By using the "DAY, Date, and Time," I also altered how the stamp prints, and everything now lines up and fits perfectly. The employee fills in "2018" (or whatever the year is) in the "No.____" section at the top of the time card, and the issue is resolved.This is really straightforward to use, simple to line up (I use the included cards), and uncomplicated.Although I haven't used the customer service, other reviews seemed to really like it.This time clock is perfect, and I heartily suggest it.

For my tiny business, the Lathem Heavy Duty Time Clock has proven priceless. It is now much simpler to keep track of the hours and jobs of employees. The time must be adjusted every month since it loses between 5 and 7 minutes. That's something I can deal with; I can just adjust.Additionally, I advise buying through Amazon. The initial one we got didn't work. Nothing the Lathem guy recommended when I called to troubleshoot worked, so he stated he would call again on Monday to arrange a replacement. Despite numerous communications, the Lathem person was never heard from again. Despite Lathem's oversight, they quickly replaced it after I alerted them. I appreciate Amazon's prompt answer.

This time clock is dependable and decent. You can use almost any time card you want with it. The same model, which was 14 years old, was just replaced. We decided not to search for an alternative model because there was no justification for doing so. Instead of printing the minutes in "actual minute" format, it would be preferable to have the option to print the minutes in a percentage format. It would take less time to calculate the day's total. A very high-quality machine all over.

My CD was broken and couldn't be installed correctly, but I was able to find everything I needed on their website (in the paperwork) and presto!As long as the computer you install the timecard software onto is on the same local network, you can use wired or wireless networking, and you can download it from anywhere! (Clearly, this was not the case for us previously.) I found it simple to complete all the setup on the PC and simply upload everything to the device.Staff fingerprinting handled smoothly and swiftly. In five minutes, I believe I enrolled 7 people. Few punches are missed, and those that are appear to be the result of timing mistakes. The electronic time cards are simple to read and comprehend. There is only one break that we require staff to clock out for, therefore we don't use or need any of the more intricate functions.I'm incredibly pleased with this purchase and want to buy a few more.

These are my early observations as we have not yet used this product over time; I just installed these today. But knowledge I wished I had BEFORE beginning the system installation... If you decide to buy, I hope it helps. The decision was made that this was the best course of action because an employee cannot just hand another employee their ID number or RFID card to punch in on their behalf and must physically be present to do so.Installing isn't that difficult. It's not so easy to create a user account (yes, as others have noted, this is a cloud based-online system). The "Quick Start Guide" that is included in the box is entirely useless because there is no way to get things going quickly. Before mounting the system, I STRONGLY advise reading the instructions. They assume a lot of things, like that you'll create your internet account before installing the clock (s). It was challenging to decide what to do first because my maintenance guy arrived earlier and placed them up before I had an account. If I had been there, I would have been able to use our wifi, but first I would have needed to figure out how to enter the proper area of the time clock system. Additionally, our wifi password has numbers. The instruction booklet includes a chart that demonstrates how to enter letters and special characters using a numerical keyboard but NOT numbers. (Which, surprisingly, was NOT easy even though it should have been.) I had to figure it out on my own, but I can't even recall how I did it now that I'm writing this. If possible, it's ideal to bring a laptop to the location where you mounted the clock so you may switch back and forth between it and the computer (unless the clock is mounted next to a desktop). Additionally, be sure to have all of your employees' contact information on hand (Name, DOB, email, and phone) as you will need it for the computer before entering their information into the time clock (for which you only need their finger and DOB). You will then need to return to the computer to link the fingerprint(s) with the user profiles. By the way, adding more than one fingerprint per user is possible even if there are no instructions for doing so.The Administrator does not count as an employee, and I'm not sure that Supervisors do either, according to the online chat/help function (which I've had to use a couple of times and they are polite and helpful). I made the error of using my regular work email address as the administrator e-mail because I am the Administrator. However, because I am an hourly worker, I had to enter my information in the same manner. However, because I had used our employees' email addresses as their logon names for the system, I had to log back in as the administrator. Since our company's initials are ABC, I had to change the administrator's first name to "ABC" and last name to "Administrator" in order for me to exist separately from that logon. Additionally, a generic work email address has to be used as the Admin email address. Not too difficult, but also not very user-friendly.In California, regardless of the amount of hours worked each week, employees MUST be paid overtime for any hours beyond 8 per day. This could be handled by the clock, but I had to use the online chat service once again. It appears that it is not a viable alternative. The online system must first be informed that employees who work more than 40 hours per week are eligible for overtime pay. THEN, other choices (such as overtime after a specific amount of hours per day or a daily maximum) appear.Additionally, using their "Departments," I created two departments: one for my hourly workers and one for my paid workers. (Everyone punches in; paid employees are responsible for tracking vacation days.) However, as salaried staff are not eligible for overtime, employing the "Departments" function was advantageous because they could be organized as a group in that way.Last but not least, there are no directions for punching in. Even as you read this, I'm sure it seems ridiculous, but I connected my fingerprint to the computer profile, typed my information into the computer, then inserted my fingerprint into the clock. I just stood there after that. Was it necessary for me to enter a few numbers into the clock to indicate that I was punching in for the day? Should I choose a "Department"? I simply touched the reader with my finger, and it punched me. I instantly attempted to punch back out, but I was unsuccessful. (I suppose that's to prevent people from striking again if they think they forgot.) I'm not sure how long the wait will be, though. How long must I wait, for example, if I punch out for the day but then my phone rings and I have to punch back in? I punched in again a little while later and have now punched out once more. It contains two distinct manuals to thoroughly walk you through the procedures, and the setup was actually quite simple.Because there is no way to link the two, their online time sheet manager is essentially useless. Instead, you should utilize a real time clock or software to keep track of your personnel.Overall, I think it looks amazing, and I particularly enjoy how the timesheets themselves are designed. Very thorough yet very simple to read.Regarding the hardware itself, I would say that it appears to be performing an excellent job of keeping track of all my employees, their lunches and breaks, overtones, and other activities. I'd unquestionably suggest it to someone who is sick of keeping track and manually recording the hours. This will greatly simplify both your personal and professional lives.

It is inexpensive, and if that bothers you, you should truly consider the total cost of ownership of other systems that depend on MSSQL server and all the necessary setup.There is nothing to install; the entire system is web-based. Additionally, because it is web-based, it works with OS X, Windows, and other systems.Since even the images on their own website show a power cord strewn across the wall, I believe they should have manufactured this using POE.We have one that is wall mounted with the POE splitter hidden behind the wall because I didn't like that. No cable mess since this is in the lobby area at the entrance. We want to look like a tech company.In conclusion, buy it! Oh, and this is crucial: relatively few finger prints are incorrectly read when employees clock in.
