On social media, I discovered a recipe for a vinegar and dawn dish soap solution to remove bathtub buildup. I was immediately motivated to try it on my dreadful tub because replacing it wasn't in the budget just yet. Amazon was my only option because this product is not available where I live. This product was not round and was packaged in a gallon jug. Since the recipe called for the name brand Heinz, which costs over $65 for 6% on Amazon, and this one had excellent reviews for $24.95 with free shipping, I chose it. I used it right away in the bathroom that has been giving me headaches ever since we moved into our house. The recipe will be posted at the end. It's vital to keep in mind that this is 30%, not the 6% that the recipe calls for, so some (perhaps a lot of) dilution is required. My eyes burned horribly, and I was still in need of a gas mask. It was very strong, so I had to get up after 30 minutes of leaving it on the tub. I did need to scrub/wipe a little, but not much, and it melted dirt that I've never been able to get off (I'm assuming hard water). I utilized what was left on the floor grout that I had spent countless hours attempting to remove with several cleaners (at one time, pure bleach and no results). In less than ten minutes, it was taken care of. I'm so impressed that I'm considering adding some to the carpet cleaner. I'll definitely use it in laundry (maybe a half cup for a heavy load), in homemade glass cleaner, and who knows what else! Years ago, I started using vinegar in my laundry to get rid of the sour smell of damp towels. If you forget and leave a load in the washing, oh no! I'll include some pictures of my tub—which isn't quite finished yet, but will be when I have more time to work on it—and the actual item I bought. When looking at the pictures, it's vital to keep in mind that we're on a well and have major problems with hard water. Even after spending hours cleaning, the results will be subpar. The first three images show the before and after, respectively.Use the same quantity of the bathtub cleanser. The recipe called for 1 cup of cleaning vinegar, which I diluted with water (the recipe called for 6%, but the product I used was 30%). I used one cup of hot tap water, one cup of 30% vinegar, and one cup of dawn. Pour warm vinegar into your 24-ounce or larger spray container (I heated in glass measuring cup for 1 min in microwave). Use a quality spray bottle—you don't want to struggle to spray because the stench is too strong. Shake the cleaning vinegar and blue Dawn together. It will be somewhat dense. Spray the tub, then let it sit for an hour. Turn on the bathroom fan and leave the door open. It will be powerful. Whenever required, pause. On my stall tub, I used practically the entire bottle. Warning: Hard water dirt increases traction. Now that my tub is quite slippery, I need to employ tub traction aids like mats or stickers.

I had never had a wart before, and after taking my poor young boy back and forth to the doctor for repeatedly freezing it off, I was reluctant to visit the doctor. When I used this to clean my Vicks Warm Air Mist Humidifier, I compared it to conventional white vinegar. I wipe the orange hard water buildup as soon as it appears. This is much different from conventional white vinegar. More than the typical time span has been eliminated. I don't have any hard water buildup, only a few spots that are discoloured. The final layer required the use of a green scrub pad, but even it wasn't removed by the additional normal vinegar. I had contemplated purchasing a new humidifier before to this.
