I'm thrilled with the case, especially for the price. The supplemental items are very good.I read over a few of the reviews and would concur with some of the points.When the camera was in the case, there was a very tiny rattle. There isn't much more that can be done to prevent this given the design, so I fixed it by taping the sliding cover. The original GoPro plastic cover may have tightened around the camera because of this, but I am much more sure that this can withstand the punishment that my camera receives, earning it 5 stars.The tensioned lock may not be able to hold the back sliding piece in place during vigorous activities. Can you hold it backwards? Yes. Will it remain in place while riding a dirt bike upside down? Maybe? The tape I added to the back sliding door to stop it from rattling has the extra benefit of applying pressure to keep the door in place. Once more, I was already aware of this from the reviews, therefore no stars deducted. Even at a same price, I would still place additional orders. I wouldn't mind using something like a thumb screw or anything else to secure the door, even if it were less handy and more reliable. I don't see myself pulling the camera out of the case very much when out in the field because everything is available on it inside the case. Just my viewpoint.It is heavier than the GoPro plastic case, of course, but I was unsure if I could use the floating GoPro handle with it. It does float in my sink, but just barely. If the handle's foam becomes soaked, I'd be hesitant to use the case. I was thinking this might serve as both a waterproof and land-based case for the GoPro, but I'm not sure it can. Put a glass protector on it because it is easily scratched. Greatly effective when used for 6 dives between 50 and 90 feet. No fogging or leaks. Used for snorkeling around 15 times with no problems. Quite large for a woman's wrist, however it fits me perfectly. similar to the locking swivel The non-stainless screw was the only drawback. Rusted on day one. All is well after being replaced with another normal screw. Be cautious not to damage the lock.This took excellent films and was incredibly simple to use. Much more convenient and superior to a mask or chest strap. The best aspect is that it truly is hands-free. Additionally, sound was really good even 80 feet below ground—I have no idea how.

In the Abacos, I went snorkeling for 7 days straight, sometimes twice a day. This works fantastically as additional protection for my GoPro Hero 7 Black, which is already water resistant. I liked not having to take the lens off to get it into the case like the GoPro version does. I purchased both, but I'm going to return the more costly GoPro case. With the exception of the lack of apertures to let air bubbles escape the space between the case and the filter, the red filters performed well. (Perhaps I'll do some drilling.) I still have a working older Go Pro Hero 4 in a case with a red filter that has holes for airflow. This is not a serious issue. You only need to pay attention to it whenever you are above water. The pads to prevent any moisture buildup were much appreciated. Utilized them and experienced no issues with lens fogging up (moisture build up). Overall, it was excellent.

For my Hero 7 Black, I bought the Kupton underwater housing and the GoPro Super Suit. I haven't yet put either underwater to the test.I AM NOT ASSOCIATED WITH KUPTON OR GOPRO IN ANY WAY, AND THIS IS AN UNSOLICITED COMPARISON.1) GoPro has an edge right out of the box. The Kupton was packaged in a modest, unremarkable cardboard box. The packaging for the GoPro was nicer than what you may see on a store shelf.2) PRICE: Kupton is in the lead. At around $20, the Kupton housing was around $15 less expensive than the GoPro on Amazon.3) BUILD QUALITY: GoPro has the upper hand. The difference between these two housings is HUGE. Both plastic housings appear to be sturdy, but when compared to the GoPro, THE HINGE ON TOP OF THE KUPTON THAT LATCHES THE BACK IS A VERY WEAK POINT. This IS GOING TO BREAK, and QUICKLY. This might make a dive trip unfun. The GoPro clasp is very sturdy and appears to be able to withstand repeated opening and closing of the housing. Kupton won't do it.4) USABILITY: Kupton is in the lead. The protective lens from your GoPro must be removed in order for it to fit. The Kupton does not need to do this in order to accept the camera. It is also not the simplest thing to remove.OVERALL IMPACT: Firstly, DON'T BELIEVE EVERY REVIEW. I can imagine a rival business manipulating reviews to encourage customers to purchase a poor quality item on Amazon. Now that I've paid my own money for both the Kupton and the GoPro, I would choose the GoPro Super Suit above the Kupton for one reason: the hinge system. Your scuba/snorkeling adventure could be made or broken by this tiny metal locking clip. Even if the Hero 7 is waterproof, let's suppose that you will still house your camera since you are looking for an underwater housing. Now, if Kupton were to replace this lock, they may very well assert that their housing is the better because it prevents the need to disassemble your camera. Another thing to consider is that utilizing a housing made by GoPro rather than an aftermarket brand is nearly always preferable in the event that something were to happen to your camera.NOTE: While your camera is inside the housing, the on/off and record buttons on both the GoPro and the Kupton are pressed by tiny actuation pins. These pins might eventually wear through the rubber buttons on your camera, in my opinion. I might put something in place for mine to prevent this.

I got this bag for a dive trip I'm going on soon. Thought I had done enough research, but apparently not. I chose this case because of the many positive reviews. A red PolarPro filter I purchased does not stay in place. Really, I'm disappointed. If I don't need a filter, I might keep the casing. I awarded it four stars because it appears to be a really solid, well-made case, but I deducted one because the filter didn't fit. The case has not yet been applied.

This item was perfect for $12. My Hero4 Silver uses it. Although I haven't used it underwater, I'm confident it would be safe. The door's watertight seal is great. You won't truly know for sure until you immerse it, but the two seals (o-rings around button shaft) on each button seem to be a tight seal. I'm prepared to wager that it would be safe down to a depth of at least 10 feet, if not more. I'm sure it would work well to protect it from water when it rains or splashes on it, but I'm not sure how it would fare if it were submerged (mainly because I haven't tested it yet).It costs only a quarter as much as the pricey GoPro brand case, yet is almost comparable. In fact, when I purchased it, I had plans to modify and grind the casing to suit my needs. In either case, the value is excellent. The GoPro is a touch tight/stuck in the case when I open the back to remove it and place it in my palm. I believe the reason why it doesn't just fall out into your hand like it does with the GoPro brand case is because the circle part of the GoPro that wraps around the lens is just a tiny bit snug. One more observation: the buttons differ somewhat from those on the GoPro case. They are somewhat elevated above the button's plastic encircling circle. This might make it possible for something to grab underneath the button, but I personally don't believe that's a problem in the slightest. The GoPro case is on the left in the images, while this particular brand's case is on the right.

The major reason I chose this over the dive suit for my GoPro Hero5 is that this model does not call for the removal of the front camera cover. Open the clasp, place the camera inside, and then close it. Done. The mounting tabs are compatible with all GoPro mounts, and it mounts just like the dive suit. I recently got back from a four-day diving vacation to Key Largo. The residence is rated 5 stars. The housing's interior remained completely dry. There are no leaks coming from the back hatch or any buttons. It easily attached to my Makit 360° Rotating Sports Camera Wrist Strap. For this housing, there are filters that fit over the lens port. Because the lens port is larger than the dive suit to fit the full camera, you must be SURE that you are purchasing filters for this specific model. The clear back plate makes it simple to choose Camera Modes and frame photographs because it is easy to see the LCD. Since the back hatch is made of hard plastic, you cannot use the LCD's touch functionality. The buttons were simple to use.I was not exceeding the case's design restrictions because the maximum depth for the dives was 26 feet.— Revision — This matter has been with me for well over a year. Even after several dives to a depth of 60 feet, the case's interior is completely dry. The thumbscrew is the only component that does not appear to be fresh new. There is some corrosion on the threads because I have used this in saline water a few times. not enough to stop it from working. I doubt it would be a problem if you are more careful while using freshwater to rinse it than I did. But replacements are incredibly affordable. Surprisingly, the camera still captures a significant amount of underwater sound. On my most recent trip to the Keys, I could hear trigger fish munching on the coral in the distance.

I use a GoPro 3 and a GoPro 3 when I'm snorkeling. I had invested in viewing plates for each camera I use to record as I snorkel. When using this viewing plate, a new rear plate for the housing is required. Until I got the replacement housings in the mail, I was using two different housings for each of my cameras. Even though I've used these cameras for years, I didn't realize the housings weren't interchangeable until I tried to add the rear plate to this one and realized it was too small.
