Like any RC person, I stop everything to take a new "item" out and give it a shot. When I opened the box, I saw that the Viper came with a cute carrying case. Awesome. My ancient goggles are simply jostled. I fly with box goggles, but all of my previous setups were put together from various parts. Finally, I made the decision to purchase a suitable system that was created for the purpose. The Viper goggles are really well constructed. The process of assembly just took a few minutes. Before leaving to fly, I read the handbook to familiarize myself with the basics of the auto search feature, channel selection, and DVR options. At first, I was disappointed and experiencing all types of breakup issues. Prior to landing, I was unaware of a few issues, which were of course all my own. The screen's orientation caused my patch antenna to be pointed far higher than it should have been. I had to move it closer to being parallel to the ground because it already points upward. I also realized my antennas were facing the wrong way. I used the wrong antenna on the adapters and have a mix of SMA and RPSMA antenna connectors. After my fixes, everything was much better.I was so hoping I wouldn't need reading glasses with the Vipers because I'm a 50 year old man, but I do. Although I could see the screen very clearly, I was unable to see any of the writing. It was everything made clear and lovely with a pair of 1.25 glasses. These do, in fact, fit glasses well. To locate the circular polarized antenna that held the strongest signal, I tried a few different ones. My Pagoda ended up being the greatest. With the patch antenna, I was able to receive a clean signal as far as I often fly this specific plane, and the patch was still displaying a signal strength of 70 or above. Oh, and I must say that information like signal strength and battery life at the top of the screen are a great advantage for me. Once I tuned in the channel, the image was more clear than it had ever been with any of my other goggles.To compare the quality of the DVR recordings with my other DVR video, I recorded a few flights. Comparing the DVR's signal to some external ones I have seen, it was generally quite good. It is the best goggle-based DVR I have ever seen. I added a screenshot I took from the DVR. The signal and DVR quality are visible because the picture was taken from the farthest location I often fly this plane to.How comfortable is it? superior to the majority of the box goggles I've tried. By using a cushioned band around your forehead, the design shifts the weight away from your face. Much improved. To get the screen angle just right to see everything, it took several tries to put them on. When tuned in, they were excellent. I even tried flying without the eye piece so I could look around. Actually, I really enjoyed that mode. Now I can easily view the FPV while still being able to see if someone is approaching me.Overall, the Viper goggles live up to my expectations. My FPV experience will now be more pleasant than it was in the past. We appreciate FXT's "beyond the box" thinking on this design.

I wasn't expecting much in the way of VR because I had an iPhone, but I was pleasantly surprised. Both the YouTube videos and the games I attempted worked. It takes some experience to enter the phone correctly, but the effort is worthwhile. There are many different types of VR, as I've discovered. In VR 1.0, everything you see is a 3D image that stays in place as your head moves. The field of view in VR 2.0, as I like to refer to it, is 180 degrees or almost so. In games, you can take a glance around and have some control over your surroundings. 360 degree video is what I mean by VR 3.0. You can get up and turn completely around. All three types of virtual reality are compatible with these glasses. I'm pleased with the outcomes so far. The change between browsing and viewing is the only drawback I've discovered. It would be convenient if the iPhone's browser supported virtual reality. To avoid ever having to remove the goggles, I'm still hunting for a nice browser.

At least 8 pairs of these sunglasses have been purchased by me. After much listening, I used my video sunglasses, the Bluetooth, and both the calls and music. Every single pair of sunglasses has the exact same drawback. The right earbuds are defective. Right earbuds quit functioning. Next time, I'll probably experiment with some different varieties.

These goggles are difficult to top for the price. They have been mine for a few months, and I've used many Whoop drones to fly them both indoors and outside. Never anticipate a picture with HD quality or detailed imagery. The internal DVR performs as well as you could anticipate for receiving wireless video of low quality. I recently spent $100 on a different brand of goggles, which were completely useless. These will work if you are new to FPV, don't want to spend $500, or want something to show onlookers so they can see how you fly.

Sincerily speaking, I did not anticipate these goggles to be as fantastic as they are! I was initially dubious about the 3" screen and clone design, but after using these, I'm blown away with the clarity and color vibrance.These eye protection devices are exceptionally lightweight and cozy to wear. The foam blocks out 95% of light, which is wonderful, and the face piece fits my head shape well.Since the "diversity" in the Eachine model is actually just two SMA coupled in a Y configuration, the single antenna on these goggles, which appear to be the same product as the VR-006 under a different brand, is not a significant loss.The menu is quite simple to use, however since channel names are not displayed, you will need to know the channel's frequency. The battery voltage of the goggles and the frequency of your signal are displayed on an internal OSD that may be turned on or off in the settings menu if you find it distracting.Overall, I'm happy with the product and think it's hard to top for the price. Although it has a smaller screen than the VR-007, it more than makes up for it with a sharper image and greater quality. These are fantastic for freestyle and tiny whoops, but I wouldn't suggest them for 5" racers because, despite being crystal clear, the image can occasionally appear far away, especially when you're approaching a 180-degree hairpin turn, making it difficult to track the gate and occasionally confusing. It's also important to note that the QC was subpar because I received a non-working unit. I was unable to see anything or the menu since the screen was entirely white. I declined Arris' offer to replace it and instead to open them up and fix it instead. I re-seated the ribbon connection from the screen to the PCB, and it turned out that it had not been connected properly. I removed the stock battery while I was there and changed the connection to use an external 18650 battery instead, so I can't speak to battery life or charging capacity. It lacks a DVR, and a Pagoda-style omnidirectional antenna should be used in its place.Despite this, it's still a fantastic choice for novice goggles or a spare set for ride-alongs!

I approximately 4 months ago bought my HDOs, and I wanted to write a review to express my thoughts. My system consists of an HDOs receiver with True D Diversity and the most recent firmware available (3.8). I was concerned about the reduced field of view after switching from Fatshark HDV2s. This is in no way problematic. In my judgment, the screens' clarity wins out. I frequently fly in low light because I have to put my kids to bed after work, and the HDOs outperform everything I've tried. When flying in close quarters, such as in trees or confined areas, you may see the approaching branches in time to escape them. With my V2s, I had trouble avoiding power lines, but with the HDOs, I can see them coming far in advance. The new battery's USB connector was another good improvement. I used to need two chargers to charge my lipos and Fatshark batteries, but I can now only use my phone charger. It performed admirably. The faceplate that was included was something else. It's the improved version of the one I bought for my V2s, so I'm relieved that I don't have to buy another or borrow one from them. The HDOs are now the best, and for me, image/video quality is the most crucial factor in this activity. Since ORCA recently went dark and there aren't any immediate plans for anything better, I believe that by getting these HDOs, I've secured the best configuration possible for the foreseeable future.

I've always loved stereo photography and 3-D movies. I started watching my large collection of 3-D movies using Google Cardboard and the free MX Player app about a year ago. I have experimented with a number of VR headgear over that time, including the original View-Master VR. I was thrilled to find lately that the View-Master team had created the View-Master Deluxe VR, a new and enhanced version. At once, I placed an Amazon order for one.For the majority of buyers, the new smartphone is a highly worthy option. It is weightless while still being substantial. Its spring-loaded system gently but firmly grasps the phone. The face hood is gentle and cozy, and it does a good job of blocking distracting outside light. One can attach earphones or headphones and listen in private thanks to an innovative and useful mini-plug jack, which was completely absent from the previous View-Master VR product. The materials are top-notch, the build is sturdy, and the design is lovely. Additionally, the packaging is really appealing. This would be a fantastic Christmas present.Now for the drawbacks. I advise you to go elsewhere if, like me, you are a passionate fan of 3-D and want to utilize the View-Master Deluxe VR to view stereoscopic movies and images.The absence of head restraints is the View-Master Deluxe VR's first and most evident design flaw. The headset's designers undoubtedly intended for it to be used for just brief periods of time and to be easily moved from one user to another. But trust me when I say that watching a 90-minute 3-D movie while wearing this large equipment to your eyes would not be comfortable. Once, I was able to pull it off by lying flat on my back, remaining completely still, and relying on gravity and balance to complete the task that my drained arms were incapable of.The lens separation of the View-Master Deluxe VR is fixed at 65 millimeters, which is another drawback. (I did the math.) It might not always be simple or comfortable to fuse stereoscopic image pairings, especially those with rather high levels of positive parallax, depending on the width of your phone's screen and the size of the images you intend to view. It helps to resize the images on the phone's screen, but doing so lowers the overall number of pixels and reduces the apparent resolution. While a fixed 65-millimeter lens separation is very appropriate and would likely serve the majority of casual users just fine, a serious 3-D fan would undoubtedly appreciate the option of a variable interocular.The fact that the lenses used for the View-Master Deluxe VR have a somewhat lengthy focal length—40 millimeters, I think I read—is a third source of disappointment. This is done to enlarge the visuals so that they take up a larger portion of the viewer's field of vision and create a more dramatic, "immersive" impression. However, a practical implication is that parts of the left and right images are completely hidden from view. The left edge of the left-eye frame and the right edge of the right-eye frame are invisible in my personal experience watching 3-D movies with the View-Master Deluxe VR. Only the center of the frame appears to have stereoscopic relief in the fused pair. Really, this is unacceptable.There is a slight amount of chromatic aberration (color fringing), despite the fact that the lenses themselves appear to be of good quality and stand out among many others I have seen. The extreme top and bottom of any particular stereo pair were where this was most obvious. As most of the movies I watch are in the 16x9 format, this alone was not a deal-breaker for me, but if you plan to see full-frame VR visuals, you should be mindful of the chromatic aberration.Although I genuinely believe that the View-Master Deluxe VR is a high-quality item that is worth its affordable price, I believe that it functions best when utilized for its intended usage, which is viewing exclusive View-Master content for relatively small periods of time. However, a few very particular flaws in its design prevent those of us who would want to utilize it more seriously from using it. You should probably explore elsewhere for a suitable Google Cardboard-style headset if you enjoy 3-D movies or stereo photography as a hobby.

This isn't your standard View-Master; it was modernized for the twenty-first century! In essence, this is a VR headgear akin to the Samsung Gear. The sample disc must be downloaded in order for this to work on a phone, but there are a ton of other free VR apps available for iOS or Android.The trial disc that comes with it is acceptable, and other reviews have noted that the content is not worth purchasing extra discs when the learning material is readily available in other programs. To get the headset to recognize the disc and load the material, you must briefly point it at the headset. The software kept informing me that the disc was not recognized, that I was either too close or too far away, or that I wasn't holding it steadily. It was kind of cool after I eventually got it to function. Once the disc is identified, a mini-safari (I used the wildlife VM app) comes to life right out of the disc using augmented reality (AR). You will see your table or whatever surface the disc is on and the disc. You continue to see everything in reality, including your table, chairs, and room, but you can also watch a 3D image come to life. Although it needs some improvement, it is cool. Once you click (using the orange shutter), you enter the environment fully in virtual reality. It was a safari for me. Every which direction I turned, I saw various creatures, and each one had a floating icon that you could point at to get further Nat Geo information.Putting content discs aside, the lack of a functional phone vent is the reason I gave it a 4-star rating. It takes a lot of CPU to run VR on your phone, and once my phone became too hot and shut down till it cooled. Since then, I have not played it for long enough to cause it to become overheated, but every time I remove the headset from my phone, the temperature is much above 110 F. Additionally, headphones cannot be plugged in, at least not on my LG G4. Some VR apps use stereo sound, which is difficult to hear through a headset and even harder to hear in stereo, to make the VR experience more realistic. These are the only two main issues I have.Overall, this is a fantastic update of a classic. My son (and I) will continue to use this for a while because there are so many VR apps and 360-degree YouTube movies available right now.[...]. Thanks!

You want to use your phone to test out virtual reality. It's Batman: the Animated Series, and View-Master is a dependable company! No question, right? What I wish I knew before making the purchase was as follows:Purchase another viewer. I won't lie; the large Bat sign on the front is what made me desire this one. Go for it if the branding appeals to you. It does a terrific job of aesthetically delivering the VR experience. However, there are two crucial flaws (as well as a few smaller ones) that ought to be deal-breakers:The lack of a strap to secure it on your head is the first drawback. The main issue is this. It is exhausting to hold the viewer up to your face for any length of time, and it can be challenging to keep the viewer stable, which makes it challenging to focus. Both of these issues can be solved by sitting at a table and resting your elbows there for support, but many VR programs, like the one featured here, require you to turn around, which is difficult to do when seated.The inability to wear glasses while using the viewer is the second largest issue. Since I can see without glasses thanks to my nearsightedness, anyone who cannot should think about using a different viewer.There aren't any connectors for headphones or a charger, and some users say the clasp is difficult to unlock; nevertheless, I haven't personally experienced either of those small drawbacks.
