These wood slices are excellent for crafts, however for a few reasons, I'm taking one point off the rating. First of all, the ones I got have a very noticeable wood grain. I originally intended to rubber stamp on these, but the wood grain will make that look awful, so I made woods ornaments instead. Additionally, I will need to drill new holes or hot glue hangers to several of my ornaments because the holes are too far into the ornament or in the improper location. Additionally, each slice of wood had to be cleaned because it was covered in wood dust.Despite everything, I still really adore these. Fantastic edge bark makes for the ideal farmhouse or forest adornment. They are not too heavy for a Christmas tree and are extremely light. Here is a picture of what I accomplished with them.

These wood slices were purchased by me to make hand-painted holiday ornaments. They arrived swiftly and matched the description accurately.Since this is a natural wood product, it's a bonus that no two are exactly alike. There were probably four slices that could not be used because of peculiarities after I ordered two packs, for a total of 60 pieces (like a hole drilled too close to the edge, cracking, etc). But given the price and the nature of the product, I didn't find that surprising.Because of the useless pieces, I only gave four stars. However, they were minor, and I would buy these again.

These natural wood slices were originally purchased in five 30Ct packets for a total of 150 wedding favors for my daughter's December wedding. Additionally, I get customized 2 inch stickers to adhere on each slice. Although the size of the wood slices varied, most of them were still big enough to hold the 2 inch stickers. In order to hang the stickers as ornaments on Christmas trees for our wedding guests, I needed to be able to run the natural jute twine rope (included) through the predrilled hole. This was made possible by the placement of the predrilled hole. I had to adhere the sticker to the rope since some of the holes had to be drilled closer to the wood's center ( see the picture of the smaller wood slice). However, the majority of the slices were able to fit the stickers and will be lovely wedding favors. There were only three flawed wood slices ( see photo). The bark was peeling off the sides of the other two and one had a break in it. It was a relatively small percentage of damaged goods, though, since just 3 out of 150 wood slices had this problem. Anyone reading this should be sure to order a little bit extra than they need just in case. Due to possible defects, don't order the precise quantity required. The wood itself is lovely and silky. I'd definitely make another buy. I decided to offer each wedding guest two mints and a slice of cake in an organza gift bag.

Since the price hasn't been set, I can't comment on the worth of these since I purchased them to try before release (on Amazon), but I can say that they are extremely cool. They are of a fantastic size, are expertly sliced, and have a beautiful "crust." They have a really excellent size of 2.5 to 3 inches in diameter. And rather thin—barely an inch and a half. They are really light, so if that matters to you, the type of wood they are—I'm not sure—is a soft wood. The ones I received are absolutely spotless and free of imperfections. They are generally fairly neatly cut, but they feel a little dusty, and the soft wood is going to be a little porous, so they might need a small sanding depending on your use.These, however, are great for festive or rustic crafts and projects, depending on the final cost.
