges as a thin strand of plastic.

Something became stuck and clogged the works during a filament change. No filament was extruding, and the little cleaner that resembled a needle was unable to even enter the nozzle's end. I had to take it off in order to clean it. Since it is brass, I quickly discovered that I needed to round off the sides of my current nozzle. I was able to remove my original nozzle after working for a good hour. But now it was broken as well as blocked. Thank goodness I had already purchased this package. Everything is arranged, and the size of the nozzles is printed on the side. I quickly replaced a new nozzle and was able to resume printing. Wonderful tiny kit!

This nozzles appear to print effectively. The thread diameter (measured at the peaks) is only slightly less than the one that came with my Ender 3 Pro, which is the only issue. As a result, plastic drips all over the outside. Given that their profiles and appearances in the photos varied, I should have anticipated this. I'm truly sorry. I'll give them a test run with some Teflon tape to see how they perform.

There are never enough nozzles! I detest wasting time using needles to unclog clogs only to have it happen again on the following print. Toss the nozzle in the trash and get a new one, please. I'll be buying more when I start running low again because they work perfectly and the print looks great.

On my CR-10S, I mounted this slick little bowden tube. On my initial test print, my layers were inconsistent and I was obviously skipping stages. Following more investigation, I made the decision to try re-routing the path to my hot end so that there wouldn't be any sharp bends in the tube. To do this, I cut the path free from the wire harness and carefully re-taped it to the harness. I've had no problems since, and this immediately fixed the issue. I was able to retract only a millimeter less. Although I haven't seen much of an improvement in the print quality with the human eye, a USB microscope examination of the individual layers revealed a definite smoothness and more uniform layer transition. Does it merit it? Of course, I like things to be as nice as they can be for me, and there is a difference, albeit a small one. If there is any difference at all on a poorly tuned printer, I'm not sure how much there is.

I bought these because BIBO said MK8 type nozzles would fit, and I wanted to try printing with larger Inner Diameter nozzles. These nozzles fit the hot end even though they are physically smaller than the 0.4 mm nozzles that came with my BIBO. I'm now using 0.8 mm nozzles to print some large, rough prints because I didn't want to let the BIBO operate on its stock 0.4 mm nozzles for more than a day. In the future, I might experiment with 0.6 mm nozzles or switch back to 0.4 mm one nozzle at a time, using one nozzle for finer details and a larger ID nozzle to speed up printing of broad, rough portions of prints.Given the range of nozzles included in this set, it's convenient to have those options. Again, I've only used 0.8 mm nozzles here, but I haven't experienced any print cleanliness issues with them, nor have I experienced any difficulties with filament leaking from the nozzles' threads.

I experienced a variety of issues, but I finally reduced it down to either proto pasta not working well with my Cr-10 Mini or a nozzle issue. As a quick remedy, I got one of these nozzles and installed it, and all of my issues disappeared right away. As a result of the low cost of the modification, I will continue printing while cleaning the heat break throat and replacing nozzles as needed. I'll definitely place another purchase when the supply runs out! Since they are all identical, the quality appears to be good.

The complete geared drives I have are far less troublesome and work better than stock. With my fully geared drives, changing the filament took a lot of time and effort, but this drive only has two drive gears and loads effortlessly. The drive is a tiny bit smaller than stock, therefore you need to modify the e-steps. Being somewhat smaller in diameter is advantageous because it imparts some torque to the printer, assisting in the movement of the filament. I had to alter the extruder e-steps from 100 to 139 because I have a CR-10 S4. Now that Creality has posted the firmware on their website, updating the firmware was quite simple. Change the 100 to 139 on line 589 of the configuration file, then upload the file to the printer. As soon as I observed that applying pressure to the x-axis track was throwing the two z-axis motors and rods out of sync, I also transferred the extruder from the printer frame to the control box. Although some people have criticized the drive's conclusion, all three of the drives I received were excellent. Currently using them on a Tevo and a Creality. However, it did come with all the necessary screws, and the yellow/orange spring does fit perfectly on mine. There are no instructions, however. I did need to add some loctite to the stepper gear's set screw. There is only one set screw in the gear, and it tends to back out every several hours or so due to its short length. Very pleased thus far with them.

I purchased these so I would have some extras and a little variation in case I wanted to try something new. I've only used the.4mm ones so far, but they appear to function on my Ender 3 just as well as the originals did. Since they are a little bit longer than the originals, I did need to change the bed height to achieve the right clearance, but that comes as standard whenever you modify the hot end. At this price, it was simpler to simply replace the jammed original than to attempt to clear it. Although I also thought one of these had stuck and had to be replaced, it turned out to be an issue with the extruder, suggesting that it probably wasn't actually jammed. I'll probably put it back in at some time and give it another shot. I'm forward to soon test some of the other sizes as well.

These seem to be more resistant to damage than the ones that came with the Ender 3... Just my own experience thus far with regards to glass-bed crashes caused by incorrect Z height adjustment. The factory-made ones seem to malfunction more frequently or deviate somewhat from specifications, requiring extensive troubleshooting just to be resolved by changing the tip. :-[
3D printer extruders are designed to last for a long time. However, the length of time they last will depend on how often they are used and how well they are maintained. It is important to keep the extruder clean and free of debris to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
PLA is a biodegradable plastic made from renewable resources like corn starch. PLA prints can last a long time, especially if they are kept out of direct sunlight and heat. However, over time, PLA will break down and become brittle.
The answer to this question depends on the specific 3D printer model. Some 3D printers have a single extruder, while others have multiple extruders. The number of extruders that a 3D printer can have is ultimately determined by its design.
Extruders are machines used to process and shape materials by forcing them through a die or mold. There are many different types of extruders, each designed for a specific purpose. The most common types are screw extruders, ram extruders, and die extruders. Screw extruders are the most versatile type of extruder and can be used for a wide variety of materials and applications. They work by screwing a material through a die, which can be either cylindrical or conical in shape. Ram extruders are similar to screw extruders but use a ram
3D printers for home use are becoming increasingly popular, but they are still quite expensive. The average price for a 3D printer is around $1,000, but there are some models that can cost as much as $5,000.
PLA is cheaper than ABS because it is made from renewable resources. It is also biodegradable, so it is a more environmentally friendly option.
