Basil, bay leaf, chervil, fennel, marjoram, rosemary, summer savory, tarragon, thyme, and lavender flower are among the ten herbs that often make up the mixture, however it can be interpreted in a variety of ways (as is the case with everything in this world).Only this Spiceology mix contains all 10 of these fundamental components out of all the herbs de Provence that are presented in the search results. Some have as little as four. Some people blatantly avoid lavender. Lavender alone does not make hdP.By recipe, Spiceology triumphs. But they decide to flavor the mixture with oregano. Adding oregano to herbs de Provence, in my 53 years of expertise, makes the Italian seasoning taste more like herbs de Puglia. That is what I store on the same shelf as my HDP. I give them four dots for it and ask that they take the oregano out and take good care of the lavender. Real dried lavender resembles dried violets in appearance. It would be beneficial to include some dried orange peel (not lemon!). I use a container that I keep next to my HDP, next to my Italian seasoning, to perform this.Only the chef's recommendation is a deal-breaker out of the aforementioned issues. This Spiceology combination is the best option if you're looking for herbs de Provence and you're in the right place.

The amount of marjoram in this container makes it well worth the cost. I hardly dented the top of this container and filled my empty McCormick marjoram bottle. enough for the remainder of my life. I keep my spices in the fridge so they last a lifetime. Although I am not an expert in terms of quality, it seems fine and on par with the expensive brand.

The tiny jars that are less than half an ounce in size (and almost as expensive as this large bag!) get exhausted very easily over here! [My tip: I chop some, put it in a glass jar that is empty, and use it until it is gone, then chop more and repeat.]The herb tarragon is great in many meals because of its mild licorice-like flavor (note: I detest licorice, but tarragon is subtle and I like it).
